I am looking for a doctor who prescribes suboxone in the New Orleans, slidell Louisiana area. I am a single mom with no insurance, can't afford 350 a visit and prescription cost. My kids have medicaid but I don't. Thanks. ## Suboxone treatment is still pretty new, so I am not aware of any doctors that offer cheaper prices, because they do have to maintain special approval and monitoring to treat patients with it. Learn more Suboxone details here. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you might want to check into Methadone clinics in your area, as it is usually much cheaper, since it's been used for a very long time. In 21 days I went down from 165 to 30 mg a day. This past Wednesday I took my last 30 mg. I'm waiting for insurance approval to pay for my Suboxone. It's been 5 days and I feel like hell. Can I take a little Methadone (10 mg)? I will get my Suboxone tomorrow. I haven't slept 4 hours in the last 3 days. I'm feeling really bad. Any advice please? ## Hello, Rob! How are you? No, you must be in full withdrawal, before you take Suboxone, or it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I...

Can I take estrogen with suboxone and lisinopril? Also is it safe after a partial hystorectomy? I have had one ovary for ten years after my surgery but suffer with hot flashes and night sweats. ## Have they all been prescribed for you and are the prescribing doctors aware that you are taking them? Estrogen may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. It may also elevate your blood pressure, so should only be taken with your doctor's approval.

On the web I found a replacement drug for Oxycodone, but now I can not find it. Can anyone help me find this so I can get off the Oxycodone? ## Are you possibly referring to Suboxone? It contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, it is used to help treat addiction and enable people to eventually become drug free. The Buprenorphine is a narcotic, so it may cause the same side effects that others do, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. The Naloxone is an opiate agonist, to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while under Suboxone treatment. This medication does require a doctors approval and prescription, for treatment, because it must be used properly. Learn more:

## NEED TO KNOW USES, SIDE EFFECTS, DERIVATIVE OF ? ## I was doing a lot of searching around myself; Not too much out there on Saboxone. Then I stumbled across a document which made mention of the name along with other related chemicals: Saboxone (pending FDA approval) - Naloxone (antagonist) - Buprenorphine (partial agonist) - Tx of heroin addiction (more efficacious than methadone???) These drugs are for the treatment of opiate related addictions such as Hydrocodone, Herion, etc. Found an article on Buprenorphine at www.drugabuse.gov/NIDA_Notes/NNVol10N1/Bupren.html. Hope this helps... ## Please see the drug SUBOXONE for more information. Thank You! ## I want to get a prescription online, and dont know who would give me one? ## I erroneously clicked abuse next to Susan Ellis's nam...

I take subutex for opiate addiction but I'm still in chronic pain. Will oxymorphone be blocked by buprenorphine in subutex like it blocks other full opiate agonists? ## Hello, Robin! How are you? No, it isn't the Buprenorphine that blocks anything. I believe you're actually thinking of Suboxone, which contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, it is the Naloxone that blocks other opiates, not the Buprenorphine. Subutex doesn't contain the Naloxone, so it doesn't block them. Oxymorphone is also a very potent narcotic, so you shouldn't take it, without your doctor's approval and supervision. If you're being treated for addiction, it may also be against the rules of your treatment contract. Is there anything else I can help with? *These medications carry the risk ...
