Percocet 10 325 The Same As

Can someone please tell me if one of the 5mg oxycodones without Tylenol is equal to a percocet 10mg? Is it stronger or weaker and would it only take one to equal the equivalent of a perk 10 or 2 of the oxycodone 5mg ## Hi Julie, To answer your question, 5mgs of Oxycodone quite simply does NOT equate to 10mgs of Oxycodone + 325mgs of Tylenol found in Percocet. Usually when people abbreviate the term "perk 10" this means that it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and nothing less. So even without the Tylenol it would still be stronger than 5mgs of the same substance. I hope this makes sense! ## Simple math here....5<10 same active ingredient.

My prescription called for 10/325 and I have for the pass 15 years been taking Watson 932. Now I have a yellow tablet by Alvogen, Inc. with a strength 325/10. Is there a difference? It doesnt have APAP in the description. Please help me. ASAP - I feel something is wrong. ## Hi, Babydoll! I understand your confusion, but it is the same medication. The new one you've received has just been manufactured by a different company. The 325 still designates the APAP in it, which is just medical speak for Acetaminophen and the 10 stands for the amount of Oxycodone, this is a generic for Percocet. Learn more Percocet details here. I have been taking Percocet 10/325 for years. Recently, I had to get it filled at Target and it's made by Alvogen. Normally, I fill my scripts at Walmart but they were out. I have developed welts and they started the same time I switched to this brand. Is it possible to be allergic to one of the inactive ingredients that is not in the Watson brand from Walmart? ## Hi, Chris! Sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, it is possible to be allergic to an inactive ingredient. They are considered inactive because they don't have a medial/biological effect on most people, but it is well known that some people react to some of the dyes used, some gluten based substances, as well as others. Are this the same class meds? Same family? ## Yes, they both contain the narcotic Oxycodone. The difference is that the Percocet combines it with Acetaminophen, in the dose you mentioned it's 10mgs with 325mgs of Acetaminophen and it's a regular release formulation, while the Oxycontin contains 40mgs of Oxycodone, by itself, in a 12 hour time released formulation. They both can cause the same side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?

When I take these pills that I get from the pharmacy, the yellow ones they make me violently I'll like throwing up, about to faint and plus they don't get rid of the pain, it makes it worse it's unbareble. The only ones I can take is the white oblong with the symbol 10/325 my 23rd why is that an why does the yellow one make me throw up and get sicker. What do I need to tell my doctor. ## There are different fillers and binders in generics. Based on what you've said here, there seems to be something in the yellow, round, oxycodone 10 mg/acetaminophen 325 mg that you are allergic to. It appears that the same ingredients are not in the white, oblong, oxycodone 10 mg/acetaminophen 325 mg. You may want to talk to your pharmacist and ask them if they can make a note on your pr...

I was taking an oblong white Percocet 10/325, my pharmacy has changed to a round white 10/325 pill which is to me much stronger. Can there be such a difference in the same prescription but different manufacturers? With the round pill I feel tired and checked out. The other pill I didn't seem to have any effect unless I took my klonopin at the same time. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 the FDA allows the generics to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus, or minus 20%. Thus, it is possible that one may be stronger than another, since generic manufacturers don't have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects,...

Been on 10/325 yellow percocet. I refill at Safeway. They gave me ip 204. What is the difference? I don't get the same relief from the IP 204. They said that is what Safeway is going with. I am stuck with these pills. What can I do? ## Hi doris, IP 204 is a generic form of percocet, made by Amneal Pharma. It also contains a dosage of 10/325 mg. If there are any notable differences between this and the yellow version you're used to taking, I'd say it would probably be found in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers)... No yellow dye for example. Just for the record here is a list of inactive ingredients found in the IP 204 pill: silicon dioxide + crospovidone + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + corn starch + stearic acid There's also ...

