Which combination solve the best for stomach discomfort and belching? 1) antacids (mylanta, magtasil, aromag, hydrosil tablet) 2) PPIs (omeprazole) 3) H2 blockers (ranitidine, famotidine) 4) Meteospasmyl, domperidone Doctor prescribed me with Magtasil, DomperidoneandOmeprazole. But I still feel too much gas in the stomach and cause me to belch a lot. I was thinking to replace Magtasil with Hydrosil tablet as it contains Simethicone that's used to help to break the gas bubbles. My question 1) Can I take Hydrosil withOmeprazoleandDomperidone? 2) Any side effects? ## I did not find drug interactions listed between Hydrosil (Simethicone) and Omeprazole. I took omaprazole last night and got very sick then my tongue and pallet swelled with my tongue burning and the roof of my mouth burning. I am allergic to FD&C yellow 5 and 6. Is this the name for yellow 10 and why do they put this into medicine when so many asthmatics have this allergy? The FDA should ban all colors in pills to help with this and make drug companies stamp the name of the drug on the pill or some other type of identification. ## No, FD&C Yellow 5 and 6, are Yellow 5, and Yellow 6, Yellow 10 is a different one, that's why they are numbered like that, to tell them apart. Many companies have been removing the colors, due to the fact that some people are sensitive, or allergic to them. The FDA didn't ban them, because overall, they are generally considered s...

I had been taking the tan and beige prescription formula 20mg delayed release version of Omeprazole to treat my acid reflux for several months with no adverse effects. When I refilled the prescription this time, the pharmacy gave me the Mylan 6150, and after 3 days on it I developed a scary heart arrhythmia, so I stopped it immediately. The pharmacist argues that it is exactly the same medication; they just changed generic providers. Is this true? ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? Mylan Pharmaceuticals does list it as containing 20mgs of Omeprazole, but this is a regular release formulation, not a time released one, which might explain why you suddenly experienced side effects from taking it. The FDA does list bradycardia, tachycardia, palpitations, and hypertension as all being possible sid...

Within 15 minutes of taking Losec (Omeprazole) 20mg, I am giddy and dizzy. Is it because I have been taking it for a long time? after stopping meds omeprazole 20mg twice a day which i took for 45 days, i suffered from acid rebound, severe burning sensation in stomach i never felt before after i was told by a gastroent to stop taking meds. he put me on mucosta 3x a day for 7 days and asked me to come back if symptoms still there. is mucosta safe to take 2wks and wont cause any complications? ## Why were you taking the Omeprazole? If it was to treat a specific condition, such as an ulcer or GERD, then 45 days is a really short time to be on it, most of these medications are used for at least 3 to 4 months. I have taken Omeprazole for years from various manufacturers and never had a problem. My pharmacy just switched to Kremers Urban KU 136 this week, and they don't do anything. When I am not on medication for GERD, I wake up every night gagging on vomit. In the past when I am taking Omeprazole daily, I wake up maybe one night a month usually because I ate something too close to bed time. I use a pillow wedge to sleep upright and am fine. When I took the Kremers Urban KU 136, I was up every night gagging on vomit and the pillow wedge didn't help. I bought Nexium over the counter and am now back to not having any issues. I told my pharmacy, but they didn't seem to care. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this with Kremers Urban KU 136? ## I called my pharmacy with the same...
