Why are Dr's giving this out like CANDY and it doesn't help it just makes the matter act up MORE. I don't see why they give this for everyone? They don't test us for having IBS they just say I think you have it maybe and like they told me after I used it for over two weeks and nothing but Pain in the Belly and sharp pain and all the bloating, keep taking it as it some times takes up to six weeks before it starts working. Why should my Dr. tell me that and knowing I am in lots of pain and he needs to do something for the PAIN and not just go by what this Drug may or may not do. ## Most doctors will have you try the medication before doing any tests for IBS. I started taking Cymbalta two months ago. While it has been so great for my depression, anxiety, and osteoarthritis and back pain, it makes me so sick to my stomach and I even coughed up three drops of blood last week. I go back to my psychiatrist tomorrow and I can't take it today. I am so tired. I automatically feel so depressed after I did not take it last night. I have been taking Lyrica 150 mg twice a day with 100mg sustained release tramadok (ultram) I have severe post hepetic neuralgia in my left thigh following an attack of shingles. This combination of meds has reduced pain by 59% allowing me to function, Then I noticed I was slowly and stadily gaining weight - about 30 lb. The interesting thing is it is all (nearly) belly weight - my waist has now completely dissapeared. The first side effect (i didn;t really notice the weight gain at first) was I was unsteady and my balance degenerated quite a bit. Taking 150 mg Lyrica at night for arm radioculpathy due to c5, 6, 7 herniated discs in neck. Hard to type, sorry. Hands are week. Started med on Dec. 19 so on a little over a month. My nerve pain is better, arms are not falling asleep as much. Still have deep pain in discs. Live with it, but have been offered surgery. Idk, it seems surgery may not be a guaranteed fix...sucks. I just increased my valsartan from 48 mg to 80 mg and suddenly my stomach is much larger. I have had shingles for more than a month. I went to urgent care three times already. All my doctors are on vacation now and they don't have a doctor to see me. I am in excruciating pain. First visit in urgent care they gave me Naproxen 375 mg, Valacyclovir 1 GM and Methocarbamol 500 mg at the same time. Along with Shingles I have cracked ribs too. For 10 days (this was the prescription length) I keep in control with baths with baking soda to calm down the pain and burning feeling. After that I was worse than ever. I was prescribed 10/325 Hydrocodone, and 5/325 Oxycodone. Which is stronger for pain after rotator cuff surgery? Neither is doing much good right now. ## ask if you can take vistril with the hydrocodone it will make it stronger and ease your belly so you don't get sick ## In those dosages, they are probably about equal, strength wise. ## To me the hydro/Tylenol & oxy/Tylenol gives the same relief. I have had over 20 procedures to reconstruct my urinary tract due to bladder mesh erosion. i self cath thru my belly button stoma and my entire spine has either herniated and bulging discs or fused discs and I am in EXCRUCIATING PAIN. My abdomen is the worst tho. I have a "bladder" made from resected bowel, colon and my appendix and I have "knives" and "hot pokers" in my belly 24/7. I need something stronger than a 10 mg oxycodone 4 times a day. My PCP won't do any more because of DEA. Menopause starts before two years. Last period April-2015. After 17 months one night belly lower pain starts & later bleeding starts light bleeding. Dr. advice after 15 days of bleeding completed to take the medicine 10 tab. one tab each day. want to know side effect or necessity though I am fully well now. Isosorbide mn er 30ml was added about 8 days ago to my mother's meds. She is 85. Two and a half days ago she started complaining of pain from her belly down into her upper thigh going down toward her knees in both legs. Hi there ive been using topzole for a month now doctor said I must use it for 3 months < I had mad back pain that ran straight up the spine then back and around to my stomach leaving a knot just above my belly and cramping up stomach and back also I lost 7kgs in a month , I have a concern though< having read that it causes hip fractures makes me very uneasy < and to top things off im loosing a lot of hair is this normal what do you suggest ? ## Hello, Lauren!
