Suboxone / Heroin Withdrawal (Page 4)

I would like to know if I can take Suboxone for 3 or 4 days to wean off my heroin addiction? I don't want to replace one habit for another. Will I be alright?

She's still using. There's NO WAY to sleep thru H withdrawal...absolutely impossible

If she's taking suboxone she would be able to sleep, just not in full withdrawal

i am trying to detox myself i been doing heroin for 3 years. been to a few detoxs. every time i am dope sick all i do is sleep and when up dont feel like doing anything no motivation. i slept for 4 days in detox. it is because of the sickness and when you sleep you don't feel it is very terrible.

the worst thing you have to worry about helping her is when she not sick. she will have terrible anxiety and want heroin it will be on her mind 24/7

I've never heard of anyone sleeping through heroin withdrawal. That in a way is a lucky thing cause most people have anxiety so bad they want to die. So good for you really.

just wait until your bold.Thats the most important part of sub recovery..I recommend getting bold everytime the first week of taking subs. You want s××t, piss and sweet as much dope as possible out of you every chance you get.The next week decrease the mg's.The 3rd week dont take a sub a whole day.Might get a stomach pain and a enormous bowl movement and sweet. Take a piece of a sub.just a guarter of a 8mg. Then the rest is up to you.Remember the sub only help you get off of opiates.We have to come up with solutionsto help ourselves also. Its only been 3 days for me but i feel awesome.

Umm yea you can ween yourself off with suboxone. It will probably take longer than 3 to 4 days. I'd say you could do it in a week or a week and a half. Not 3 months. Granted your still going to feel fatigued and maybe have some muscle aches for a few days after you take the last bit of suboxone, but you just got to tough that out. Its better than the dope sickness. These people are just ridiculous about it and want to come off dope not feeling a thing. Your going to have a period of feeling like s***. There is no way around it. It's just the level of s***tiness you feel what symptoms of s***tiness you have. I weaned off subs in a week after a 9 month run of taking 25 to 30 bags of dope mixed with coke a day. For about 5 days after I took my last bit of subs I had very low energy, my muscles ached, and my head was foggy. But it was better than cold turkey.

I was on a heroin habit of between 4to8 bags a day,used my saved up suboxone tabs to detox,took 10mg for two days,then 8mgs for three,then 6mgs for 4days,then 2mgs for a week,and eventually chucked it altogether but I had to make sure I ate well and often as I believe when addicted to anything you're diet suffers which results in you're general wellbeing suffering n then we all put it down to rattling,eat better,get some form of excersice n tr n sleep,tire yourself out,it wont b easy but u can do it,believe me if I can,you can.good luck.

I've been on heroin for 1 year maybe more, but prior to that I was on 6-10 30mg IR oxy a day and went to black because the blues weren't giving me relief, just keeping me from withdraw. I was taking anywhere from a half gram to a gram a day of black and that was everyday. Now it's been 7 days since i last dosed and I've only taken 1 8mg suboxone strip and a half of a 8 MG subutex pill. I created my own dose... I figured out how much my body needed and made them 2 last for 7 days. I thought this would never happen. I'm very proud of myself and hope anyone out there trying to quit reads this. You have to be ready to quit. You have to cut all ties related to your D.O.C. Most important one is you have to want to quit. For yourself, no one else.

I took last H dose last night at 8pm.. 4 east coast 0.1mg stamps daily habit for last 3 months. I cut into 8 pieces a 8mg suboxone and took 2 pieces at 11am this morning-15 HOURS after my last dose of H (it's 6pm now). When I took the 2 pieces at 11am I was already in preety bad shape with moderate to kind of severe WD's. I know that not only from sweating like crazy and all the rest stuff but also because I'm not able to read on my iPhone anymore. It felt like looking at the sun, like looking straight to a car's headlights kind of thing. So I knew WD's set in and it was safe to use SUBS without the fear of precipitated WD's. It took about 30 minutes and I was able to look at my phone again and actually be able to use it and read. Around 1pm I was feeling no WD's anymore. Now it's 6pm and still normal. Bottom line all I'm trying to do is to REPEAT the success I had 3 years ago when I also had relapsed. Having ONLY ONE SUBOXONE (I'd feel more safe having 2 subs but I couldn't find more than one, nor that I wanted to find more than 2 strips). Why only 2? Because after lots of trial and error between friends and acquaintances I realized that anything more than a week of use can backfire. But let me speak for myself only. What I did before worked and what I'm about to repeat is 2 pieces (out of the 8mg) the first day, then 1 piece for next each 3 days, then SKIP the 5th day, then resume for following 2 days (6th & 7th day), then SKIP the 8th day, then CUT THE LAST PIECE IN HALF. Take one of the half the 9th day, SKIP THE 10th day and use my FINAL HALF mg at the 11th, and then jump off... I know that 3 days later around the 14th mild discomfort will set in for a couple days but it's ok (some cheap or fine merlot and a little bit of indices will take care of that). I have been addicted to heroin and am awaiting my doctor's appointment. I don't want to kill myself via od, so I filled a prescription for round white pills with 93 5721 containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine hydrochloride + 2mgs of Naloxone hydrochloride.

I am coming off heroin and I stretched a subutex and a half through 4 days and felt fine. The 1st day or 2 after now it's been a few more days and I'm starting to feel crappy. My legs are bothering me alot I have the bathroom problem but nit too bad and my energy is non existent. Did I just pronlong this? Are the with drawls about t start now? Was the sub pointless?

Do you need to use the word junkie?and i beleive if the persone has only been taken it a short time then u can take a couple of pills a day for 3/4 days as i done it with codine tablets and diazapam

I've been on methadone for four years and was detoxed off in 10 days. Now I'm using heroin, two bags everyday for two weeks. So I finally got into a suboxone clinic. Thursday was my first day without heroin so I took a 8mg/2mg film at six thirty a.m. Friday morning. Thats when the h Withdraws were going on. I waited for two hours. Some of them stopped but I still had them so I use some h about two hours later. Just to take the wd away. My last h use was five pm. Now it's midnight and I'm having wd.should I take another suboxone. Trying not to use h. But I'm sick. If I use h and take a suboxone at eight am. Will I be ok. I just don't want to be sick.

So I have to get the sun. I'm my system before they can work, how long

It would help with the dependency in the short term (keeping you from the dreaded sickness) but three days ain't enough. Then, you have to deal with the addiction after the dependency, which your 3 or 4 days of subs won't help with at all. Make a plan and stick to it. I tried getting off Oxy with Subs and it was completely ineffective. When I finally got sober it was from Oxy, Subs, and Clonazepam because the "doctor" couldn't help me in jail. I would have NEVER got truly clean. I'd still be paying that doctor cash for subs if I hadn't hit rock bottom. Thank God for rock bottom.
