i have been diagnosed with glaucoma and have had reactions to all the drops prescribed so far. Is this common? ## I am curious as to what type of reaction you had. My mother in law had a very strange reaction or episode to some drops for glaucoma. She got extreme pain in her eyes, soreness on her lids. Extreme headache. She was in distress but as of this date, we have no answers. Stopped the drops of course, no answers as to whether this drop could have caused all this. Her vision is so blurry, which is another reaction. Dr. sending for MRI of brain. Pain is not in Occipital lobe of her head. Do not understand.. ## What drops did you try, and what type of reactions did you have? Most of them can cause side effects, such as eye irritation, burning, blurry vision, and headache, which is c...

I had a mild cough so i went to the pharmacy to get some antibiotic... Later to see he gave me 4 tablets (disprin, cobadex, celin and azithromycin). After taking all these now I'm feeling even more worse. For e.g.; increase in body temp, headache and body pain. Is it a side effect or some contraindication of combining all these drugs? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects. The NIH lists others as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, dry mouth, and diarrhea. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are these the only medications you take?

Dextroamp Amphet Er 30 mg combined with Zoloft 25 mg for a twelve year old boy with suspected ADHD. What will the results be? ## Hopefully this boy hasn't already taken the combination, as there are potentially dangerous interactions listed between these two medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using sertraline together with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. Sertraline can increase the effects of amphetamine, and side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, and racing thoughts have been reported. Combining these medications can also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes ...

I'm curious about the Lypin-10 that I got from JPEE Drugs. It's supposed to be Zolpidem. They are bright orange round pills in a blister pack of 10. ## This matches the description of their 10mg Lypin pills that are supposed to contain Zolpidem, as listed by JPee, however, I can't confirm that is what they are. That's one of the hazards or ordering from unapproved, foreign sources, there's no way to be certain of what you've received. Have you tried contacting the company you ordered from to double check? ## I have been using Ambien for years and recently received a pack of 10 mg. pills that have no marks and are BRIGHT ORANGE. Are these real Zolpidem tablets? Has anyone taken bright orange blank tablets? ## I got the same pills today, did they work for you? ## I...

I am 22 years old and I have been on the following antipsychotic drugs for the past five years: Quitipin 25Mg (1) + Lamitor 50Mg (2) + Venlift 75Mg (1) + Bupron 50Mg (1). I had a few incidents in school due to which I was hospitalized for hyperventilation. My psychiatrist diagnosis was that I have bipolar disorder. Considering the amount of information that I have read online and from books and various posts on support groups, I'm not quite sure if I still have bipolar disorder or something else. I take five tablets a day and I feel like I've been on these tablets for way too long. I'm stable, I've just completed my masters and I'm going to start my career. It's that stage of my life where I'm unsure whether I should reduce these tabs now and undergo therapy ...

its a combination of angiotensin 2 receptor blocker and ACE inhibitor, which did not obtain any benefits in the end point of cardiovascular death, MI, stroke, heart failure. but it has increased the incidence of renal dysfunction(death, doubling of serum creatinine) compared with groups receiving telmisartan or ramipril alone.so concomitant use of these drugs not required. ## Telmisartan is an ARB that is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. All medications have certain only medications that they should not be mixed with, since doing so can cause dangerous complications. However, in some cases of severe cardiac problems or medication resistant hypertension, it is necessary to mix the ARB's with ACE inhibitors and the instance of dangerous reactions is ve...

i want to know that the drugs like painkillers, paracetamol tablets and drugs used for common cold and cough ,are they allowed legally to be sold at general merchant store or in a grocery shop ## It depends what country you are in. There are several that use the Schedule K list and it is not identical in all of them, There are some countries where a narcotic like Codeine can be purchased over the counter and others where it is not. Most general medications, that are not considered controlled substances, such as Paracetamol can be sold over the counter in virtually any store. Where are you located?

