Enlarged Heart

My friend's feet and ankles have been swollen and redish purple for about 6 months now. He is winded all the time and [years ago] has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart. he is not diabetic [we check him regularly], but his heart rate is usually over 110. ## Hello, DonnaMarie! Around 4 years ago our American Eskimo Spitz was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. We treated him for nearly a year for that problem through our family vet., but the medicine he was on didin't help. Finally he referred us to a specialist in Gathersburg, MD. At that appointment he was diagnosed with COPD, and the medicine he was treated with could have caused kidney failure. That vet put him on the tussigon and it does help some. The reason I am writing is because I see that several people have written in that they have the same breed of dog that we have. Just make sure that your diagnoses is correct and your dogs are being treated for the correct illness. Our American Eskimo developed a cough about a month ago. She has an enlarged heart and possible collapsing trachia. She's 15 yrs and has been put on Tussigon. However, when she's on it she stops eating. Is there an alternative withouut the Homatropine additive? ## Tussigon contains Hydrocodone and Homotropine. My doc has advised ROTUMAC 10 THRU OUT MY LIFE TO BE TAKEN FOR MY ENLARGED HEART. I AM ALSO AN ASTHAMATIC . PLS ADVISE THE SIDE EFFECTS IF I STOP IT AFTER AWHILE. ## This medication is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol levels. Would you get heart palpitations and or pvc if you start skipping taking your alpha blockers like flomax for instance?my husband uses it for his enlarged prostate ## Hello, Terry! Sir I am S.N.Phukan 55 years old man. My prostrate is enlarged to 41 gr. Previously I took silofast-8 now doctor changed it to urimax-D at bed time. I took also Olmezest-20 for blood sugar. I am also a heart patient. This year 25th September placed a pace maker in my heart before placing pace maker I was fall down and injured in my nose. I took also ecosprin-150 and atorva-20mg for heart. How long I will take urimax-D. To day my fasting blood sugar is 199.
