Watson 853 White Pill
(Newest replies first)

I have always taken the Watson 853 yellow pill and for some reason I was just given Watson 853 white pills. What is going on? Why the color difference?

I have Watson 853 tablets that have a beige tint to them. I was wondering if the white 853 are truly white or more of an off-white?

I didn't know they were yellow at one time. or maybe I had forgotten. But I to have severe chronic back pain, and I take these white Watson pills, Mine are oblong white 853. They are 10/325's and if I take to many in a 24 hour timeframe then i get migraine like headaches. Not a good thing. These pills work for me, But I am not everyone. EVeryone is different. Pain is different. We are ALL DIFFERENT. I chose to go and get my medical marijuana card here in AZ. I will see if this works better then taking Norco. Since I have been just diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.

I and several other people who have need for this medication for serious chronic pain are all in AGREEMENT,,,,THEY DON'T WORK ON THE PAIN! I broke my back in an accident, and had been able to function with the watson yellow ones, but the white ones are worthless to me, I have to take 2, which never before had to, barely helps and gives me a bad headache and sick stomach.. My husband had me close my eyes he would drop the pill in my mouth immediately drank water, I could tell him every time which pill it was in 30 minutes.. Its not our imagination, we WANT it to work, so there would be no reason to complain if it DID!

I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM ACTIVAS EITHER AND THE FDA COMPLAINT SITE IS BS IT WONT WORK RIGHT U THINK THEY WILL ADMIT THERE IS NO HYDROCODONE IN THESE PILLS? IF THERE IS THERE IS BARELY ANYTHING IJUST TOOK 2 AND BARELY FEEL A THING. THAT IS CRAZY AND I WANT MY FRIGGIN $300 BACK now!

different that's for sure. i no longer get bad headaches, but i was almost positive that was due to the hydrocodone. I no longer get headaches, and these white watsons do seem to be weaker.

I agree that they are different, I think they changed more than just removing the dye! I won't be getting Watson anymore - Mallie's would be better than these!

I have experienced poor results with the white pills. If they are different and labelled the same then walgreens is liable for damages!

Not the same for sure!

It seems from other posts made on here recently that Watson is just removing the dyes from some of their products. There have been some complaints from people that have had sensitivity or allergic reactions to them, so they have been doing away with them.

However, as long as the imprint is the same and your pharmacy has listed it as being the same medication and the same dosage, then you shouldn't have any reason to worry.

Are there any other questions or comments?
