How Long Do Opiates Stay In Your Blood System (Top voted first)

I am getting a blood drug test and have taken perc 30s almost every day. I am wondering how long that are in your bloodstream for and when to stop.

Chase, I believe anyone asking questions is in a way of reaching out which is a start in the right direction. As for anxiety it very real and genetic. I lost my 17 yr old son last and due to his age no doctor would help, he was born with it. So he bought xanax on the street's and he was due to have surgery for a shuttered wrist so of coarse doctors gave him percs. I found him dead the morning of his surgery. The combo killed him, and I had no idea he taken xanax, I was so careful monitoring his pain meds. Xanax can stop breathing at anytime. The lesser of all evils for anxiety is klonapin or non narcotics is buesbar.

Actually, for a blood test, the Oxycodone in Percocet is only detectable for approximately 6 hours, after last dosing.

The time frame of up to 5 days would be for a urine test.

And in regards to either one, the exact time frame will vary from person to person, depending on your metabolism, overall health, activity levels and etc.

My doctor ordered everyone a blood test, it's like a new policy there now... Today was the day I visited and I have until the 11th to get my results back to my doctor.. Anywho, I take opiates every now and then and marijuana too. I can't have a dirty blood test because then I'll most likely loose my anxiety medication that my doctor prescribes and that cannot happen, I definitely need my anxiety meds..... My question is when should I stop taking everything besides what I'm prescribed to in order to have a clean blood test. Also, I've heard numerous rumors, i dont know what to believe, but does suboxone or subutex show up in the tests? I've heard they do and I've heard they don't?

I take percocet 5/325. 4× daily. They do urine drug testing. I drink a lot of water. I mean I go thru 7 if not more cases of water a month. I have chronic dry mouth. I have a drink w/me @ all times. Question is can this dilute my drug screen & causing it to show that none is in my system? I'm being attacked by my Dr.saying I'm not taking them. I need to have a 3rd back operation. Have chronic pain. So tired of fighting w/drs just to have some relief. They have seen my MRIs. Need fusions. Any help would be grateful. Thanks.

Of course suboxone will show up in a ua test if they have it on the panel... usually under the heading of bup... yes I do know as I give the tests myself... if someone is on suboxone and I write in Bup it will deff show if they are taking it...

Seriously. People judge out of ignorance. I have PTSD and medicated myself with the legal drug alcohol. Until it almost killed me. So while being 5150'd I got a diagnosis. Finally. I need my medication. I was also in a very bad motorcycle accident in August. So there are times I can't walk or function from the pain. I have a roommate that has a script for percocet. I take it when I need it so I can go to work and make a living. I too am going to a new Dr through Covered California. I am on this thread to learn how my opiate use is going to effect me. Because I can't lose my script for my anxiety. I don't wish anyone harm but seriously. Don't speak of things you know nothing about.

It is doubtful that no opiates would show up in a drug screen just because you drink lots of water. 20 mg of Oxycodone per day is a small amount. It's because the doctors are being a**holes now because there is so much abuse they don't want to give meds to people who actually need them!

I suffer from extreme pain polyneuropathy started 17 years ago. I know if I could do the physical training to be a navy seal the pain and sociological parts wouldn't phase me. I have been taking opiates for 2 years now before that I had to ignore the pain even after taking tramadols, gabapentin, amitriptyline, and aleeve worked up to a point. The DEA thinks tramadols can get a person high. These tests are meant to catch people taking meds they are not suppose to, its total bulls*** we the people allow a government to dictate to us the people what we can or can not take for pain, anxiety, or recreationally. The founding fathers would not put up with this tyranny.

How dare you criticize anyone! Have you ever drank, smoked dope, or taken some kind of medication prescribed? Well I bet you lied just to get those huh? My wife and I both suffer from anxiety and it is HELL! How in the f*** do you know they do not need medicine? Get off your high horse and put yourself in someone else's shoes for once! P.S. Depending on how bad your pain, that's not a very large dose. Before my back fusion I was taking a total of 60 mg Percoset/day (I think). Then it was upped to Oxycontin, again about 60/d. Somebody told me yesterday that Percoset (maybe Oxy too) has the ability to make your brain feel like you're still in pain after you don't need it. I don't know about that. Could just be how an uninformed person tried to understand her nephew's 7 hr problem before an OD.
