I took a Topiramate 50mg for a migraine and i have a drug test for probation on friday. Will it show up? I dont use any other drugs. ## Hi sean, Although I don't think any probation test would cover this specific drug, Topiramate is generally excreted from the body within 4-5 days, in part, due to it's long 21 hour half-life. The example shown below, puts the half-life into better perspective: Monday - 50mg Tuesday - 25mg Wednesday - 12.5mg Thursday - 6.25mg Friday - 3.12mg Saturday - 1.56mg I'd say by Friday you should have 95% of it or more out of your system; especially if you're drinking plenty of fluids and eating clean. I hope this helps! ## I take Topamax too. After testing positive for a synethnic form of THC and I know I am clean. I starting researching about To...

I have observed several side effects while taking Topiramate as prescribed by my doctor. I know I need to be careful when consuming alcohol and taking this medication. With that being said, I am an adult and fully aware of my actions, and although I am not increasing my consumption, but furthermore more mindful and drinking what I would consider less. I am noticing nights where I am forgetting a lot the next day or black outs... has anyone else had this occur as well while taking this mediation? I am only on 50mg. ## There are warnings stating that you should not mix alcohol with Topirimate, due to the side effects that it may cause, which could include psychological issues, severe dizziness, drowsiness, and memory issues. I picked up a new RX today for Topiramate 50mg. I tested positive for benzodiazapine for a job. I think they just used a test strip. I had a single dose of 200mg topiramate xr given by my doctor. I had bactrim ds, prescribed by my doctor. I had not eaten for 20 hours so I know my glucose and ph levels were out of range. Any ideas? ## If they use the cheap, unreliable tests like that, it can be hard to say, because there are many substances that can cause them to show false positives. It could be related to one of the medications you took, or something over the counter. The antibiotics, such as Bactrim, are known to cause false positives, not usually for Benzodiazepines, but as I said, with such tests, there's a large measure of unpredictability. ## Could bactrim cause a false positive for suboxone or subutex? ## Actually Bactrim,...
