How long have you been taking it?

It does contain Vilazodone, which is a type of antidepressant, so if you've been taking it for awhile, it may be necessary for you to taper off.

However, if you've only been on it for a short time, then you should be able to just stop taking it.

Are you experiencing problems from taking it?

I've been on 10mg of Viibryd for 7 days and 20mg for 2 days. The side effects are intolerable. Is it safe to just stop this early on or would it be less agonizing to take one every other day for a few days?

I don't know if Viibryd is right for me. I am on 10mg which I have been taking for about 6 weeks. I feel hopeless. I feel overwhelmed with life. I struggle sometimes to get through the day. I was on Celexa for a long time but it stopped working. I think because menopause started. Two yrs now and my life has fallen apart. Additionally, I was diagnosed with PTSD, for which the Viibryd is supposed to help. I have sever backaches, hip and leg pain; let twitching (twice so far at night); difficulty sleeping. I am irritable, major mood swings, thoughts of suicide. Can't distinguish PTSD from menopause from depression and anxiety.
