doxofylline drug is siutable for makinf fast dissoving tablet. ## Doxofylline is an antitussive and bronchodilator. As to whether or not it can be made into a fast dissolving tablet, I do not know. I have no idea what the criteria is for doing so. Some medications are able to be formulated that way and some aren't. Some can even be dangerous if absorbed too fast. Does anyone else know anything about this?

is doxolin 400 specifically for COPD?? And is COPD treatable?? I have continous coughs during summer??? doctors say that it is allergic reaction but i did some online research..n i think it is copd...pls Reply as soon as possible..I am afraid...thank you ## You really should follow your doctor's advice to get the best results, they would be able to run tests to know if you have COPD, or if something else is causing the problem. It is highly possible that allergies could be causing your symptoms and it isn't safe for you to try to self-diagnose and self-treat. If you disagree with your doctor, then you should get a another opinion from another medical professional. As to COPD, yes it is treatable, but not curable. And the Doxolin contains Doxofylline, which is most commonly used ...

kindly tell me that whether doxophyline increses the pulse rate and BLOOD pressure. thank u, Baldev kumar ## Doxofylline is basically a xanthine derivative like theophylline. All xanthine derivatives have the effect on heart rate and pulse rate because of their affinity towards adenosine receptors (A1 & A2 receptors, which are present in heart to regulate the oxygen demand, in brain involve in hormone secretions, in skin, also in some other parts of body.) When these receptors are stimulated they effect on heart rate and increase the blood pressure and palpitation. Doxofylline is found to have the very least affinity for adenosine receptors, and this is the basic difference between doxofylline and other xanthine derivative specially theophylline, and this is because of its chemical ...
