David Says:

The Oxycodone that Karen is describing is in fact a 30mg tablet, manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc.

For further verification, the National Drug Code (NDC) is:

It's important to know that medications can affect everyone differently, where as some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it just doesn't work the same for. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it and be your own best judge.

In general, when you switch brand names, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other (even if they are both Oxycodone 30mg), due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves.

The Inactive Ingredients found in this particular pill are as follows:
microcrystalline cellulose
lactose monohydrate
corn starch
silicon dioxide
stearic acid

Maybe you can compare this with the ingredients found in other Oxycodone tablets to see what does or doesn't work for you.

I hope this helps!

I just filled my medicine today and was given these for the first time. They do work for me this far. They seemed to take a few minutes linger but they work. Mylan has made other Meds I have taken over the years and usually are a good brand. As David said the binders do male a difference. So far mallinkrodt, actavius, kvk-tech seem to work good for me. The older ethex brand used to work well and others said it did not for them. Qualitest is my least favorite. It seems I need to take double the amount of those so I never get those because its a waste for me. I take them orally, I don't snort them or any crazy stuff and that's my experience so far. And yes they are 100% real, white with 114 printed on them. Also the bigger 224 brand works for me, others have complained of those too. Most complainers of those snort them because they are bigger, more filler for them to consume. The qualitest brand it seems most people like to shoot those up, why I don't know bit on a few websites I have seen people go crazy over them. I have yet to ever have a brand roxicodone, or the cora pharm, they have cor and some numbers printed on them. I have also never had the new ones made by Rhodes.

This has also applied with my soma, lortab, percocet, and valium. The Watson and qualitest soma work good for me. The mallinkrodt lortab is horrible for me for some reason along with their percocets. Si if one doesn't work for you another might. I know walgreens usually carries the activus oxycodone, cvs qualitest or mallinkrodt, sams club kvk-tech, kroger the mallinkrodt or activus. It depends on your area and the distributor, or whatever they order. Rite aid gets the activus and mallinkrodt. Don't hold me to this 100% because it can change. I know they can order most anything so who knows.

The distributors for them are cvs, walgreens, kroger, publix use cardinal health, wal mart, sams club, rite aid use mckesson. I know walgreens said they can order Rhodes or kvk tech so just ask you pharmacist. If need be get the ndc number from the fda website to male it easy for them to find. Good luck.

I've taken probably every known type of Oxy's 30mg. I've realized the tiny blues seem to work faster, but they ALL provide relief from my cancer pain that I occasionally need. I have noticed if I'm not on my chemo, and I'm able to eat a high protein snack BEFORE I take the Oxy, the Oxy works faster and pain relief lasts longer by up to a full hour more. I mentioned this to my oncologist and he said the Oxy binds to high protein or fatty proteins and Purdue actually mentions this in their propaganda. I never have to take more than 3 per day if I eat first. I hope it helps alleviate your agony as well.
