I found a bottle of pills in my closet with no label on it and I am trying to identify them. They are small, oval and they have 422 scored on one side. ## Hello, Ruth! How are you? This tablet is listed as containing 20mgs of Paroxetine, the active ingredient in Paxil, which is an SSRI antidepressant that's used to treat depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I found a fentanyl patch in the closet that's probably 3 months old , it wasnt ever used but it's out of its packaging . Can I still use it ? ## Hello Hunter, Yes like all medications they have an expiration date. I'm looking right now at some old 100mcg/hr for 72 hours that I use to use. I got them from the pharmacy about 6 months ago and their expiration date is Aug. 2016 So that would be about a 1 year and 8 months expiration since it was dispensed. As long as the backing hasn't been removed it should be OK and stick to the skin. Be sure to apply it where you have the most fat tissue for best absorption. DO NOT try and ingest any part of the patch's active ingredient. It can cause an overdose! The total amount of Fentanyl in the 100mcg/hr patch is 11mg total and t...

So I was in my boyfriends closet last week and I found these pills in one of his bags and the only imprint they have on them says RP 108 on one side. And the other side has nothing on it not even a line. There white and round tablet. I can’t find them anywhere online. If anyone knows or has an idea of what they are please let me know! Thank you. ## Are you sure it's 108 and not 103? The closest match I could find is RP 103 which is an OTC ultra-strength antacid; calcium carbonate 1000mg. NDC: 49035-0101 If it is RP 108 there is not listed information for such a pill.

round white pill with #44 over # 159 ## I found the pills in my closet, but the sticker with every thing written on it was torn off. ## This is the older verson of Excedrin. It has 250mg acetaminophen, 250mg aspirin, and 60mg(I think it is 60) caffeine. Newer version is an oblong pill. ## Actually, not necessarily an older version, it is just sold as Excedrin Migraine now, I just had a bottle my husband was using that had these exact pills in it, bought them at Eckerd, well it is actually the store version of Excedrin Migraine, but the same stuff. Regular Excedrin no longer includes the caffeine. ## sure it still has caffeine in it. I get both the Excedrin regular and Excedrin extra strength, generic and brand name, (not excedrin headache.) I just looked at both bottles and they have caf...

I found a pill on the floor in my spare bedroom inside the closet. It is white and oval cut in half, so its hard to identify it on pill identifier.com. One half has PI and the other half side has 17. Anyone know what this is. ## WIth only a partial imprint, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what this might be. There are several possibilities, both among prescription products and over the counter items. The best advice I can give is that you just dispose of it properly. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## @Girl26, There are 15mg Mirtazapine tablets with a similar description to what you had been able to identify. The full imprint on these tablets contain "WPI" on one side and "11" and "17" on the other side, separated by a vertical score line...

how long can you store these in your medicine closet before it is not safe to take them? ## Hello, Basil! How are you? If you are asking about a bathroom medicine chest, they should not be stored there, at all. They should be stored somewhere dark, cool and dry, like a kitchen cabinet or other closet that is away from heat, light and moisture. And they should not be kept past the expiration date on the bottle. All tablets eventually degrade and lost effectiveness. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Will prednisone help my sinus post nasel driping down my throat? ## In reading other posts it states it's okay to take medications past their expiration date. That some have a shelf life of over 15 years so why the change of heart to this response? ## Why do you keep saying that t...

yes I found a bunch of peach colored round v 2631 when I was cleaning out my 8 months closet that a friend had been using. I've done as much research as I can but I know that person don't have a prescription cause they way I have found them. my question is this since it is a type of a muscle relaxant should I be concerned for my baby's safety cause the agreement is for my friend to take care of my baby while work or have doctor appointments that I cant take her long with me. p.s im not the type of mother to put my children in any kind of harm so please don't bash I am only asking cause of the well being of my baby ## Hello, Fox! I have 50 mg tablets and they expired on 2/20/2015. I recently found them buried in my closet and started taking them. What harm can it cause? ## No harm, but they may not be as effective as they were, when new. Medications do tend to lose efficacy over time, according to NIH reports. However, the caveat I will add here is that the U.S. is one of the only countries that requires expiration dates, most others do not. But, it is always best to check with your doctor or pharmacist. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I found several of these in a baggie at home hidden in a closet. I have googled it, and even the eclipse breath mints, they aren't multicolor, and have 4 lines instead of the 5 like the mints... I actually licked it and it numbed my tongue. Please help. ## Hello Georgia, First and foremost, I strongly advise you do not lick the pills if you are unsure of what they are. If the pills do not have an imprint that means they are not U.S FDA regulated drugs. This could mean they are anything ranging from mints, vitamins, diet pills to foreign drugs. I was unable to find anything that fit your description, most of the mints or vitamins I found had either 3 or 5 lines on them, perhaps another user will come along who has seen this pill somewhere. The fact that you stated that licking them n...

I found a black and yellow capsule with 879 over 159 printed on the black half, Please help it was in my closet ## I can't find any listing for this in the prescription drug databases that I checked. It's similar to other imprints used by Halsey Pharm, so I'm wondering if it may be a discontinued product of theirs. They make a lot of antibiotics, have you or anyone else in your family been on any antibiotics at some point? Learn more antibacterial details here.

I recently found a baggy of of large red & white capsules with no imprint hidden in my teens closet. There were an even 90 capsules in the bag. He is out of town with a friend this week and we would like to identify before confronting him. My search on pill identifyer sites reveals nothing as most pharma meds must have a identifyer number, etc. These are just large red & white capsules. I want to believe they are some form of supplement he may be using for weight or sports training but identifying supplements appears impossible. The fact that there are exactly 90 capsules also leads me toward a supplement. Is there any local way to have the contents checked in a lab? Local law? Pharmacist? ## If you find a lab nearby and pay them to test them, that would probably be your only so...

I found a bottle of my gabapentin 600's in a bottle in the closet and I don't want to just pitch them if they're usable because I don't have insurance and they're expensive. What do you think? ## Hello, Lee! How are you? They should be disposed of if they are past the expiration date on the label. That is the longest period of time they be guaranteed to retain efficacy under normal storage conditions. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes and mood swings. The pill has no imprint at all, is a dark red color (almost maroon), and is 1cm wide. I have found a couple on the floor of my closet and have no idea what they are or where they came from. ## I have the same question. I have someone taking several of these pills at one time along with a combination of other pills. I have no idea what this pill is and cant find it anywhere on the internet. It is a round/red speckled pill with no markings on it. ## Because this pill has no markings, it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains, unless you would pay to have it lab tested, somewhere. If these are in fact prescription pills, It's highly unlikely that they are manufactured in the U.S, since there are no imprints. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a ...
