What if any side effects are people experiencing on viibryd ## Taking Viibryd (vilazodone) at a dose of 40 mg per day is considered to be well tolerated and reported adverse effects ranged from mild to moderate in intensity; side effects included diarrhea, nausea, and somnolence. Other than that, I haven't located any other side effect information on this drug. You can view more details on Viibryd by following the link below: Please post back if you have any other general questions or concerns about this drug. ## I have noticed hair loss, been on it about 4 months now. ## been on vii almost 2 months. worse side effect is restless leg. if i get it taken early enough in the day, i don't notice it as much. if i take it noonish, then its really bad at bedtime. also didn't help t...

viibryd hair loss

After discontinuing Viibryd, has anyone noticed their hair NOT becoming thick again? I've been on 60 mg for about 8 months. My hair is now falling out by the handfuls.. I have an appointment to see my dr. next week but I'm terrified my hair won't grow back! Not to sound self centered or shallow but I adore my hair! Had I of known this was a side effect I'd never agreed to try this medication. I'm terrified, as I've already stated, but I am also angry that this information isn't given by drug reps who push these meds! I pay 277$ a month for this RX & now have to worry about withdrawals, my hair possibly not growing back & adjusting to a new medication. Any replies are welcome & will be appreciated! ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? I'm very sorry ...

Viibryd Withdrawal -- how i felt
30 Replies RSS
Stopping Viibryd: From 40mg I tapered down to 7 days of 20mg followed by 7 days of 10mg. The biggest side effect I felt was mostly irritability and anxiety. I was able to go into work but tried to keep to myself. I felt sick. Didn't want to socialize. When I finally stopped the med completely it was pretty bad. I'm on day 6 now. Have been unable to work, drive or leave my house ... for fear of ending up in jail or hospital from flipping out. I feel a constant anger and want to break things, and have yelled at the top of my lungs to two people on the phone. I feel disoriented, dizzy, itchy, and confused (itchiness was actually nothing new for me). I'm confined to my house until further notice. Very unpleasant! ## Hi gistell, Sorry to hear about your situation with Viibryd. Th...

Short term Viibryd use, already coming off
7 Replies RSS
I started with the starter pack 2 weeks ago. First day I took the 10mg in the morning, was severely dizzy all day. Waited the following day and didn't take until night time right before bed. I didn't experience any of the sleeping side effects that others here have mentioned. Over the whole period of the two weeks of taking viibryd, my leg muscles(upper and lower) and shins have been increasing in pain and now having pain in my forearms and stretching into my biceps. (Can the viibryd cause these effects?) After the first week I bumped up to the 20mg as instructed, still taking before bedtime. In the morning severely and then throughout the day I began having nausea and diarrhea. I've also been having skin sensitivty on my scalp, shoulders, and neck. I visited my Physician ye...

Be VERY cautious mixing alcohol with Viibryd!!
106 Replies RSS
This is a warning to you all... A little bit about me first: I'm 6'3" and only 130 pounds. Naturally I am very susceptible to side effects of any drug. I also didn't have my first taste of alcohol until October 2011, which is when I turned 23. Throughout November 2011 I took Cymbalta. I also drank occasionally, but not often and not much. Cymbalta gave me a lot side effects such as an upset stomach, dizzyness, inability to sleep, etc. About mid-December I switched to Prozac, and took it through February. Throughout this time I drank a lot. Very often, and sometimes I'd get incredibly drunk, but I didn't have any bad experiences with mixing Prozac and alcohol. At the beginning of March 2012 I started taking Viibryd because Prozac wasn't giving me the results I...

Help! Coming off of Viibryd
129 Replies RSS
I was wondering if any of you out there have come off of an SSRI and had severe panic attacks that lasted a month or longer. I am in such distress. I wasn't taking any sort of medication a few years ago and was fine. I almost went through a break-up last summer, got super depressed and my primary care physician started me on Viibryd. At first, it worked great, I felt happy and alive and things smoothed over with the boyfriend. Once he bumped me up to 40 mg however this past November I started to notice I was having panic attacks every now and then. I decided I wanted to get off of it and he cut me down to 20mg for a week, then 10 mg for a week and then nothing. The more I got off of Viibryd, th more panic attacks I would have. I would especially get them while driving. I would get a...

Diarrhea

Will the diarrhea stop after being on viibryd for awhile? ## Hi, Ruth! That can certainly be an annoying side effect. And yes, it should go away after about 4 to 6 weeks, once your body has gotten used to the medication. If it doesn't, or if it becomes severe, then you should consult your doctor immediately. In the meantime, as long as you're not on any fluid restrictions or been told by your doctor not to do so, you may want to add a little extra water each day to prevent dehydration. Other side effects may include nausea and insomnia. Learn more Viibryd details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What about if the first time you take Viibryd and immediately start vomiting and continuous painful diarrhea with horrible stomach pain? I was afraid to even take anymore...

Early Side Effects with Viibryd
25 Replies RSS
I started taking Viibryd three days ago, and have started to see negative side effects. I'm currently taking 10 mg. I get extreme hot flashes, and sweat more excessively. I also noticed I have been experiencing migranes, and tingly sensations throughout my body. My doctor said that this is normal for the first few weeks, but I'm starting to wonder if this has happened to anybody else. Should I just ride it through the next couple of weeks, or should I get off of Viibryd now? ## I have been on Viibryd for for 5 days. The first day I experienced nausea and loose bowels, but that has passed. Now I am getting hot flashes. Also, the heat and sun bother me more. When I woke up this morning, my hand was numb. I'm also on Leumectal. I'm going to keep going on the Viibryd and hop...

I have just started taking Viibryd.

I'm suffering from depression/anxiety/bipolar disorders. Today, as of 6th of October, I have taken my 6th pill of 10mg of Viibryd. Just after my second pill I started experimenting dizziness and nausea. I've been having troubled sleeping, and as soon as I wake up everything seems to be spinning around me. The first thing I do in the morning is running to the fridge just to grab something to eat, otherwise I'm extremely nauseous and have an upset stomach. I've been having daharrea along with painful lower part of my abdominals for the last 4 days. I'm feeling very depressed, sad, heavy, and lethargic without an ability of completing simple daily tasks. I have just started feeling shooting pains first in my feet, then legs, and now a little bit in my chest. Anxiety is ...
