How Can You Crush New Oxycontin (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I have the new oxycontin and it seems undoable to crush and take them - anybody know anything about that?

I was taking apo oxycodone 40mg 3 times a day for seven month and just recently my doc and pharmacist said they are back ordered on the apo oxycodone and don't know if they will get more cause it looks like they stopped making them! He now put me on co-oxycodone cr 20mg 2 pills 3 times a day and want to know if these 2 genaric oxycodone company's are basically the same and if this new co- oxycodone 20g will have the same effect as the apo which I found helped a great deal, because I was in a bad car accident 7 years ago and have a bad foot, ankle and back I have chronic pain and just want to know if anyone can help me and tell me if these apo pills and co pills are the same thing as my doctor and everyone else is saying they r! I find my pain is under control somewhat, but sometimes run low and have to cut a pill in half and chew or-inhale it one or twice a month only when the pain is at its worst or if I'm short a pill Hear and there! Please someone help me and tell me if these two generic companies are basically the same, thank u

Brace yourself for this, my cancer surgeon had never had a surgery in his life, when he sent me home on Norco 5mg after removing my lung. My oncologist steeped in and solved the pain problem. I think surgeons should have surgery every five years whether they need it or not to remind them what pain is.

I had to do the same thing but after about 5 yrs of methadone the side effects will start to be detrimental to your health. Teeth fall out. get REAALLY fat. Bad for joints. It makes your circulation bad. If you can get off methadone for a yr and go back your ok but in 5 yrs you HAVE to get off again. SIDE effects are very unhealthy.

Oh swim says he loves oxy's and loves to abuse them too... Just loves it, and well if your not half dumb then you would realize that theres a drug called opana Hydromorphone that is stronger and can be crushed snorted, shot, or like some of you like you can stick the powder up your ass!!! Specially for the tough Harley rider who just made a bunch of idiots believe that he figured out a way to make the time release disappear... Oh thats right it is built into the medication.... Hmmm about the most you helped with was showingg them how to put it in a poweder thats not water soluble... You deserve to go down in history, genius who cant ride a bike / crashed while on a cell phone with boyfriend, and now telling everyone how to abuse an unabusable pill.. My F'ing hero :)

i have been taking this drug for over 2 years now. 60mg 3x daily. my metabolism worked so fast that i had to take it 3x to deal with the pain. on top of that, i have been taking 6 norco 10/325 per day at the same time. the oxycontin at first was a pain reliever, but VERY soon started to just become something that made me a space cadet, and i had been taking 8-10 vicodin a day before this. i ended up losing my job. oxycontin just seemed to rob me of all my ambition and energy, among other things. i realize it wasn't just the drug, but still at this point the oxy just gets me through withdrawl symptoms. the norco, 2 10/325 at a time, 3 times daily actually makes my pain go away.

after losing my job, i went to the dr and have had him lower my oxy scrip from 60 mg 3x daily to 40 mg 3x daily, and will wean down from there. i am just sick of being a slave to this drug. i have degenerative disc disease, and one of the discs burst and left disc matter in my nerve root. i will always have pain. if i can get back to taking 8 norco a day, i'll be happy. i'm miserable now.....

Every part of your response regarding "Thanks to you guys...blah blah blah" is totally moot. If you don't abuse them as you say, it wouldn't matter if they changed the way they make them. The fact that they changed the recipe does not affect the potency or the way they deliver pain relief. It only changes the fact that you cant get that quick buzz by snorting it.

One thing it seems everyone has not mentioned or tried if it is just the buzz you want. This may sound weird, but it works. With 2-10mg Oxy OP's start to chew them, just a little mind you, then like snuff, put the resulting goo between cheek and gums. The mouth is one of the fastest routes for ingestion into the bloodstream, which is why people with heart conditions let nitro dissolve in the mouth. It takes practice, but the goo will stick to the gums, dissolve faster, and yes, a buzz is had over a longer period of time. It even sticks while drinking hot coffee, though the hot liquid melts the goo faster. Eating? well, chew mostly on the other side. Told you it sounded weird. But it does work.

