I get panic attacks when having to fly , doc gave me some Xanax 250mcg to take before flying. Will I become addicted to this medication and will I get side effects or withdrawl symptoms from using Xanax for 2 days flying each way??? Maybe I should just cancel my flight.??? ## Using that low of a dosage, only when you fly, will not result in addiction or withdrawal symptoms. It takes much more frequent use to do that. I have asthma too and my doctor said that ibuprofen can be bad for asthmatic. Since I always took ibuprofen and it was always ok, for me there is no problem with that. Bus asthmatic must be careful with it. About arcoxia and ibuprofen. Right now I'm taking arcoxia for my arthritis (witch says on the flyer that can also be bad for asthma when having a crisis because it can increase the mucous of the lungs). I have been on Pristiq for a couple of years now beginning on 50 mg then up to 100 mg for depression and anxiety. I am now experiencing some difficulty with time. For example I may be creating a flyer to send out which should take 30 minutes tops but before I know it 2 hours have passed and I have no idea why it has taken me this long. I look at the document and it is definitely not 2 hours worth of work. It is really weird and very unsettling. It is happening more and more and my ability to rationalise seems to be getting worse. In September 2015 and in June 2016 I developed a blot clot in a superficial vein in my right quadricep. Both resolved themselves. Because I was scheduled to fly my vascular surgeon sent me to a benign hematologist who proposed I take 2.5 mg of the drug two hours before a flight and a second dose twelve hours after the first. I followed the doctor's directions and was fine. I go to the clinic once a week and get take homes I am on 100mg of methadone daily. I have had the fly and thur my dose up after taking it within 5 min of swallowing it. I am flying to Mazatlan, Mexico from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. My Dr., has given me a week of carries for this trip. Each dose will be in a small bottled with the label from the drug store on it. My Doctor told me to put them in my carry on, in a ziplocked baggie and lined up so customs can see them clearly. These are 0.5mg tablets and for Xanax, that's a relatively high dose. You shouldn't take any medication that has not been prescribed for you and benzodiazepines can be very dangerous, if you aren't tolerant to them. Additionally, if you take them for awhile at a higher dose, by doubling up, then suddenly run out and stop, it creates the risk of seizures. It would also help if you could show that you were written a prescription for it, although like I said, as long as you aren't taking a bunch with you it shouldn't be an issue. ## The U.S. does permit up to 3 months worth of prescription items that do not have an equivelent available here or were prescribed for you use elsewhere.