If I find out that the supposed oxycodone I am taking is anything other than what it should be, I will be contacting a money hungry attorney for I shall be extremely wealthy. ## I have the same issue with RP 10/325 - I went into withdrawals and took the Med back to Walmart pharmacy and the pharmacist said he's "had no other complaints and couldn't do anything for me". I now have Activas A 333 and they are taking awhile to kick in and I am just praying these awful feelings go away. Please let me know if you found out anything. ## Have either of you considered getting the tablet's contents analyzed by a lab in order to determine how much oxycodone/acetaminophen is really in there v.s. what they put on the label? Hello all, First off I'm new to posting here and I must admit this is probably a topic that is quite frequent and I have done days searching but can't seem to really find any info on my specific situation. I apologize in advance for the long post but I will introduce myself and situation. I've been on oxycodone 10/325 for a little over a year now from a botched foot surgery and diabetic neuropathy in this same foot. It helps tremendously and seems to be the only relief I can get is from taking these. Whether its first thing in the morning to be able to stand up and get moving or whether it's to let me settle down and drift off to sleep which is something fairly hard to do. I also was recently diagnosed with PTSD from my job and I am currently out of work for this. It is ...

Just wanted to know which one is stronger and by how much? Thanks, ## Hello, Dale! How are you? Technically, neither. However, for some people that Acetaminophen in Percocet can augment the action of the Oxycodone, so it may be more effective and could be the same as them taking 12 or 13mgs of the Oxycodone. But, it doesn't work that way for everyone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. White round with RP 10 325 imprinted on it - Is this a percocet? ## @Ricky, I've seen a white round pill with R P 30 listed as Oxycodone 30mgs. However the "10/325" (if it is confirmed to be part of the imprint on your pill) would generally signify the presence of Acetaminophen along with 10mgs of either Hydrocodone or Oxycodone; but this remains to be verified. Now the RP imprint I know stands for "Rhodes Pharmaceuticals", so one thing you could do is contact them directly for more specific details on the tablet description/identity. Their main phone number is listed as (401) 262-9200; or you can also try reaching customer service at 888-827-0616. I hope this helps! ## I have round white pill with RP 10 on it. Can you take a Westward 325 and Percocet 10 at the same time? ## Hi Gabby, I was unable to identify the "westward 325" pill you mentioned. Is it a generic Vicodin with 325mgs of Acetaminophen? If so, I wouldn't recommend taking Percocet (Oxycodone) with Hydrocodone, just because of the additive effect and not knowing how "your" body is going to react to it. Some people may take them together no problem, depending on the dosages; so I would assess your tolerance levels before taking a full dose together, if that is in fact Hydrocodone you're referring to... I hope this helps!

I've been on oxycodone 10mg for several years. My pain management doc has been reducing my prescription by 5 pills each month to get me down to just 120 per month. Next month I will be at the 120 mark. I've been complaining as that 1 less per day makes a difference in managing my pain daily. A few months ago my pharmacy switched their supplier and the new pills won't cut. They literally shatter on one side leaving me about 3/4 of a pill & crumbs. So now my doctor is suggesting I go on Percocet 10/325mg. I know the 325 is acetaminophen. But what is the difference between Oxy & Percocet? I'm not a fan of taking that much acetaminophen daily without an end in sight. Is the Percocet 10/325mg is stronger than Oxy 10mg? The same? Unless it's stronger, I don't k...

I got my script at a different pharmacy and they look different - are they the same? I normally get oval A333. The new ones are oval also but have 4829 V. Is there a difference between the two? ## 4829 on one side and V on the other is Oxycodone 10 mg + Acetaminophen 325 mg. These are manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. ## Yes they are the same. Percocets come in all different shapes and sizes,so do not worry about it! ## Please pleeeease, tell me which pharmacy to go to? I am looking for qualitest oxycodone 10mg + acetaminophen 325mg. I am taking the percocet 512 white tablets 5mg/325 for severe back pain due to degenerating disc(s). I have been told 1 pill every 8 hours, but find the pain so excruciating after about 5 hours that I cannot even stand... even to use the bathroom or shower. My MD cannot get me into a specialist until August, but I am having real stress here. I've been taking Norco 10/3.25 for years for severe chronic pain--It's now no longer effective at all--I'm wondering about changing to Percocet 10/3.25 and whether this would be a stronger, more effective and longer lasting med to take--I've tried also Oxy.10 mg. hcl and they work so so and notice I need to take way more often than I ever did with Norco. I don't want to go this route at all!! I'm hoping the Percocet would change all this. Does it? ## I personally was in the same situation as you and I changed from Norco to percocet 10 325. Hi, this is the first time I have been given the A333 oxycodone 10 -325. Normally I get the Watson 10 - 325 which has always been a decent generic brand. The Watsons 10 -325 are manufactured in the U.S.A. but I am not sure where the A333 are made or if they are equivalent to the Watsons. If you can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated.
