I have been in Pain management since 2004 in California and just Moved out there to muskogee Oklahoma... unfortunately there are NO doctors here willing to treat my pain i was on a regiment of 80mg Oxycontin 2X daily 10/325mg Norcos every 4 hours and 4mg IV dilaudid as needed for breakthrough pain... i am in search of a doctor out this way who is actualluy willing to perscribe these meds... thanks

I understand y'all's pain. 8 years of hip surgeries and every thing that goes with it. If you can find a doc that will do that. WARNING do not go to a pain med clinic. They have everything very legalistic. They had me strung so bad that my kidneys were almost completely shutdown, and my digestion system including my stomach had already shut down. Ofcourse they just piled on more meds. My last appointment I was unable to give a UA because of kidneys. They offered to catherise me but I am so scarred up from so many surgeries I was unable to do that. So they straight dropped me. No instructions, no compassion no nothing. Laughably they said see you in a month. Ya right, by then I would be either off all pain meds or dead from seizures resulting from extreme withdrawals. I was on some heavy meds. But thank god my wife kept alive and safe. On my third week now still dealing with withdrawals. This has happened several times, just not this bad. I had very bad seizures but once again I made. I ask them why no instructions on how to deal with the WDS and no advice, not even a if this happens go to the er. I asked why later and they yelled at me over the phone that all that And more was in the contract that I signed annishally. Of course I was on meds and in blinding pain when I signed it, but alas thatakes no difference. Now that I have lost 45 pounds and am still loosing, and also stomach so bad I get to live off of ensure only now. I have been treated so bad in er's and the clinic that I have actually formed a literally paralyzing phobia of at least this states medical racket. I am trying to find natural remedies from plants, teas, tree bark anything natural. Im done taking the mad scientist rat poison. This rat has busted thru the maze and is now a rouge thinker. My advice be extra vigilant reading any paper work you sign, even if you have to take it to an attorney. Or the actual best thing to do which I'm working on is get out of this state ASAP and head west. The best I've found from personal experience is California and Washington state. Good luck to you guys I feel ya. My pain now gets so bad that I either vomit or pass out. Keep fighting And God bless you all.

I live in Claremore, Ok I have degenerative disc disease, coupe of bulging disc, a herniated disc, arthritis in my back and fibro. I also had surgery on both my knees and one of them still bothers me. I was on 30mg of oxycodone and my Dr. retired. I need a new Dr. that will subscribe my oxycodone to me. Please help I am in so much pain I am practically bed ridden. I have called a lot of Dr.'s that say I need a Dr.'s referral and I can't get that since my Dr. retired. Does anyone know of a pain management Doctor who will accept new patients without trying to push surgery on me?

Forgot to add for 6 yrs I've been on 90 mg methadone a day, allowed 12 mg of dilaudid a day,4 mg of colonipin and 3 soma a day, if anyone can please direct me to a Dr. in okc or tulsa as my dr retired. Suffered necrotizing fasciitis and almost lost my left arm now I have chronic pain, severe R.A. anxiety. If someone could point me to a clinic or Dr. that will continue these meds. Help plz!!!!

Living in OKC and I am having a lot of abdominal pain and its not just in any one place. Sometimes it is on my right side and it radiates all the way down to my inner thigh. Went to ER 2 times in Jan because I thought I was having and appendicitis or something horribly wrong. No one has been able to diagnose problem. Currently on pain meds but 5-6 or more times a month the pain is no where near under control even though I take extra meds. I just lay in bed to keep all pressure off my entire abdomen, and hope I can fall asleep and the pain is usually only half as bad the next day. ER said everything was ok, nothing major wrong. However they never told me anything about diverticulitis. When I took my records to a Gastroenterologist, iread over my records and it said I had diverticulitis pockets forming all over my intestines but no infections had developed yet. This month alone I did everything I could to fight off going to ER where they give you heavy duty pain meds to help with the pain, then send you home w hydrocodone 5/500? Thanks a lot. You might as well hand me a 20 or 30 Tylenols.
