I am in east tn and have been going to the same doc for over two yrs. recently the PA quick and have gone through 3 new ones in two months. I asked to be taken off my morphine 30 mg 3x a day to try something else since i have been on it for a long time. The new PA put me on oxycontin 40 mg twice a day and took away one of my percs from 4 to 3. Well to start with they put me on the 20 mg dose which was not even equivelent to what i was on and i had to go back and i found that the oxycontin was not helping me anymore that the morphine so i asked to be put back on it and i told her the xtra perc i get in the middle of the night helps me and when she cut me back i was having a hard time. So she put me back on 4 percs a day but with the embeda. I went to take it to be filled and they had to order it and i called to let her know but she would not change it. The meds never came in and i am 4 days without my morphine and nobody has it because it has to be special ordered because its so new and she still will not change it for me. I have never given them a reason to think i am abusing my meds and i have only seen her two or three times. I have only seen the doc there once in over two yrs of going to this place. I dont know what to do. I am going through withdrawl and have nothing but percs to take as i wait for my meds to come in. I called the phamacy today and they reordered it and told me to check back in two days. Why the hell nobody cares is beyond me. I also have Atrial Fib wrong with my heart and its not been doing good. I wish i could get her in trouble for doing this to me. I am always on target with my pill count and urine tst and like i said i have only seen her a handful of times. I wish i knew of another doc to go to because i will not go to a practice that dont care about their patients. I am in east tn by knoxville, does anyone know of a kind doctor that i could try?? I appreciate any help you can give. Thank You

Good luck with that, I wonder if we go to the same place..I am also in Knoxville. They took me off the morphine and put me on 20 mg Embeda and took away one of my oxycodone 15 mg. Never had a bad cunt or a bad urine ever. Told the pain dr that the Embeda does not help (even my genetics evaluation says my system metabolizes morphine too quickly) he still would not budge, finally told them either move me to another of the NP's or Dr.'s in the practice or I would go elsewhere, so they moved me. She just put me on Fent patch but it's horrible..I have cried for 2 days in pain, day 5 of the patches and still just my 2 15 mg Oxycodone per day..they say they will up the patches next month but for the first time I know I will not have enough oxycodone to get through the month.

Good luck with that. I live in Maryland and just went through this, and morphine is on my allergy list, wth. Even passed through the pharmacy, and I also had to wait 3 day's, I should have looked it up beforehand. And saved my money and time. There is no actual health care anymore. The only medications they want to give are the ones that will make the one's of us who are not addicted to hard drugs actually want it or move on to the government's next synthetic from. They will not give the drugs that work for us, that were made for the problems that we have, due to the overwhelming abuse by so many. I do see their point, but not by giving us synthetic medications that mock other hard drugs. Totally ridiculous, I was also given injections in my back 3 weeks ago that completely paralyzed me for 19 hrs, needless to say with that and the morphine over look, I will not be going back there. It is almost impossible to find a regular doctor that will take the chance on writing prescriptions due to if someone abuses or dies he can be held responsible and lose license or face jail time. I can see a lot of us suffering due to this. Doctors cannot treat and be compassionate.

