smaller than an asprin and makes you want to get up and go, fast ## I am not sure what you are asking, if you need me to identify your I will need more information about the pill. If you need me to locate a drug or it's ingredients, I will need more informaiton as well. Please post back so i can assist you with your question. ## It's about half the size of an asprin, it's white, plain on one side, an X or a cross on the other side. I will keep trying to see if I can find any more. ## those pills are probably no longer available. we used to buy them in the 70's for $20 per 100. 2 in the morning and you were ready for anything including los...

ambophyllina

Bought in Mexico, so in spanish ambophyllina must be. a small white pill with a line on one side down the middle. ## I use Ambophyllina. It is prescribed to me by a Doctor in Mexacali, Mexico. I use it to contol lung problems. What are the risks associated with the pill? ## My mother-in-law has taken this pill (Ambophyllina) for 20 years and it really helps her lung problems. She recently had to go without for 6 weeks and she has had a terrible time with really severe asthma. Tedral was effective, but addictive.

I was discovered to have asthma and other allergies at the age of two. It was pretty bad in my formative years (2-3 attacks a day wasn't uncommon) A doctor prescribed Tedral to my parents which back then it came in a horrible tasting sugary yellowy thick, liquid form. which I didn't mind at 3yo because it had sugar in it. But Tedral WORKED!! It sincerely did. At about the ages of 6 or 7 I started with the little white Tedral tablets which even at that age I knew they gave me this"pickup" I felt "energized" After years of not having to worry about my attacks any more, by the time I was 16 I was taking them by themselves OR with aspirin for a "high". However when they ceased distribution, I didn't remember any withdrawals but I still have things like sh...

tedral magnified senses

I thought i was mentally unbalanced. Seeing enlargements of real life in front of me. Increased hearing sensitivity. Shrinking rooms in front of me own eyes. For years thinking it was me. An unbalanced. Self. It all stopped as i got older until one day I was having an asthmatic condition and took the medicine the doctor had me take 3 times a day! Tedral!. The truck in front of my eyes, as i worked on the engine, seemed to shrink like what happened 5 ears previously. when I was taken tedral regularly. I wasn't crazy after all--- It was the medicine! Anyone else experience shrinking heads, feelings of speed' before the term existed? Why was it taken off the market? Everyone have these problems? It would be nice to hear from others about their Tedral experience. This occurred 1952 ...

Nebulizer that works with asthmanefrin vials.

I purchased an OMRON Vibrating Mesh Nebulizer online in August. About the same size as the crap piece of garbage that came with the Astmanefrin starter kit. Works great and to be honest I have gone a few days without soaking it in distilled water and vinegar. I just run some distilled water thru it after each use. After 6 months it still works great! It has a 2 year warranty. ## Many belated thanks for the info Pat. My atomizer is still working but from other reports I'm sure it won't last, so your info is very helpful. ## Hello Pat, Excellent information! How often did you have to wash the original piece that came with the Astmanefrin start kit? Also what is the price comparison for getting the Omron nebulizer compared to getting the Astmanefrin kit replacement?

I Just Found Out The FDA Pulled AsthmaNefrin Off The Shelves

I've been sitting here crying because the pharmacist just told me that AsthmaNefrin was taken off the market. I look on the internet and it's been recalled by the FDA because it has caused chest pain and has many complaints. This decision by the FDA will kill people like me because I get a paradoxical reaction to Albuterol and Levalbuterol. They work completely different. Different drug. If I go to the emergency because I can't breathe, they save me with ephinephrine, the same drug that AsthmaNefrin is. And look in any drug book, Albuterol and Levalbuterol has worse side-effects than Epinephrine. I have to have my rescue inhaler with me everyday. The Primatene tablets are horrible, causing extreme anxiety and don't mix with my antidepressant. I was on cortisone for years...

What is the substitute of Tedral SA tablets?

I am male 55 years and consuming two tablets of Tedral SA since last 30 years. During this period, I never faced any inconvenience and attack of asthma in any type of weather or circumstances. Now this tablet is not available in market. I need good substitution to this tablet with the same ingredients. ## From what I understand, there is NO substitute for the old Tedral formulation. Tedral contained some phenobarb, which helped, but didn't really work, to neutralize the stimulant side effects of theophylline and ephedrine. Ephedrine isn't available anymore and the combo of those two drugs caused "speedy" feelings. It's more typical that you'd be prescribed a rescue inhaler for acute asthma attacks (ProAir = albuterol is common) than any oral med. Works faster wit...

Bronkaid Tablets

Are we sure that bronkaid tablets haven't been taken off the market in some areas? I went to 3 different drug stores today, in Columbus County, North Carolina, to purchase, and there was an empty shelf where they once were. Not even the pharmacists could say whether they had been discontinued. ## Bronkaid is not being carried in drug stores in Columbia city indiana ## Thanks for your kind response. ## Bronkaid was discontinued as of 12/31/11 due to a phase out of these types of medications. Have you tried consulting your doctor about using an alternative medication? ## Actually, we have not. The medicines are for my wife, who has had bouts with asthma her entire life. It seems that once we find something that works, it is discontinued. The physicians advice, I suppose, is always goo...

Bring Primatene Mist Back!

Knowing I have asthma makes life hard enough but when you have a sudden attack and don't have your medication with you, the next best thing is to run to a drug store and get an over the counter inhaler for quick relief so you can make it to the hospital. Primatene Mist was great for that, easy to use and fast acting. Now that it is gone, I thought I could manage with just my medication. I was wrong. Another sudden attack on my way home in the car, my medication packed in a bag somewhere in the trunk. So I stopped at a drug store in hope of finding something for help. I got Asthmanefrin which I almost died on the spot over the price. Paid for it, went out to my car and opened it only to have trouble figuring this thing out. I ended up going to the ER in that town only because the Ast...

increased shortness of breath after vocal cord medialization

I had paralysis of left vocal cord after having a thyroidectomy. I had hoarseness and shortness of breath, which is common with the paralysis. I have since had vocal cord medialization with injection. I still have hoarseness and the shortness of breath is now worse than ever. ENT kind of brushed it aside and told me I should see a Pulmonologist to make sure Asthma is under control. For the last week shortness of breath has been REALLY bad. Saw Pulmonologist today ALL clear with my lungs. I am scheduled for a Pulmonary Function Test, so I can take results to ENT to show him at my next visit. Anyone who can relate? I am SO frustrated!

Azmacort Substitute

Azmacort has been taken off the market because of environmental concerns (they say). There really is NO substitute. All other steroids do not work. My wife could die because of it. No one seems to care. Do you? ## Jack, so sorry to hear about the impact that Abbott's decision is having on your wife. It is sad that companies can create products which help individuals (and make individuals rely on them) and then just make such a decision to withhold it on a whim. Surely something can be done about this. I'd start by contacting Abbott and/or consulting with an attorney to see what can be done. Has her doctor recommended any substitutes yet? I know you said that nothing else works for her, but I would be curious to know what the doctor is recommending be done. Good luck and keep me ...
