Large white oblong tablet with M in a square, on the other side is 1721 ## what is this pill with the m in a square and 1721 on the other side? I found one in my sons room and am trying to find out what it is. ## a white oblong pill with an M in a square and the numbers 1721 on the other side is a generic Darvocet or Darvon ## That is correct and I just want to add some updated information to this post. Darvocet is no longer available on the U.S. drug market and in most other countries, due to the fact that Propoxyphene and its relatives were found to cause dangerous cardiac risks and there were an inordinate number of overdose fatalities. Hello, I am 32 yrs old and have been on opana er 2 daily with an average of 5 vicoden daily for breakthrough pain management for 2 years now. I have the option of undergoing back surgery but no one is very optomistic that it will provide satisfactory pain relief. I am not big on taking pills but they do provide adequate relief. I am concerned about long term organ damage due to the medication since I have my whole life ahead of me. My grandfather was perscibed morphine for his cancer and experienced severe organ damage within a couple of years so I am concerned about taking drugs for rest of my life, especially since what I have read indicates that tolerances will build and doses will inevitably increase with time. Thanks everybody for your time, Ken. ## There is always the risk of orga...

Are these authentic vicoden ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? These tablets contain 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, they are actually a generic for Norco. Vicodin formulations contained higher amounts of acetaminophen and are no longer available. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Oval pinkish/ orange Viodin, number on it is 9096. is this Vicodin. I'm trying to find out what I'm taking !!!!

Been taking 7'5 mg generic vicoden every 4 hours but switch to k9 perc (30 mgs?) How much of the perc do i take for similar relief? Is the k9 time release and does it contain acetamenaphine? Don't want to feel high or weird, just same effect and pain relief Thanks ## Hello, Irish! How are you? The tablet with the K9 marking is not a Percocet or the generic equivalent. Percocet and its generics contain both Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and there are none available that contain 30mgs of either one. The tablet with the K9 marking contain 30mgs of Oxycodone, by itself, in a regular release formulation. It is actually stronger than the Vicodin you were taking. I am currently taking vicoden for knee replacement surgery...is there any OTC pain med to take that would be similar? Thank you! ## Not in the U.S. Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic and there are none available over the counter in the U.S. The strongest medications for pain that are available over the counter in the U.S. are the basic nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen. Have you tried discussing it with your doctor?

Found bottle of oblong white pills at friend's house who had prob with rx vicodin & percocets. (Seems to be clean for awhile) Smallish, white, oblong pills. Said she she got from hosp awhile ago when she was 'still using.' Not scored, and imprint scratched out on other side. !!! ## Vicodin usually isn't on the smallish side, because the amount of Acetaminophen in them tends to make them larger, once it's added to the Hydrocodone with the other binders and fillers. Learn more Vicodin details here. They are usually about the size of a large, oblong potent multivitamin, such as Centrum, give or take a slight fluctuation in size, but that should give you an idea. And if the imprint has been scratched off, then yes that is very suspicious. A hospital wouldn't be a...
