Suboxone In Combo With Viibryd

Does anyone know if you can take suboxone in combo with the anti depressant Viibryd?

You should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain, but I am not finding any interactions listed between the two medications.

Have they been prescribed by the same doctor?

Yes you may take the suboxone and viibryd together. I work for a doctor that has prescribed both for a patient. However you need to make sure you report any side effects to your physician. Some people do quite well and others have had a negative experience in the medications so make sure you follow up as ordered by your doc.

You can take them together. However, you should pay careful attention for any of these symptoms. Here, from the Mayo Clinic "Symptoms

Serotonin syndrome symptoms usually occur within several hours of taking a new drug or increasing the dose of a drug you're already taking. Signs and symptoms include:

Agitation or restlessness
Confusion
Rapid heart rate and high blood pressure
Dilated pupils
Loss of muscle coordination or twitching muscles
Muscle rigidity
Heavy sweating
Diarrhea
Headache
Shivering
Goose bumps
Severe serotonin syndrome can be life-threatening. Signs and symptoms include:

High fever
Seizures
Irregular heartbeat
Unconsciousness
When to see a doctor

If you suspect you might have serotonin syndrome after starting a new drug or increasing the dose of a drug you're already taking, call your doctor right away or go to the emergency room. If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek emergency treatment immediately."
