I have had 6 back surgerys with pins,screws and many of fusions.over the past 5 years or more have been on oxycodone 10-325 4 to5 times a day. Now with new pain management on 5-325 oxycodone 2 a day for break through and 15 mg morphine sulfate every 12 hrs. In pain consistently. What should I suggest to help get out of this constant pain?

@Roy,

Sorry to hear about your situation... There are stronger pain meds outside of Oxycodone and Morphine (such as Fentanyl and Dilaudid) however it may only be a matter of time before tolerance becomes an issue if anything stronger is taken long term; at which point there really isn't much else I can think of in the realm of prescription drugs other than perhaps Gabapentin or Lyrica and those are generally for neuropathic pain if I'm not mistaken, so I don't know how their pain relieving effects would scale in comparison to that of an opioid/opiate.

There are also plant based alternatives like Kratom, Cannabis, Turmeric, Magnesium and others that could potentially be beneficial adjunctively...

I hope this helps!
