i developed bradycardia, pulse 36-42. Cardizem is the name brand, is that right? Plus there must be MANY other names that are Generic but they are all the same, is that right? 1. Cartia XT 2. Diltizem ER (XR/XT) 3. Dilacor Xr. Plus each manufacturer has a different colored pill for the same thing, is that right? Doctor increased dose from 180 and BP still not budging. Have large red bruises on arms, even small hit will cause great blood spots. Can this be the Dilitaz? ## Hi, Keith! Sorry about the problem you're having. And yes, that could be due to an issue with the medication and you need to contact your doctor about it as soon as possible. They'll need to check it out to ensure that it's not a serious health complication starting and you'll most likely need to switch to a different medication. I'm not sure why they just increased the dosage, if it wasn't working to begin with, then just trying a different medication is usually the best approach. Hello you see I go to a clinic and get my meds from a few different places not just one pharmacy and am not sure what are all compatible.you see I am leery. I have very severe pain from acute gallbladder problem and can't get surgery at this time because I have COPD exacerbation and also waiting for surgery on my mouth for several teeth broken at gum line and under the gum line with a open fistula. Spent most of august 2009 trying to find a pharmacy with cartia xt after taking it for 8 years, not one had it not even online. Was switched to Dilacor XT but made me out of balance, tired, blurry vision, muscle weakness and really tired. After Dr. lowered dose twice from 240 to 120 pharmacy gave me the wrong prescription which made me even worse, I found two posts from June 2010 from patients who filled Cartia prescriptions at Walgreens. Halleluah! has it, switched back 6/22/10 with exactly the same mfg, Andrax from the year before.
