Ortho-Est worked perfectly for my body in every way then my my Pharmacy called & said it was no longer available, approx. 2003. Is some mfgr. making this original formula and what pharmacies carry it? It is the ONLY one that worked & restored my health for me. Please HELP? ## I have the same problem as above and am desparate to find a supplier of Ortho-Est. I have not had a nights sleep for 7 months and have spent R6000 on gynea's and other products which do not work. ## Unfortunately, no! It has been discontinued in the U.S. There is, however, another medication available that contains the same active ingredient, it's called Ogen, so you may want to ask your doctor about it. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was on ortho prefest tabs for several yrs. for menapausal symptoms...went on nat. compound creams which are no longer working...is ortho prefest still made? ## I haven't found any information stating that Ortho-Prefest (estradiol + norgestimate) has been discontinued, so I'm led to believe that it's still readily available at your local pharmacy & with a valid prescription. Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, a Johnson & Johnson company based in Raritan, New Jersey, manufactures and markets medication with the same active ingredients as Ortho-Prefest; but lists them under different names such as: Ortho Tri-cyclen LO and Ortho Evra. If this is prescribed for itching of the vulva area, what are the side effects? ## Hello, Hody! How are you? This contains a form of estrogen called estriol and is usually used in this manner, when dryness due to hormonal changes is believed to be causing the itching. Since it is a hormone, side effects may include headache, irritability, weight changes and mood changes. Are there any other questions or concerns?
