I took morphine twice a day for a week, that is percsribed to be taken every 12 hours. i took 2-3 a day for a week. how long will this be in my system?

So, this is not going to be meant to be mean at all, only for the fact that you didn't really say anything offensive or malicious, but just so that there is a voice out there on the subject, I'm going to play devils advocate here for a minute. In case anyone actually cares... I totally understand why everyone on these kind of threads writes the very prompt and immediate fact that they are prescribed all their meds, and have chronic pain, and anything else in that vain. That's fine, I get it, you have the write to say it, and you feel it's important. That's fine. Really though, its not important, because no one here knows you, and probably never will. So who gives a f*** is someone decides to judge you? Either way though, you care enough to clarify the fact that you are prescribed them. You don't want to feel judged. No one does. So how do you think the people who are not using drugs for pain management feel when you make sure everyone knows that you are not one of those "junkies" that they know they are? You are judging them just like you don't want to be judged yourself. Not every person physically addicted to opiates, doesn't have a prescription that lead to it. Not every person physically addicted and has no prescription, didn't have one and lost it, and maybe never had one, but self medicated for pain management. Maybe someone just took to many for to long and regrets ever starting, but in in a corner no less. Maybe they just want to do a ton of drugs and stay f***ed up for their whole life, but doesn't effect anyone's life negatively in any way and is a happier person for it. So are all those people junkies? Or is there just a certain type of drug user that you feel you have the right to look down on for having the same horrible disease and symptoms that you do? I know it's easy to forget. I know it's hard to think of everyone feelings and all that might hurt someone's. I know society has put in your and everyone else's brain that there are certain people that certain people are just better than, and therefore are fair game. Just please try and remember that this is a real and horrible disease that are effecting more people than you probably realize, and they are most likely having an extremely hard time right now, and have no one to turn to for help, and will read things like that and only have the word junkie pounding them in their brains for days and days, and will kill themselves all the same as when a gay person will for feeling like a "fag." No one deserves a derogatory name to haunt them. I'm an ex heroin addict, and have been happily been with my loving husband since I was 17 for seven years, and have two beautiful healthy and amazing children together. He was also an addict and we fought together for our lives and our family for half of our marriage and are so much stronger for it. Unfortunately my family has this sad way of thinking and even though my husband ran a barbershop, I was a 24/7 mom and part time receptionist, we had a loving and nurturing home and the most amazing bond with our children and never once had a bad comment on our parenting. When they found out that we messed up and needed to take a very small amount of drugs to maintain and stay well. Where are children never saw, or had any chance of seeing or getting into of course. They immediately told cps that were hard core junkies who never fed or bathed our children, had dirty diapers when they saw them. Fell out while caring for them and physically harming them for no reason. And it took us a year to fight them and get our children back. We were told that they made a mistake and my family obviously lied we were amazing parents who have one of the strongest bonds with our kids that they have seen, and shouldn't have been put through this. We still though. It was horrible, painful, heartbreaking, and hurt my children more than I can bare. We need to chance the thought of addiction. It hurts lives how people think of it, just as much as it hurts lives itself.

Normally just a few days but I had a urine test today and morphine was detected.. the last time I used morphine was 2 weeks ago so I was shocked. I only took a few pills for a few days..I've been tested before and oxycodone is usually out of system in 3-4 days depending on how much you take, weight, stuff like that.. I don't know why the morphine stayed in my system so long. Anyone ever have this happen?

Yes I want to cry I am being switched to subs but til my test comes back clean for morphine my pain doctor can't give it he says it will throw me into withdrawal. He gave be Subutex without the oppiate blocker. I swear I haven't taken any morphine in 6 days but my levels were only down a little from my test when I was actually taking morphine. I am being given 4 more days and they said drink tons of water. I'm scared to death if it's not out in 4 days they won't believe I'm not taking the morphine and will drop me. I want to cry because the subutex is working well for me and I do not want to be kicked out of this place I'm sooooo upset. Everyone please pray for me that I can pass in 4 days. They had no clue why the morphine wasn't out of my system. I'm just so scared. Anyone have any advice how to get the morphine out fast? I know water but anything else that will help?

Wrong. Hydrcodone is vicodin. This is for pain and is not a benzo but an opiate. If someone getting it for their bp, they need new dr.

That's misinformation. They are 2 different molecules, therefore they have a different half life.

I don't use any presciption drugs. I do have arthritic knee pain and a neighbor gave me a teaspoon of cough syrup type morphine. I have a drug screen on Monday or Tuesday, will anything show up including hair? I took the syrup Thursday night

Actually morphine syrup is not used for cough. MORPHINE-LIKE drugs such as hycodan, tussionex and many others contain resins of hydrocodone bitartrate an opioid class cough syrup. If you are given a hair follicle test on Tuesday there's A VERY GOOD CHANCE YOU WILL TEST POSITIVE FOR THIS COMPOUND. Hope that helps and best of luck.

Will 60 mg morphine show up in saliva test. Took 2 Friday Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday had a test at doctors. I'm 33 140 lb. should I be fine.

I took about 3-4, 15 mg morphines a day for about 5 days. How long will it take to get out of my system. It's been 3 days since I had any and I've been drinking water like crazy and pooping like no tomorrow!

Hydrocodone is vicodin not morphine, and morphine is a narcotic anything that ends in pam clonazepam diazapam is anti anxiety, any nerve pain meds are usually not a scheduled substance theyay label it as can cause dependence in some patients
