contradiction

Am taking levothyroxine & Evista(Raloxifine) like to know if these 2 medicine have contradiction. ## I assume you are asking about contraindications or interactions. Raloxifine can reduce the amount of Levothryoxine available in the body, this may require your doctor to make a dosage adjustment. Ideally, to avoid this problem, you shouldn't take the two drugs at the same time, they should be taken 12 hours apart.

Imprinted with M on one side and L 5 on the other side; small, oblong caplet ## Oblong, white pill with 50/50/50 on onside and AP 3171 ## M l5 contains 50mcgs of Levothyroxine, a generic for Unithyroid. ## AP 3171 505050 contains 150mgs of Trazadone, a generic for Desyrel, this is an antidepressant. Interaction?

I have been taking this medication for quite a while and I believe my minor thyroid problem is under control. I have read and been told that this perticular medication can give you extra energy and weight loss. This is definately not happening in my case, in fact just the opposite. I have never felt this was due to medication though. An acquaintance told me that my medication would work in this manner if I took it at least one hour prior to taking my other medications and vitamins or drinking anything ie: coffee, tea, juice, etc. Could this be true and my doctor has just been remiss in relating this info to me, or have I been remiss in reading the RX insert? ## Well the basic point here is it says it can or may do that, it does not say that it will do that, which means that it works to ...

Has anyone experiences any reactions, such as fever and chilling as a result of taking this drug ## I had both, plus my base body temp is now higher. As a result I get hotter and colder easier than before and my regular temp is about a 99.2. ## If you look over the monograph: You will see that fever issues are a very common side effect.

Side effects while on chemotherapy

I have experienced tachycardia with EKG changes. Can levoxly while on chemo be potentiated in levels or effects on my metabolism? ## Yes, but just the Levoxyl can do it. That happened to me and I am only 23 and not on chemo. It went away after a day and the doc said not to worry. Im not sure what that would mean for you, though. I just know it can make a person go tachy.

Does it take a long time to titrate the correct dosage? ## If the colum posting is right and you are talking about synthroid pills, then yes you are correct....it can take time to titrate the right dosage for you. Keep at it though, because when you are at the right one you will feel so much better!

i have been put on levothroxine 75 mg for a low thyroid after 5 weeks still know weight loss how long before i see a result ## With a slightly low thyroid, I have been on a much lower dose for several months, but have not lost any of the weight I had gained. ## I did lose weight after about a month on the .025 mcg- it came off really slow though and I had to slow down on my calorie intake just brcause the pill made me more hungry. I just went back to eating like I normally did and the weirhgt came off. I went from 137 to 123.

Possible effects on 75 yr. old

I believe that the prescribed medication is to high. Symptoms such as ataxia, (balance problems), slurred speech. This onset of symptoms was sudden and I've undergone many tests with no cause. Leading me back to this medication. I would like to hear if anyone else can relate to this. Thank You ## I need info on the effects of .0125 MG of Synthroid

I also have been on synthroid for 12 yrs. and still am not on a reg. dose--dr.change me reg.. I was put on 350mg. and then brought down to what I am now at 125mg. seems to be ok. I hate that with any meds. I never can get regulated.. It is one big roller coaster ride with my health and sanity as the booby prize.

muscle pains in arms

Does anyone taking synthroid know anything about muscle pains. i have been on synthroid for 30 years and recently i am experiencing very bad pains in my arms and I am wondering if it is related to the medicine ## Are you on cholesterol drugs...this sounds more like a side effect of the statin drugs to lower cholesterol. I have been taking synthroid for 10 years and have not had this symptom. ## I also have been on levothyroxine sssynthroid for a long period and also suffer sever arm pains in both arms ## I have also been on simvastatin fo a long time now and went off it do to kidney problems thats what iwas told by the dr.
