I have been in Pain management since 2004 in California and just Moved out there to muskogee Oklahoma... unfortunately there are NO doctors here willing to treat my pain i was on a regiment of 80mg Oxycontin 2X daily 10/325mg Norcos every 4 hours and 4mg IV dilaudid as needed for breakthrough pain... i am in search of a doctor out this way who is actualluy willing to perscribe these meds... thanks

I too had problems with Dr. Jenkins. I followed the rules to the tee but wasnt good enough I guess. I have been trying to see another PM but it is taking forever. I have found that he was charging my insurance crazy amounts of money and sending lab outside of network. If anyone knows of PM around OKC I would be so grateful. I was taken Opana and lortab.

i've been to a few in, thought maybe we could trade names and info about them with eachother. I'm trying to find a decent one at least now, before too much time passes from the last time i was prescribed-ya know. get back to me if you can. thanks

Everyone,
It is becoming more and more trouble finding doctors, even in your areas, that will continue your strong medications, or even remain with you. I had two primary doctors, one of 13 years and one of 1 year, both suddenly disappearing. My last primary had gotten me off of 300 mgs/day of morphine, giving me a butrans patch and when the insurance wouldn't cover it, she started me on buprenorphine. I was off the morphine for four months. But then she disappeared, without anyone telling me, and the head doctor cancelled my three remaining refills of buprenorphine, again without telling me. So, when I called my pharmacist, with only two pills left, that's when I found out. So, I talked to the head of the clinic, who decided, without seeing me, that I need to have the morphine again, 180 mgs/day, then being weaned off of it, again. Then she decided to send me to a man doctor, who looked at me, for the first time, as if I was a drug addict. He wouldn't listen to me about my 12 other doctors' diagnoses and said he had read my history. He said my blood results came back negative for ANA, which I hadn't had any blood work in two years, so he lied. Also, if he read other doctor's websites, such as WebMD and the Mayo Clinic's sites, he would know that not all blood samples come out positive for ANA, but that doesn't mean a patient isn't sick. He gave me, yet another script for morphine, just shortly after the other doctor gave me! Then, he said when he weans me off it, remember, I was off of it, for four months, I was just to take over the counter pain pills, as there is nothing wrong with me. This jerk didn't bother to exam me, run diagnostics and watched the clock, dismissing me after only five minutes!

So, I searched all over the Internet, after calling a couple of other doctors, only to be shown the door, because I am a chronic pain patient. I found the DEA is doing a "War on Drugs," not only for the cartels, smugglers and addicts, but they are now oppressing doctors, putting them in jail and loosing their licenses, honest doctors, plus the pharmacies and honest manufacturers. Everyone, on this site and other chronic pain sites, are now in the same boat we all are, losing our doctors, not getting the only help we need, and worse. Our lives are ruined by our pain and suffering, yet, the DEA and other government officials have decided they know everything medically and judge us.
So, please, everyone who reads this, I made a petition, on a site where you can go and read and sign it. It is about Chronic Pain Patients being Judged and not being believed loosing the only relief we can get, our medications. It pretty much covers our sufferings.

Please, go there and sign it. If all of our voices get heard, they will realize their wrong doing and help us, again. We need to be treated as humanely as the animals are. We are citizens too, with the right for "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness," too. That means we have the right to not suffer because of non-suffering people, judging us. When you call Dr's office ask what kind of pain treatment they do. Plus what all you need to turn in. Please stay away from Dr. Weaver he has billboards all around Muskogee. He cuts meds way down then holds them over your head till you agree to have electronic stimulaters inside you. My body rejected had to threaten to take them out.

Could you tell me of a PM doctor who will prescribe me some medication even though methamphetamine came up on a U/A and I was dismissed from my last PM doctor? I have NO CLUE how methamphetamine came up other than someone sabotaging me by spiking my drink or something..But I have a legitimate need for pain meds. And the DEA has doctors scared to death to give someone some damned medication..

I read hat you know a good pain doctor in okc can you point me in the right direction. I had back surgery last may from a head on collision and I'm to the point I can barely walk again from the pain. Thanks

You can look for doctors but I'm not sure they will prescribe the medication you want unless your condition is serious.

Can you give me information too? I have been under a doctor's care for about 4 years. He recently retired and I know what medications work for me, but not sure which doctors prescribe the medication I need. I'm 47 years old, had an accident 4 years ago. Any help would be appreciated.

came across your correspondence about a pain med doctor in oklahoma, i am looking for one as well and was wondering if you could help. I am new to this area. I don't have the money to spend going from dr to dr and just want to find a dr that will prescribe me my nedication, i do have records and documentation stating my injuries. Thanks for any help.

Need pain meds for arthritis and also had carpal tunnle surgery in both hands, did no good on right arm but left is ok. Pain is all over elbow and shoulder, my arthritis pain is both legs all the way to my feet and now have a bakers cyst behind right knee, I really need relief and can anyone help? Thank you.

Please send me the name of your pain management dr., Im ready 2 just give up, i cant take my life falling apart because im in to much pain 2 do what i should or need to. i actually can manage my pain with 2 at the most 3 lortab 10s a day. i dont need all the stronger stuff.