One thing I wanted to add about Methadone. I to was taking 30mg per day. During one month the pain I suffer was pretty bad. 2 back Surgeries and an Abdominal Tumor removed. So I would pop an extra Methadone once in awhile. I came up 2.5 days short from my refill. Remember this was only 30mg per day Methadone. Within 24 hours the withdrawal was like nothing I had ever experienced in my life. I ended up in the emergency room. Diagnosis? Acute Methadone withdrawal. And I have been using Opiates for the last 25 years. It was then I started researching Methadone a little more. It is a wonderful, long lasting analgesic. Probably one of the best, however, the withdrawal symptoms are many, many times worse than even withdrawal from Heroin. Heroin blows through your system in about 24 hours, then comes the kick, then the flu like symptoms, then after about 4-5 days, you start to feel better. Methadone withdrawal can last for months depending on how high the dosage. This is not an anti Methadone story, just a warning to those who are on Methadone. The next Doc may not want to give it out, then what? Our Health Care system is one of the screwiest there is.

you need your doctor to send you to pain management. Government has made all the doctors afraid to write scripts for people that they know need it. And this is all about the money in big pharm, the junkies will go get heroin, the pain patients will suffer.

I have similar situation as for the pain and the so called names we get called however if you chose to end your life you will be considered the 1 thing your not I can only emagine the pain your in cause every ones is different and sometimes I feel the same as in wanting to end it all but the most important thing is to just surround yourself with something or someone who cares like get a dog ...it makes a difference to me as something then depends on you and I talk to mine and my lil dog and my pitt cant give me criticism for anything ...only love ...and I would get to a family dr. And get referred into pain clinic there are doctors that will listen and care and understand ..just dont give up and keep trying. ..hell write dr. Phil and tell him your story there is something you can do and someone who will help ..you just need to find them if your mri and xrays are like that they will help you...DONT GIVE UP AND SEEK OUT EVERY OPTION YOU CAN ...LIKE I SAID WRITE THE DOCTORS SHOW OR DE. PHIL YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THE HELP THEY CAN GIVE AND THEY CARE WHEN ACTUAL PEOPLE THERE AROUND YOU DONT AND THEY WILL SEE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT TREATMENT YOU NEED ... HOPE YOU FIND PEACE

You are obviously not in chronic pain everyday, how dare you judge others. Id love to wake up and not take a pill so i can move. But if i dont whose going to get my boys up and doing what they need to do. Oh and i use natural therapies and exercise but unfortunately i need that pill, so think before you judge others.

THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE PILL OXYCONTIN ALONE I AGREE THEY ALL SHOULD BE SUED FOR HAVING TO MESS WITH A PERFECTLY KNOWN DRUG NOW NO ONE LIKES IT AN IT IS VERY COSTLY AT OUR EXSPENCE AND IT DOES NOT WORK FOR AS LONG AS IT SHOULD. AGAIN THEY SHOULD BE SUED ,THE ONES THAT HAVE MADE THEM.

I think you are a complete ahole!! True people should not abuse any type of meds,but to wish withdrawal on anyone is just beyond being a complete ahole. If you were taking your meds correct then taking a 80mg. oc should last longer than just 4 hours. I think you are just as hooked on these things as anyone else is!!

@UndertheRadar.. I am in the SAME position you are in... I am sorry to reply twice, but I jut saw your post. Can we chat a bit? I don't know how to message anyone on here, maybe because I don't come on all that much.

I have the same name on Bluelight, maybe you could message me there-if you would. My dr wants to lower me, from the 4mg Dilaudid from every 6 to every 8.. and theres just no way I can do that. I duno what to say, how to deal with it, talk to him etc. I've been on Oxycontin and some form of bt pain relief for about 5-6 years now, the pain is actually from my spleen, it's enlarged.. about the size of a watermelon, they thought it would shrink after the liver transplant, but it hasn't.. and they say there's nothing they can do, I just dunno how I can possibly ever go off these meds or go down if the pain will never go away?

Is your spleen enlarged at all? Again, if you don't mind messaging me I'd be nice to be able to ask you a few questions.

Take it from someone who has used both types. The new OP formula is useless. It does not deliver enough medication. Everyone one needs to complain to Purdue that this stuff is a joke. It upsets your stomach, it gives you headaches and it does NOT give pain relief. if you abuse it or not. For the chronically ill patients here: If you are in that much pain, you should be taking Hydromorphone. IR. None of these these new long acting drugs are worth a damn. You can thank G Bush JR. for that. Do not be afraid to ask for what you need. If the MD thinks you are nervous about asking, he will think you are an abuser. It is a sad time when this country cares more about stopping abuse than they do pain. I wish you all in pain the best. Also there is another way it is called Suboxone. Yes it is an Opiate but with Naloxone. It will keep from you from withdrawels while bringing down your dependency very slowly. If you are sincere in wanting to be drug free, it can help. Ask your MD's they will be happy to give it to you as it is impossible to abuse. Good Luck to all.
