How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 6)

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.

hey Ron, that seams like a hell of a lot of methadone are you sure? In OZ the max dose is 200 mg or 40mls people get the dosing of methadone mixed up because some people talk in Mg's and others in mls. Generally you cant switch over to subutex/suboxone until your down to 40mgs of methadone. usually reducing by 10mgs a month then switch to 32mgs of subutex i know that this will take a long time perhaps 2 - 3 years bit doing it slowly increases by 4 fold your chance of remaining abstinence take it slow and let your body guide you and don't be pressured to go any faster than what makes you comfortable good luck and one last thing beware of synthetic methadone called Bio-done it is cheaper bit has a much shorter half life about 16 hours where the original methadone is about 36 hours so you really only need to dose once a day if your forced to use bio-done or phyceptone tablets insist on BD dosing. I'm not sure if your allowed take away doses in the US in OZ tour allows 4 take away doses a week after 3 months with clean urine then you only have to go to the pharmacy 3 days in 7.

I agree with everything you've said with the exception of the cost of suboxone vs subutex. I have been on both. Suboxone in the state of TN is $13.50 per strip without insurance vs $3.75 per tablet of Subutex w/o insurance. Otherwise everything you said is right. Whether you decide to go to an addiction specialist or to in-patient rehab, if you're not serious about stopping all drug and alcohol use you will end up in the same place but on another drug. Meetings, support, and the will to be sober is the only answer.

That incorrect. You can most definitely go on subutex for treatment. Subutex and suboxone are both partial opiates, because they have a ceiling affect which means you can't take more and more and feel high such as oxy's. I have been going to a methadone clinic for my subutex. Now i go to a private dr. Who prescribes it. You have to be withdrawing they said because you could go into full or worse withdrawals. It's worth calling around clinics and asking if they have it. This post was negative and you need positive help. I hope you will choose this. Dr. Kishore in melbourne prescribes it.

Ken, are you serious? Did you just complain about being "cut down" from 360 to 300 30mg Roxicets per month? Where do they do that at? If your pain is so severe that 300mgs of Roxicet every day doesn't "do the job", you need to call an addiction specialist now. I had a friend who was taking 16-32 mgs of Dilaudid every day, and I thought he was bad off. I'm not judging you for being addicted to the pills. I have also traveled that road; only it was more narrow. I took 200 mgs of Hydro every single day and I was always out of my mind. I am worried about you. I realize your reply to this post is an old one, but I do hope that you're still alive and with us today!

You wont die from them. But you get to feeling this from them every now and again. At least you know how many milligrams your taking a day most. Who are addicted type 2, which is know as a silent addict on the street, where you only do every once in a while but.once you start cant stop until your body pass out. Those people, myself once included. Do not usually remember how much they took or even had the chance to know what they took so they dont even know it was pain killers, or advil, or even coke.

You need a SUBOXONE doctor and not a SUBUTEX doctor! If you really want the help and not for abuse then! First of all you need something with a blocker in it so when you get the urges to use you won't go seeking it out! Naloxone inhibts any euphoric high that your seeking it out let alone were addicts, in which you can or may think when times get tough especially that you'll just use every once in a blue moon and let's face it were addicts we will think off how to get around things all the time and deff when life gets hard! Because not using our using life will have it rough times! Unless your pregnant your really not going to get tex unless you found a doc that will (lets just say there the mad money seekers) get around things for you! That's experience and just using the suboxone alone with out doing the harder foot work to help stay clean it will not work alone! I know brutally honest but it's so real I've watched a few hundred take that road!

I was once you............I just had to find people who had subutexand I cut them in quarters,....1 quarter lasted 3 days........u have to be strong and want it, u can't substitute ..........pray for strength and get something for your nerves........I'll pray for you.......:)

I was in exactly your situation 2 years ago, today i lead a normal life. 1st why subutex not suboxone? Find a Dr that will prescribe Viceptone (spelled wrong) It's methadone in a pill form and easier to tape. In the mean time get yourself some Lyrica (great for hot/cold sweats and general all over pain) get over the counter 15mg codine and take 12 a day also Imodium or other over the counter diarrhea medication contains a weak opiate, get some Valium on the st if you cant get a script take 20mg TDS. All this you can do for about 2 weeks max. But you need to get to a Dr that will taper you off opiates using methadone or if you have about 2000 bucks you could do a rapid detox. Your hooked up to heart monitoring equipment etc given a drug like midazalam or propafol (like when your having a colonoscopy/endoscopy etc. Your then given a drug that wipes the opiate receptors in your brain clean the drugs are naloxone or naltrexone. But a word of extreme caution you are going through a honorific withdrawal and people have died during the procedure and is banned in some states and counties. And after its like you have never used an opiate because you have NO tolerance at all to any opiate, many people have died this way you can opt to have a naloxone pellet placed subcutaneous in your arm that lasts a year. It worked great for me and my partner filmed the detox that took about 3 hours ill share it with you if your serious about saving your life. but remember if your abusing subutex you will die. {edited for privacy}. Don't die your life is a precious gift.

