[country of origin for] METFORMIN HCL 500MG tablet SOLCO 43547 0248 50

What is the country of origin for METFORMIN HCL 500MG tablet SOLCO 43547-0248-50? Is it approved by American standards of manufacturing? My pharmacy, in the last year, no longer has Metformin HCL in its warehouse - too expensive, I understand. Therefore I am unable to get my prescription filled there. My problem is that I cannot - literally - stomach any other manufacturer's inactive ingredients. The diarrhea is continuous - all day long, and into the night. I'm drinking as much water as I can to prevent dehydration, but it comes out as fast as I can get it in. My pharmacy seems not to care whether or not I get the SOLCO manufactured medicine. They are going to begin using THEIR medicine of choice, regardless of what it does to my intestinal tract. Their attitude is: "SO WHA...

New Metformin Patient
Post a Reply
I just started Metformin HCL ER 500 MG tablets this week. I have been taking one a day for this week and then will start taking two a day. I have been diagnosed with Hyperinsulinemia. I have been tired for going on 2 years now and have been begging someone to figure out why. I know it has only been a few days so I'm not expecting a miracle right away but just wondering how long it might take for me to start feeling a little better? I decided on my own to begin with one a day for a week and build up to 2 a day after reading many articles that it can be hard on your stomach. I am just so tired of being tired all the time!

Metformin HCI + Glimepiride

My dad has been taking tablets that are a combination of Glimepiride + Metformin HCI. Is it possible that he shift to taking just Metformin HCI (of the same dosage)? or is it also possible that the two substances: Glimepiride and Metformin HCI be taken separately (one pill for Glimepiride and another pill for Metformin HCI)? ## I take them separate 1000 mg Metformin twice a day and Glimepiride 2mg before meals.

Metformin not being digested
2 Replies RSS
I take Metformin 500 mg twice a day.Recently I have noticed that the pills are in my stool not digested.I have noticed my glucoses are not stable. What could be causing this and does anyone else experience this. ## Hello, Linda! How are you doing? Are there any markings on the tablets that you're taking? Are they by chance time released ones? If so, then what you are seeing in your stool is just the outer shell. It isn't intended to be digested, but the medication is released and used by your body. The FDA lists this as an oral antidiabetic medication and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. What have your numbers been? ## The writing on my 500 mg. tablets is IP 178 are these the time released ones?

In what country is SOLCO Metformin made? ## Solco Healthcare is a U.S. based company that is FDA approved. Have you had some problem with this product? Since Publix changed to this manufacturer I noticed this med has a bad rotten odor to them . . . disgusting. I also noticed that since taking them, my body is reacting more -- with nausea, loose bowels and stomach cramping. How is this medication different from the one Publix was previously dispensing? my mother has been prescribed Glycomet 500 mg. But after she has started the medicine, she is experiencing problem of Piles. Is this problem related to glycomet ## Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, it is an oral antidiabetic agent, used to help lower or control blood sugar. It is not known to cause hemorrhoids. Has she consulted her doctor? It is difficult to say how any medication will affect any individual and thus, it may or may not be related. It could also be due to dietary changes, if she's had to adjust what she eats, due to being diabetic. If she's been constipated, at all, and straining to have bowels movements, that may be contributing to the problem. ## effects of glycomet on pregnancy ## i was given glycomet 500mg but soon problem started wth me that...

I have some white oblong white tablets scored on one side and printed M525 on the other. I believe these are Ascend Labs Metformin HCL ER 500 mg tablets from a couple of months ago that I didnt finish up when I got my refill prescription. They also could be a different brand that the pharmacy used to fill my prescription. ## These tablets are manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 120mgs of Diltiazem. The FDA classifies this medication as a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
