T 194 Yellow Pill (Page 2)

Updated

I have a T 194 yellow pill that says it's a percocet 10mg, but when taking it, it made me feel super weird and my chest hurt. Is this a possible side effect?

I was given the t194 yellow percocet and whenever I take it I begin to sweat profusely. Usually, my pharmacy gives me the A333. I've never had a problem with them whatsoever. So my question is, am I having an allergic reaction to them?

RE: t 194 yellow oval pill

Why are so many companies making oxycodone and does any come from other countries? If so, why, when they can be made here in the USA? I don’t trust medications from other countries right now.

BCBS won't be covering any type of pain med any more. My husband has a bad back and has BCBS. Ugh

These oxycodone T194 pills are newly adopted by Walgreens as of December 2017. They’re not as potent as my previous oxycodone (A333) and a major side effect is that they heavily suppress my appetite. You won’t be able to eat properly. Also, it will take several days of sobriety for this side effect to subside.

What do you mean? We have BCBS and I picked up my prescription January 2nd with no problems. I have not heard anything about them not covering.

Joe oh my gosh, finally someone who also is aware of how when Watson made them, they worked. I think I know why they named the replacements 333. It's because 1 watson was as strong as 3 of the Actavis. I cleaned out a closet and found a single, old Watson. I thought, dare I? Well waste not, want not, so for my next dose I took the 2 year old "lost" & found, single Watson pill. It literally reminded me when I had thoracic back surgery and had been on 30 mg Percocets! At least so, when compared to the weak A333's. Dr. Oz says generic brands may have anywhere from 80% to 125% of a drug, than the original non generic. So A333's and T-194's are allowed to have 20% less oxycodone than original Percocets. My theory is that Watson's generic Percocet had 125% or possibly 12.5 mg Oxycodone in a pill labeled 10 mg. And this made that pill very popular. But a funny thing happened on the way to the oxycodone store... people became total subject and slave to whatever cheapest generic say Walgreens could find. So Watson, by way of having extra medicine and quality product, priced itself out of the market. Then comes A333 or T-194 probably having only 8 mg in tablets labeled 10 mg. Let's review what may have happened: Watson 10's = 12.5mg. T-194 10's = 8mg. This means that legally, some generics (Watson?) could have had FIFTY PERCENT more oxycodone than say T-194's. Bingo, there's your answer. This post is theory only and I'm not accusing any manufacturers of any wrongdoing.

You are so completely right! I have chronic ra that comes with frequent intense flares, also many other problems. There is def. something wrong with T194. This particular pain med from T194 Is SOOOOO BAD, that I am preying every day that I don't flare. The fda and the government should leave us chronic pain people with a documented history ALONE!!!!

I also began these T 194 brand about a week ago. I have severe lower back issues and also a heart problem,(multiple heart attacks and a pacemaker/defibrillator implant. I have been taking generic Percocet for several years and been making it ok. With these new pills I am getting very little relief for my back pain to a point I can barely get around and the pain keeps me awake at night, I also have the itching that I never had a problem with before, and my heart is beating very erratic. This is a bad drug. Unfortunately I have a prescription drug plan that restricts me to Walgreens only, don’t really know what to do!!

Thank you! I just changed Rx Ins plans, so I'll check to see if Kroger is 1 in my new network. Also, I take a lot of meds and I'm not sure if I can fill meds at more than 1 pharmacy.

I didn’t tell my doc for fear of him changing me to something else but being a pharmacy tech I looked it up for myself. My doc prescribed me 10/325 percocets when I started on pain meds but I knew over the years I would build up a resistance to them so I would only take 1/2 a pill daily. As the pain got worse I would take 1/2 pill twice a day. Then 1/2 3 times a day. I was written 1 3 times per day so I started out really slowly. I did notice than if I ever was hurting really bad I would try a whole pill & it would feel like i was having a heart attack. I actually went to my gastro & let him run the light down as my lupus attacks my upper GI tract. It was causing my esophagus to have spasms which mimick the exact feelings of a heart attack the doc told me. I didn’t tell him I thought the Percocets had something to do with it. I’ve had to have my esophagus stretched due to the lupus several times that had nothing to do with the pain meds. But I noticed when I initially increased the dose & it would temporarily cause the pain. Try taking half the dose prescribed till you get used to taking them. Hope this helps. I’d never heard of anyone having this issue till I did & had to figure it out the hard way because I was scared to ask.

I took these and got them from Walgreens it made me sweat profusely so very sick to my stomach and I agree you don't feel like you want to eat anything. They also don't have any potency to them at all it feels like there's nothing there like you've taken nothing

Most of u should prob know by now. ANY change in the meds u take will require “burn-in” period, even the slightest difference be it “inactive” ingredients (altho in reality the synergy with the actual meds definitely makes it active) or the active med ingredients themselves. IE: change in food dye color or amount of alcohol in them. Any of it will cause ur body, programmed for years to expect and tolerate a different combo, to react differently until it adjusts. The rest is mental. Give it a few days/weeks (for the most sensitive patients and / or the highest doses, maybe longer).

