My doctor wants me to take Methylphenidate and only wants me to take brand name Ritalin. Will the pharmacy fill the prescription early due to the change of going from generic to brand?

Yes.....as if you did not know! Anyone who has been on Ritalin/methylphenidate more than a week is well aware the FDA says it is highly addictive, blah, blah blah..we know!., but our quality and quantity of life is zero without it....like a diabetic without insulin...or my dog in awful pain with no pain meds! Which would never happen because we will not let our pets suffer and would be jailed if we did! But human Beings? You will suffer and die...no one cares...unless you are filthy rich...that's less than 1 per cent of the USA population! So shut up....I have been ill for 10 plus years....Generics suck!.....most make you sick as crap thanks to cheap fillers, binders and FD&C food colors that we have banned for decades because they make us SICK to death....literally...other countries (hello Teva in Israel! We fined many times for using fd&c 5 because it makes humans sick as you know what..it put me in ICU 7 days unconcious! It was 20mg lovely peachy methylphenidate which my very life depends on due to several tbi's......only request name brand meds.....you are risking your life if you don't! FDA? What FDA? Vote out all incumbents next election..hey, AARP, you still working or schmoozing with politicians we're getting rid of? Capice???

In most cases they will not, if there has not also been a dosage change. Why does your doctor want you to only take the name brand? Have you had some issue with the generics?

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, and weight loss.
