Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, it is an oral antidiabetic agent, used to help lower or control blood sugar.

It is not known to cause hemorrhoids. Has she consulted her doctor?

It is difficult to say how any medication will affect any individual and thus, it may or may not be related.

It could also be due to dietary changes, if she's had to adjust what she eats, due to being diabetic. If she's been constipated, at all, and straining to have bowels movements, that may be contributing to the problem.
