Liquid Darkens In Color

Why does Centrum Liquid vitamins get darker in color by the time of the last few doses? Shaking the bottle doesn't make any difference; the last 3 or 4 tbsp. are darker in color.

This is just my theory, but I can only assume that one or more of the following ingredients aren't getting completely mixed in with the rest of the liquid & settling at the bottom due to their molecular weight and/or solubility:

"Centrum Liquid Vitamin Ingredients: **Purified Water, Sucrose, Ethyl Alcohol. Contains <2% Of: Ascorbic Acid (Vit. C), BHA (Preservative), BHT (Preservative), Biotin, Chromic Chloride, Citric Acid, Cyanocobalamin (Vit. B12), Dexpanthenol, Disodium EDTA (Preservative), DL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit. E), Ferrous Gluconate, Glycerin, Manganese Chloride, Modified Corn Starch, Natural And Artificial Flavors, Niacinamide, Potassium Iodide, Propylene Glycol, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vit. B6), Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate (Vit. B2), Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sodium Citrate, Sodium Molybdate, Sorbic Acid, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vit. B1), Zinc Gluconate. **Formula Revised To Remove Vitamins A And D."

Do the last few doses also taste different from the rest of the bottle?

Thanks for your theory/answer; I was just afraid that I might be getting an overdose of iron at the bottom of the bottle. I don't really notice a difference in the taste.