Well hi. im in wilkesboro nc. im 26 years old. i have had chronic back pain since a car wreck when I was 16 and it has only gotten worse over the years. I have been going to a clinic for the last two-and-a-half years in Mooresville. I had the most amazing doctor until she had to leave she took a job closer to home. the new doctor was a young guy who didn't really listen to me and I was in the fortune in gas driving so I decided to transfer to Wilkesboro so I could save on gas. it was the worst mistake I ever made in my life. I transferred to the new clinic but they opened up a few months back maybe a year now and I have been taking consistently for a year and four months three morphine sulfate IR 15 milligrams 3 times a day and every 8 hours as needed. I've never had a failed drug panel. I've never misuse my medicine. never had any problems or complications. I transferred while still taking the morphine and the new doctor was a male doctor who immediately took me off of the morphine that I have been taking for over a year. when I told him that I've been on it so long that I feel like I needed something more added to it and he took me off of the morphine I have left from that day and placed me on some new experimental drug, 100 milligram tablet twice a day and made me very very angry aggressive and crazy. I swear I can hear my hair growing and it pissed me off and it made me sick to my stomach and gave me severe migraines. I was so mean and angry I didn't want to move. I don't want to bore you. he also wrote me Gabapentin which I've had bad reactions to in the past but he didn't care and wanted me to take 600 milligrams of that before going to sleep and I have a 4 year old so I can't do that. he also wrote me something called meloxicam which was on my allergy list and he said I would have to pick up all my prescriptions at once or you get none of them. so they remove the red cap on my allergy medication and maybe purchase a medicine that I was allergic to. it told me at the pharmacy not to take it wide enough for 6 days and I'm changing my medicine back to Morphine but only to Morphine time release 15 milligrams instead of 30. then I came back in for my regular appointment and I seen a woman doctor and she wrote me out of the blue, completely changed my medicine to the Oxycontin 20 milligrams twice a day and Oxycodone 10 milligrams once a day. I had to wait for the Oxycontin to go through and I have no complications whatsoever with oxycodone but after taking the Oxycontin I began to get sick and have severe migraines and vomiting excessively and started vomiting blood. I ended up in the hospital getting blood and had to have an IV medicine the next day. I took the medicine back to the doctor where she refused to speak to me. she made the secretary speak to me and they wrote me a prescription for embeda. when I asked what this was she said she did not know and I told her I did not want to take any more experimental medications because I already had too many complications and ask to just be put back on my morphine sulfate which I've been on for over a year she comes back out after speaking to the doctor and says that she refused to change it that it was morphine, it was the exact same but it was stronger and would help me with my pain and explained to me that it was morphine. I took it dropped it off at the pharmacy and had to wait till 8 o'clock that night meanwhile she still has me prescribed the Oxycodone 10 milligrams 1 today. I got home and took one 20 milligram capsule and in 45 minutes I was in so much pain I'd started to cry in 2 hours. I was in excruciating pain radiating from my entire body especially my back. I have the shakes sweats and shields and inside of four hours. I had gone into full-blown withdrawal from one capsule, revenge of the medicine bag. the next day I told the doctor and the nurses cuz the doctor refused to see me what had happened and the amount of pain that I was in and the amount of pain that it causes me from taking one capsule and she told me that it was morphine and that it should not cause me any pain. they didn't treat me like a junkie and I told them that I would be back. I came back to speak to the doctor and the doctor wouldn't see me. the nurse treated me like a junkie again and told me that the medicine should work for me, that it was morphine and I told her it was not just morphine that it had other medicine in it and she said that it had medicine to keep me from abusing it. now I have never abused my medicine and I told her this and then when I told her she was treating me as a junkie she got pissed off at me and started to yell and she told me that I could not abuse it that way and that that was all they were going to write me and I told her I just wanted to know that I was aware that I never want to change or take it off and they told me that that was the only medicine that they were going to prescribe, they would not change it and would not write me anything else. I am still currently taking the Oxycodone 10 milligrams and that is all that I have to last me until I go to the doctor some where else because they tried to kill me with all the new medications and experimental drugs. they have used me as a guinea pig for I do not recommend anyone take this new drug called embeda. it is dangerous and the warning label says NOT to take it with any narcotics or if you have taken any narcotics in 5 to 7 day prior to taking it or could cause withdrawal symptoms. just a warning to all people out there so you don't have to go through what i have went through.

I have been on Oxycotinxr15 mg twice a day and 4 oxycodones 10mg breakthrough medicine for over 2 years but my clinic closed so they referred me to a new clinic closer to my home.I gave my records to the new doctor and its like he didn't even look at them.He came in after a few minutes, took me off all my medicine and wrote me a script for Embeda 20mg twice a day.No breakthrough medicine. He said with this, that I wont need anything else because it will be strong enough and last longer. And not to call in within the first week, because it takes that long to get used to this medicine.I am reading about this medicine and its got me terrified but unfortunately its all they are going to give me.They said when i finish my oxy to wait the 12 hours then start the embeda,Is this the safest way to switch my medicines?

Re: Johnny hurts (# 5)

Hey, I’m fixing to pick up my rx for Embeda for the first time and was seeing all these negative reviews but then saw yours and felt a little better. Thank you and I’m hoping it works.

Dr. Letard (865)-288-4115, but I’m starting to think all the trouble we r having filling is NOT due to doc changing or whatnot! It’s the government interference due to the “opioid epidemic”. True pt care is completely disregarded as I saw an article where local docs (about 150 miles further into east Tenn) r suing the state government who has implemented the latest “regulations” saying that they r causing docs to not be able to treat patients and even say the regulations r pushing all pt to pp clinics and there r not enough pp clinics in the state to accommodate patients!
