Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 25)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

I'm getting my very first script of the new Rhodes b8's tomorrow.... SO beyond excited.... Purdue owns Rhodes and Purdue is the company that made the very 1st original name brand subutex, so it's no wonder that the b8's are by far the best...

I'll report back with my opinion after trying my first one.... so pumped....

Also, CVS can DEFINITELY order this brand... I use CVS in jersey... you just have to become extra friendly with your pharmacist... I found out from mine that the Rhodes brand costs CVS literally triple as the trash Sun brand...and double the price of the Roxanne and hi-tech brands.... that is the ONLY reason they will not order Rhodes unless they really genuinely wanna do you a favor... because pharmacists make bonuses based off of profit margin... and they are ALWAYS conscious of this fact as they run their counter....

Hope this info helps people and I'll report back with feedback on the b8's asap!

Have a good day!

Does the new Rhodes Subutex have that orange flavor added? I take the Roxanne brand because it's the only one without that flavor, which gives me wicked headaches, but no one seems to know if the Rhodes brand does or not (not even the pharmacy knows!) Rhodes is cheaper and better from what I've read, so I would like to try that but not looking to waste my money on just a few tablets if it can be avoided.

Goozer, hi I have a question for a different topic. U seem very knowledgeable and also will only give your honest opinion. Since its enrollment time for me insurance wise, I had to put all my medications in to see what is covered tier wise..so my amitriptyline 100mg x1.. is considered a preferred genetic tier 4, they tell me I can drop my medacine to a tier 2 if I ask my doctor for nortriptyline. It's way cheaper for me..I just don't know much about it. I did Google it but I still don't understand the difference?? Thx

Re: KS (# 483) Expand Referenced Message

I’ve tried the Rhodes before, it didn’t have that orange taste. It’s very similar in taste (IMO) to 54411 (which I still prefer, but Rhodes is a close second). Hope this helps! :)

Re: Tara (# 485) Expand Referenced Message

Lol Rhodes is made by Purdue, who made the original brand name subutex.... Rhodes is FIRST..then Roxanne is 2nd.... all of the other ones after that are TRASH.

Re: KS (# 483) Expand Referenced Message

Rhodes is the very best generic we have had in a very long time. Its about time. And no Rhodes does not have an orange taste at all
Its very smooth flavor, and melts very well. It's a white flavor I guess kinda like the hikma without the strong bup. Flavor. The thing is I find Rhodes product of bup to be strong, when I take my first one of the day I can go hours into the day before I need my full dose. Like today I should have gotten my script filled 2 days ago mainly out of laziness and a bit busy weekend I have yesterday and today I only took one each day. With any other generic out there I'd be crawling out of my skin and I'm very surprised with my results I did absolutely fine..so to me they feel 2 x stronger. That's my honest opinion. And thanks to goozer for putting his blog out here for knowledge that's how I came across this generic in the first place. Thumbs up to goozer..

Re: 2thless (# 482) Expand Referenced Message

I have to say I'm pretty close with my pharmacy and they told me the new Rhodes generic version is very cheap for them to order around $2 something a pill.and I'm not sure but the original brand name subutex was not put out by Purdue-rhodes, I cant spell it until I log out here . But I will check that for u. Thx for your input on goozer blog

Re: 2thless (# 482) Expand Referenced Message

My small mom n pop pharmacy that I got to order my Rhodes said they are a very affordable generic to order from like $2 something a pill. And another pharmacy Also said it's a very good generic and very affordable. I could not get any chain pharmacy in my area to order it from because usually CVS, Walgreens, Walmart they all seem to basically get the same cheap generic in the cheapest they can..I don't like chain pharmacy's anyway..it says that reckitt & colman, now rickitt..Benckiser..put out the first buprenorphine.. so I don't think it was Purdue.. anyway it doesnt matter..what matters is we now have a very good buprenorphine and its about time. They are very smooth tasting and dissolve somewhat fast..I have tried every generic even original brand name subutex since 2005..the only two I will except is the hikma or Rhodes. But its Rhodes for me..I should have gotten my script filled 2 days ago, out of laziness I waited for today..I only took one yesterday and today. On any other generic I would have been crawling out of my skin. And I can't believe it I'm fine. It goes to show they have to be best and stronger I just experience they are. Let us know how u liked them. Thx friend

Re: Charlene (# 484) Expand Referenced Message

Sorry for the delay Charlene I can't believe your insurance is marking up your amitriptyline to a tear for that is ridiculous super ridiculous like wow and Nortriptyline for me was much more potent in a negative way than the amitriptyline was that's crazy that they put it out of here for a wow ridiculous. id say new insurance or pay for them but go to do what got to do. let me know if you have any other questions I actually am a professional when it comes to medical insurance and that kind of stuff if amitriptyline works for you than Nortriptyline could be better but me personally I cannot handle either

Re: KS (# 483) Expand Referenced Message

Roxane buprenorphine does not exist anymore they've all been phased out then they transferred to Westward which change the pill chemistry to even worse and non shiny and chalky then Westward sold it to himka which ruined it all. rhodes is same as brand name subutex with ingredients give em a try forsure double potency and longer lasting

I have been getting the 54 411 for over yrs. Just the past 2 months all the pharmacies in my area have been having a hard time keeping them in stock and are on back order.
I ended up having to get the new RP b8 ones for the past 2 months. In my opinion they seem to be just as good as the 54 411.

Re: goozer (# 496) Expand Referenced Message

Thx for your advice on the amitriptyline. For me the down side I'm having is the grogginess. Everyone says it will pass once u get used to so..humm I'm still not sure if I like it. The plus side of the rx is the nerve damage I feel in my facial area stopped hurting..and ya, I agree amitriptyline I thought was old school medacine when I seen tier 4 I was shocked..the nortriptyline is still showing a tier 2..I will check it out. Maybe there is q different generic I can take for the nerve damage. Thx again