Ron did U say 750 mg of methadone my dog I take 90 mg and going to quit and all I hear about is how sick that i am going to be.I hope U make it getting off of i because it is the devil i gained about 75 pounds in no time and looked like a blimp .I was not the only 1 that it has done this 2 around where I live in Pike County Kentucky all kinds of my friends have quit dope with the M done and made them gain a lot of weight to.My drug consultant at the clinic says i should come down 1 mg a month.I would be coming off the medicine for ever that way my brother quit M done and went to suboxone and found subutex and now he is better than he has been in years.So I pray for both of us that we win the war of methadone i want to stop dose,n the done and start the text.Really hope you accomplish your goal to get better.

Can u plz tell me where to find a subutex doctor bc my boyfriend needs to find a subutex not suboxone bc he cant tolerate the suboxone idk whats in it but hes been finding subutex off the street for over a year now and were dealing with cps so hes got to get into a doctor somewhere and we cant find one anywhere, we can drive to columbus or anywhere just someone please help me so my family can be back together!!

Every person who thinks naloxone\narcan is the blocker is under educated on the matter. I mean damn read about the f***ing Dru people!!!!! It pisses me off to no end. bupe itself is the blocker end of story. I've used every version of the drug and I by no means condone that whatsoever and was at an idiotic time in my life. You cannot do other opiates before or after either versions as well.

many of these post responses are full of misinformation,generic bupe is no different than the orange stuff except that it does not have naloxone in it,if any one knows anything about this chemical you know that it was added to extend a patent on the brand "suboxone"it don't block anything because the bupe has a much stronger affinity for the opioid receptors in the body,and yes naloxone is nothing but pure posion,I almost died from it,I broke out into hives from head to toe and my throat swelled up and I nearly suffocated to death,generic bupe don't get you any more or less "higher" than suboxone,it does not even have any type of seditave or euphoric effect beyond the first few days of taking it,after that it's the worlds best anti-deppresant and yes will keep you off the dope and pain killers because you won't be thinking about the s*** anymore,I've been taking generic bupe or subutex for about 5 years,it does what it's intended to do. anybody that starts taking this stuff recreationally is an i****, sorry to be mean but the withdrawals from the long half life are unbearable, you've been warned but doubt anyone will listen

Hey Ryleigh I'm not trying to be judge mental but your saying you take suboxone and then other painkillers such as oxy's on the same day? Do you hear yourself? The naloxone in the suboxone and your painkiller of choice is MOST DEFINITELY the reason why it's ineffective as far as curbing your cravings. You are just going to stay sick all the time and broke. I seriously want to help you. If you really want to stop throwing your money away and do this legit then do not take ANY opioids/painkillers for at least 24 hours you need to feel like your starting to withdraw before you take suboxone. The way you are taking it isn't going to benefit you at all,now if I'm wasting my time just stop me because it sounds like your just wanting subutex for motivation/energy/buzz at day then party with whatever pill you want all night. You think it's gonna be all good then huh? If that's your plan then imagine not making a bowel movement for 2 weeks and how much fun it will be when u finally do go number 2... Lol joking aside I would like to help but I'm pretty sure where your headed with what info u have provided so far

Hey querty, how did you almost die from it? I know I need to read up on naloxone a bit more myself I thought it was the blocker. Like if you were to try and abuse it (suboxone) the naloxone would attach to the receptors instead of the bupe correct? I'm not sure but I do know bupe effect ppl in different ways. As for me I'm on zubsolv and it just makes me feel normal.

I used to get baaaad headaches when I was on suboxone and didn't mind since the pros outweighed the cons. Now if I was on subutex I know I would have abused the hell out of it and no telling what kind of drug cocktails I would have taken until I overdosed. That stuff is hard to get for a reason. I'm currently taking zubsolv and never experienced any side effects besides the expected constipation lol. It's cheaper and might be a better match for your situation

I am prescribed subutex rather than suboxone. The main reason for my doctor doing so was because of the naloxone. I found out I am allergic to naloxone about 6 months ago. The price comparison of the two drugs is another major issue. Subutex is $400 cheaper for me because I have no insurance. Also, I was already taking the subutex when I finally got in to see him. I have been honest with my doctor from the beginning. I pass my drug panels and don't have any other scripts filled. Those three things go a very LONG way in the suboxone program. If you need the subutex for the reasons I mentioned above, be open and honest with your doctor; but if you are wanting subutex to abuse it, beware! Your doctor will find out, and he/she will cut you out of the program in a heartbeat!
