I am just curious about your weight and height? I am 5 feet, 95 pounds which is just what I should be for my height (I'm not super skinny/normal). I am 53 and was diagnosed with ADHD but also depression (since I was 40 and went through menapause which is early). Anyway, the dr started me on 5mg twice daily. Nothing happened and I drank a lot of water (I am familiar with the side effects since one of my children was diagnosed with ADHD when she was 12 and takes adderal). Then my dr moved me to 10mg twice daily. Still 10mg with 2 cup of coffee didn't do much--I felt a bit something but it wore off VERY quickly (I would say I get up at 9am and go to bed usually at midnight). Sometimes I wake up earlier. Still I feel like I need more than 10mg---more like double or triple at least in the am. Also, I am starving and eating more than usual---when anything wears off (and I make sure to hydrate and eat again because I know the side effects) I am actually gaining weight on this. Today I tested (without his permission) 20mg in the am. That woke me up better---but again wears off quickly---causing me to eat a ton...then took another dose of 15 mg and again wore off. TEVA brand. What is going on? Do I just have a tolerance for this?

Walgreens in Michigan give the orange ones. So does rite aid. I am also looking for the pink ones. I prefer the pink for some reason. I even like the blue 10 mg better than the orange 30 mg. Odd

Walgreens supplies Tevas generic of adderall 30 mg. It is orange, oval with b 974 on one side and 30 on the other scored side. Hope this helps!

I actually just picked up my 'script from CVS & they ARE the pink ones (30mg.) I normally go to another pharmacy that isn't part of a corporate chain & they are always the orange, I've also been to Walgreens a handful of times & they've been orange as well. This will be my first time talking the pink.

I just started talking adderall. At first I was talking the orange 30 mg. Then I got my next prescription and they gave me the pink round 30 mg. The pink ones really suck. They made me feel awful. You know those caffeine tablets u use to buy at the circle k? That's what they made me feel like. Jittery, nausea, no energy, no nothing. What a ripoff.

My mom, my cousin and I are all on Adderall and I get Teva and so does my cousin and my mom used to get those but she recently switched to the Jewel-osco brand which are round and light colored pink. Jewel-Osco used to carry the darker pink or maybe there were a few light colored red "really don't remember to much" and the old ones were OK but these new ones that they got in which are the light colored pink ones are terrible, they taste awful And they do not work the same at all. My cousin and I did not believe her at first so we traded a days worth and my cousin and I both told my mom that these really suck. Maybe some people like those better but the seven people I know who are on Adderall all like the Walgreens generic brand Teva the most and hate walmarts and Jewel-Osco Brand the most. Teva taste the best and works the best according to the people I know.

The difference between the generic adderall, people think they are all good or all bad...like seeing it out of like a borderline's eye..(joke) Each generic has fillers an binders that affect each person differently, and that is the main reason there are many different review's on this topic all over the board...some say the teva footballs an some say the pink cor pharma, some even say the sadoz...my opinion, being prescribed for the last two years...i have had pretty much every brand of generic...an pink cor pharma is the best...an i just filled a script of them actually, (after reading that they are not making them any longer, apparently they are) 06/07/2017 is the date i filled them...and have filled them each month of the 2 years...(once i got teva footballs) & they were complete garbage...made me feel very ill, it was the fillers to blame they used...again, affecting each person differently...people really need to do their own research instead of "those are junk", uhh no there not junk just because the fillers affected your body in a different way than the next guy?...psh, shake my head..

I like the pink ones better because of the potency but, over time, it's giving me right abdomen problems which are very annoying/uncomfortable. Google aderall and burping. It seems like the fillers on the pink addys mess with the bile in your liver and causes one to burp a lot and have tons of gas...and that eventually leads to abdomen discomfort/pain. =(

The only way to get Adderall is to first make an appointment to see a doctor or psychiatrist. They will ask you about the symptoms you are experiencing and then decide if Adderall is an appropriate medication for you. At this first visit to the doctor it is very important for you to describe with much detail as possible why you believe you need Adderall. You must be careful though...doctors are very suspicious of patients that come in and say "I want to start taking Adderall" especially if you don't explain a few legitimate reasons about why you think you need Adderall. Doctors call it "drug seeking behavior" meaning that you only want the Adderall to use inappropriately or to sell.
If the doctor agrees that your symptoms would benefit from taking Adderall, he then will write you a prescription for Adderall. He'll ask you many questions to determine the correct dosage for you and how many times a day you should take the Adderall. I can't stress enough to you that the first visit it is super important that you make a convincing case to the doctor that you need Adderall. Tell the truth. And give the doctor as many details and examples as possible of what/how you are feeling. That is the first step of the process to getting prescribed this medication.