Has anyone established whether this batch of Orlistat is fake? I have my suspicions but as I've only been taking them for 2 days, I'm still not sure. ## An update on my original post. I ordered Xenical (Orlistat) from canada-pharmacy-24h.com and I received my order within two week. A generic drug called Co-Orly 120 was sent out to me direct from an Indian company called Combitic Global. I am very familiar with Orlistat and I know what to expect when I take it and without going into details, I realised within a few days that there was something odd about these tablets and I became pretty convinced that they didn't contain Orlistat. I also checked this site and read that others were concerned about these tablets, all had the same batch number. I then sent Canada Pharmacy a pol...

Hi, I am 17, and I am facing some problem since 3 months. I suffer panic attacks nearly every week. I feel heavy at my chest, and suffocated in the morning when I wake up. Whenever I feel such heaviness and suffocation it makes me dizzy and unable to walk, I fall asleep unknowingly, and the chest pain is unbearable. I showed to a doctor, and he prescribed TRIKA-0.25 and PAN-D (both are said to be schedule H drug), I am taking them since last month, and the dose is to be completed now, but my problem isn't yet solved. The interval between the pains and attacks are increased but they are still there. I hope I'll get some help here.

bar shaped pill with G L on it ## It seems that if it only has the GL on it, with no other numbers or logos, then it is said to be 1mg of Alprazolam, a generic for Xanax, from India. Can anybody tell me what anti-emetic (anti-nausea) medication(s) have worked best for them? And please be sure it's not in a suppository form. Oral (tablets) would be preferred. I'm even open to natural remedies along these lines. I've tried peppermint oil and it helps, but I would really love something completely effective. At one time I was prescribed Omeprazole (APO generic) but I don't feel like it worked well for me. ## Well, to start with you might consider Emetrol - When I was taking flight lessons that was the only thing the FAA would allow anybody to take for motion sickness. It is technically just a sugar compound so there are no "drugs" in it. I know nausea may or may not be caused by motion sickness and that there could be other root causes, so if it ...

I was given 4 small white pills to sedate me before having a total MRI at the Atlanta VA I was told it wouldn't put me to sleep but it would make me not care. I had to call out of work today because I can barely function. ## I believe the medication that you are referring to is ATIVAN. It can be used as a sedative for combative patients. ## Ativan contains the active ingredient Lorazepam, it is a Benzodiazepine that is commonly used to treat anxiety, nervous disorders, and for its sedative like effects. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming if taken long-term, and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. I'v...

Are there any lactose free cholesterol drugs ## It is very hard to say, since each company that makes them has their own formula of ingredients. ## calcium citrate lactose free ## I am lactose/milk and povidone intolerant. My medications all contain 1 or more of these allergens, Atenolol, Levothyroxine, HCTZ. Taking these with antihistamine (also containing lactose) still triggers migraines daily, for which I take caffeine to counteract. Is there any way I can get allergen free medications. My doctor & pharmacy don't have a clue or don't care to find the answer. I am developing arthritis and dental pain from using these meds. Please help ## I, too, am allergic to lactose (milk) and corn. I just researched and found Levothyroxin made by Sandoz that does not have these ingredi...

a really good drug for nerve pain is neourotin or gapabentin (same thing) i may be spelling wrong. but it does wonders. your welcome. ## I am starting to wonder what is wrong with me even more because Gabapintin 600mgs does nothing at all for my pain from a frostbitten foot compounded by electrical shock while standing in some water while plugging up a buffer from a 220 volt socket Plus for some reason doctors here in Indianapolis don't have a clue as how to treat my problem. Does anybody know when the 2010 top 200 drugs list will be out??? I'm trying to study for the PTCB and getting very confused over the top 200 drugs that I find on the internet and in my book, because the lists are SO DIFFERENT!!! ## I have to tell you, I searched google as well as other databases and haven't come across a list for 2010 either. There only seems to be the previous 2009 and under list available to the public. I find it interesting though how the 2008 and 2009 list were both published around May the following year on the various sites I have checked. Maybe the 2010 list is due around this time frame as well? I suppose we can only wait and find out as it is bound to come out sooner or later. I will be sure to post back if I come across anything in the meantime.
