Hi i just picked up my percription for zanex at a different pharmacy and they have a imprint of 1 1 on it i was wondering if anybody had anything to say about this type of brand. ## Caraco pharmaceuticals does make the generic Xanax (a.k.a Alprazolam). The specific imprint you have listed describes the generic 2 mg tablets. It seems that they only started making this in the past 5 years or so, but I could be wrong. There is another discussion thread where people are talking about this exact pill in more detail. Check posts # 19, 20, and 25 over there too. Xanax Alprazolam Scored White With Only "11" Imprint. Hope this helps!

I got this as a refill. Does nothing for the pain from the surgery that i had. The one i had before which was manufactured by Watson i could take one of and be able to not be in pain. With this one i can take 2 as it states on the bottle and it does nothing and i am still in pain. Same script same instructions the only difference is manufacture and this one does nothing for my pain. Care to tell me why? ## Hello, Lori! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain. There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one manufacturer to another and you may be sensitive to such changes. The best thing to do, if you can, is to ask your doctor if they can prescribe it as the brand being medically necessary. Is there anything else I can help with?

This stuff is garbage! Doesn't kill the pain and makes me sleepy, which never has happened before. Been in this stuff for years. I'll ask CVS to NOT fill it if they use this company!!! ## Hello, Freda! How are you? I'm very sorry the medication from this manufacturer didn't work for you. Just like any generic, however, it works great for some people, but not everyone. But, you are always free to go to a different pharmacy to see if they carry one from a different manufacturer. I actually always hate the nasty taste I'd get from one my medications and was delighted, when I transferred my prescriptions to a different pharmacy and discovered that they carry one from a different manufacturer that is film coated. I was forced into taking Caraco Norco. This cheap manufacturer should be banned. Mallinkrodt lasted all 6 hours. Caraco when there was some relief with 2 pills lasted only 3 hours. This is how patients O.D. How do we get this ineffective brand banned? Can we get a legal case going against pharmacies for pushing ineffective meds? We have to pay for these meds, we are patients suffering and should be able to trust our medication is good quality. This has to stop. ## The whole premise behind brand vs generic is when the patent runs out for brand a generic is made by the same or another company . The absolute rule from the beginning of generic's is that the are suppose to be exactly equivalent to the brand name. Something extremely dangerous is happening with what some of the cheap comp...

I have Medicare and AARP to cover the cost of my Rx, but need help locating a pharmacy that carries the medication Verapamil made by "Caraco". I presently am taking Verapamil er 180 mg at night, mfg by Caraco and I have tried other brands/generics with too many side effects. ## Unfortunately, there is no directory of what pharmacy carries a product from any given manufacturer that anyone can refer to for you. However, if you can post back with your general location, someone might be able to recommend a pharmacy in your area. I have been taking Greenstone Alprazolam .25 for a long time. Once they gave me Dava and that was awful. Now they gave me Caraco, and I am afraid to start it. I know Greenstone is Classified as A. How is Caraco classified? ## I'm not sure what you're referring to as the classifications. When they are manufactured to the standards as set by the FDA, all generics are considered equal and to be of top quality, so there is no rating system that's used for them. There can be some slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient, so a little change could be what's causing your problem, but your body will usually adjust in a week or so, since the different isn't significant. Or you could have a problem with some of the inactive ingredients, because they do cause i...

Has everyone given up on contacting Caraco Labs, the manufacturer of Synalgos-DC? We have called several times but most recently, all we can get is in answering machine. Prior to the answering machine, a woman took the calls and each time we spoke, she gave a different date as to when Caraco would be marketing this wonderful pain medication. Our pharmacist tells us that every night when he sends in his orders, Synalgos-DC is always on the list. I think he has given up, too, for he hasn't tried to call in a couple of weeks.