Where can I get adderall? I would like to start addressing my ADD issues and I believe this medication would help a lot.

Edward,

I need your help, and opinions.

Several questions for you:

Are you of the hyperactive extroverted ADHD variety or of the quieter more introverted Inattentive ADD variety like myself?

My point in asking relates to your reaction to the different generic brands of adderall. Hyperactives usually prefer adderall to be calming as opposed to stimulating.

Inattentives prefer something stimulating to wake up their brains and to increase motivation to complete tasks.

I personally have always preferred the generic forms of adderall that provided a motivational kick. My favorite used to be Corepharma, from 2009 to 2011 it was the best and most consistent generic adderall for my needs, however many hyperactive ADHD individuals hated it because it was too stimulating. They always preferred Sandoz which was very sedating to me... and still is for my purposes.

Fast forward to the past 24 months and I have found Corepharma very sedating, headachey, and with no degree of motivational kick in the 30 or 20 mg tablets regardless of titration in dosage. I am in Arizona so lot distribution could have something to do with it, but I doubt it

With that being said, my point in asking you these questions is to get feedback on how Corepharma worked for you in the 10, 20, and 30 mg tablets...?

I know it has been discontinued but I was curious if you ran into the same problems I did while on Corepharma.

In addition, you recently posted that Teva has changed the 30 mg tablet to a different shape and you also found it to be smoother as well as having a motivational kick??

Please elaborate on this as well as your reactions to Aurobindo, Mylan, Sandoz, and Mallinckrodt.

Did any of those other generics have any improvement in focus, motivation to complete tasks, and a kick in the pants to get things done?

I backed off all Adderall and switched back over to generic Ritalin when Corepharma adderall changed in 2012.

The reason for asking these questions is I am going to fill a new script at another trial run of adderall and am looking for feedback on the current forms of generic adderall.

Lastly when I trialed Mallinckrodt, Sandoz, Aurobindo, and Corepharma none had the degree of push to get things done the way Corepharma used to... And no this isn't a tolerance issue at my end. It's a metabolic one.

Thank you for your time and input.

Best regards,
RQJ

When you post...ask specific questions.
We can't read your mind. What is it you want to know? Being new to Adderall can be intimidating, but it can also be exhilarating. My first two months on Adderall were better than my wildest expectations.
I give you my word, that if your next post has specific questions, I will answer as many questions as you would like to ask. I'm not an expert, but I have spent many hours gathering facts and information about Adderall and I know enough about it to get you started.

Same, but how? I don't know anything about all this and my friend told me to look in this direction for some information. I feel like I just keep saying the same thing over and over

Some pharmacies may have stock shipped prior to may 1st. I spoke directly to the company and they confirmed they have stopped production.

Christie, the reason you got the Corepharma is simply because all of the distribution lots have not been exhausted yet.

Expect the lots of Corepharma generic adderall to be exhausted over the next 60 to 90 days.

I just got my refill 20mg Corepharma IR, and before this rx, I was getting 10mg of Corepharma. I do notice that with the 10mg I felt it kick in around 20 mins. Now with the 20mg. I still haven't noticed any change I've got a headache and just feel like I have dry mouth. :/ if it was discontinued maybe my pharmacy didn't get the memo

I take the pink Corepharma generic 20mg Adderall. I just spoke to the company. They have discontinued their generic Adderall as of May 1st, 2017. What will you do now, those of you that are like me and prefer that generic? I've tried 2-3 of the peach generics and they do not work for me. I have to figure out quickly what generic is the closest to the Corepharma.

Wow it's like reading my own issues. I have ADHD but chronic fatigue is the main reason I need Adderall. I have been diagnosed with the major depressive disorder because my last two years are basically hell. Also been diagnosed with two chronic illnesses (CF is one of the main symptoms). Adderall is saving my life. I mean I can sleep for days even when I take it, but usually it helps. 3x20mg a day. Sandoz (the best). Just tell your doc what you are going through just like I explained it above, maybe. They should understand! If not, find a different doctor. To be honest, without Adderall, my life would be a disaster (if I still lived).

Good luck!

Why are you nervous to discuss your symptoms with the doc? That's what they do...all day.
Your recent post comes across as sincere and honest. Be the same in the doc's office. My advice is that preparation eliminates much stress and fear. Write down the main talking points you want the doc to hear. Then once you get in front of that doc and the door closes....TALK. More words are better than less. And don't always let the doc steer the conversation to what he thinks. Stand your ground and make good points. Ask questions that your doc can't answer with a yes or a no.
Tell the truth. Don't leave out parts you think are unimportant.
My doc was impressed the first time I came to an appointment with a legal pad full of questions. And since then...she treats me with more respect and professional courtesy.