By law - and by maintaining strict standards- not by best effort these meds must have at least 8mg to 12mg of the main ingredient. Its possible they have a couple less mg’s in a few of the pills but for the most part will be consistent with the other generics and close enough to the brand name to be considered effective and acceptable. I too just for these today and I went a week without my meds for 1st time in many years (not by choice!) and believe me they work and fixed me right up. Even still, i was worried when i saw them at 1st, being a week off I could not WAIT to get them, and then I saw something foreign. And even while thinking the worst but hoping for the best, I felt near instant relief from the pain and overall my heavy legs became light again. Pep back in my step. Motivated and pain free again, within 30 min I was totally at ease and all the negative mental and physical anguish was lifted.

I get that it was prob hard if you did not have a break in between brands, as you can more easily tell the difference. But thats because of my 1st points. For 90/95% of you, just need to adjust to the new formula, i promise. Every day will be better, until you fill receptors and the body learns to handle the new/changed formula. The rest may be sensitive to something like the D & C yellow for instance. (Note its not FD & C like the other colors and strengths, the 10mg uses D & C color, found this interesting myself)

PS- if anyone has had the yellow (“bananas”) percocet brand Then they prob felt good to see yellow instead of white at least at 1st, because at least in the past yellow = good!

Ironically, I felt the opposite you do - the 1st time i was switched from those yellow brand to the white generics you guys are used to, I felt like you do now. But that eventually passed, i adjusted, And the same willingly happen for most of you if you end up stating on these... If not, i hope u find relief and comfort asap or a better alternative.

Re: FibroFighter2 (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

Being this is a recent thread & after reading most of the posts with your concerns, I thought I'd drop in just to post my opinion on what's going on in the pharmaceutical industry in conjunction with the CDC. Here where I live in S. Carolina, there's been a major shift in the types of scripts "all" the pharmacies in this area are distributing. For whatever reason, some of the more popular oxy based painkiller meds are hard to come by now, pretty much gone from circulation by the local pharmacies. In one locale in particular, I know for a fact, every single pharmacy, chain or mom & pop type drug store is now carrying the exact same time released pills with the hard outer shells. Why this is exactly, I don't know. The outer shell can be defeated but it is more inconvenient doing so. Also, the time released formulas the companies are using don't seem quite as strong. I know they're not for me. This is my opinion of course & others might disagree. Here's my theory, I'm of the opinion the CDC is ordering less potent substitutions be circulated in an effort to start weaning people off them due to the extreme epidemic occurring across America. Of course I don't know this for a fact, but I do find it very suspect suddenly a half dozen variety of popular pills have been taken off the market to be replaced by what I consider an inferior one (RP 10/325 by Rhodes Pharmaceutical). I just feel the industry & government both are now going to undermine legitimate concerns of pain patients in order to alleviate this epidemic the nation's experiencing right now. The FDA essentially allowed these drugs into mainstream America, now they feel forced to reverse their effects. By doing so, they don't care who they hurt or bring down going the opposite direction. This is speculation on my part of course, but I do feel I'm pretty close to the truth, the real truth.

The same thing happened to me with this brand and worse yet, it does not cover my pain issues! The chest pain also happened but I thought it was my imagination but now I realize I don't want to use that brand the pharmacy gives me. The pharmacy that I go to is Walmart so I am thinking of asking for the other brand that doesn't give me side effects.

Re: Mike (# 36) Expand Referenced Message

Your view point is going to differ greatly compared to people like me who have not taken a week off like you did. You taking a week will totally make the pill you take work!

Clearly by the number of people complaining, there's something wrong! I'm on my 2nd month of these worthless pills and have felt worse than I have in a long time! I've no appetite. I'm nauseous, weak, anxious, and just feeling like crap! So no.. a few days or weeks isn't going to make this pill better.

Sadly, I really like my local walgreens. But I might have to get my oxy 10s elsewhere. I'd still go there for my long term if possible though.

Does anyone know what generic Rite Aid in NJ carries?

Re: skitzlpk (# 37) Expand Referenced Message

I feel you are absolutely correct in your assessment. The government is (in my opinion) overdoing their response to the hyperbolic from the media and competition by painting everyone with the same brush. Let me explain: There are some folks like me who were legitimately injured on the job for lifting heavy boxes for 17 years on a daily basis. It tore my rotator cuff tendons on both shoulders and I am in extreme pain due to surgery and my usage of pain meds is due to an industrial injury yet the government and media include us in the group of people who are mixing illegal drugs with narcotic medicine to feel high. It doesn't help that Michael Jackson started the ball rolling with his overdose and unethical doctor who supplied him with fentanyl and Lord knows what else Michael Jackson was mixing. It upsets me to hear that famous people are abusing pain medicine for their selfish lifestyle and addiction; how is this our fault? Changing the potency, ingredients of pain medicine that work in order to "pretend" they are doing something about the self-made epidemic is hypocritical because it punishes decent legal residents who are going through pain issues yet the drug addicts get the effective pain medicine through the black market which the legal and decent people like me will not do. You can bet that the Senators, legislators and wealthy people are getting the good pain drugs while the population is getting the less effective and modified new medicines. So the folks who refuse to get their medicines elsewhere are paying the price of suffering pain. I believe the government will just introduce new drugs like synthetic drugs to enhance their profits while claiming to be working on the so called epidemic. I pray and hope I am wrong but this is what I think is going on.
