Pristiq is an antidepressant medication.

Information I was able to gather states that nausea is the most common side effect associated with Pristiq.

I suffer form depression but most antidepressents have sexual side affects so I stop taking them and and my depression returns, my Dr. assured me that this prestiq would work for me and I have had no side effects other than weight loss. I think this mite be the drug for me

Hey Dave,

How long have you been taking Pristiq? Sounds like it is getting the job done for you. After you have taken it for a while, that would be great if you can post back how it's working for you; (regarding the minimal side effects associated with Pristiq).

I know that sometimes side effects of a drug can be worse than the initial symptom.

I was on pristiq for two months and had ZERO libido and lost a lot of weight, I didn't want to eat anything. I've been on many antidepressants in the past for many years and have found that they are just a quick fix. My family had gone through all of this with me and feel that this junk is nothing but poison and I'm starting to agree with them. I'm looking into alternative therapies now because if the meds aren't working, why take them? But of course everyone is different.
