My lisinopril nctz tab 10-12-5 is a blue hexagon manufactured by Lupin. I am itchy everywhere and wondered what the fill was. I used to take the pink one with no side effects but my pharmacy changed mfg. is nickel or anything like it used as a filler? ## Hi, I wish someone would respond to your question because I just started taking the exact pill yesterday and my skin is crawling. ## What are the markings on the tablets in question? I'm sorry, but this additional information is needed, in order to provide you with information on the inactive ingredients. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. ## Generic prescriptions sometimes change the inert in...

I found some white pills amongst other benzodiazepines in a drawer at a friends house and I'm having trouble distinguishing them. ## I've scoured the internet for this pill. and the only one that fits the description is a german version of clonazepam (antelepsin). However, that pill seems to have beveled edges. The one I have is smooth with 20 on one side and a scored on the other side so that it can easily break in half. I was told it is 2mg clonazepam. I am not able to confirm because I cant find an online source for its description. ## I searched for this same pill, that I found on my dresser. I came up with 20mg Lisinopril, which has I am prescribed, but never remember them being white. It is for high blood pressure. But it is white, round with 20 on one side and a score mar...

I woke up 3 nights ago with both arms covered by what appeared to be mosquito bites. I was mystified, nut thought it might be poison ivy. The next morning, I called my BCBS hotline, who identified this an allergic reaction. I called my doctor, who took me off of lisinopril and wnats me to try taking nothing for a week, then start 2.5 mg amlodipine if necessary. I have minor rash (itchy) on my legs every morning. How long will this continue? I stopped taking fish oil, a recent addition, in case this was the culprit. I also got a severe rash from hyzaar blood pressure medecine. I have also been taking very low doses of xanax for a year now. ## Unfortunately, allergic reactions are always possible, and if you've had a reaction already to a medication, in the past, there is a good chance...

Has anybody experienced anxiety, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and abdominal pain after starting Lisinopril? Note that I have never had problems with anxiety and do not believe it is a panic attack. Did not have this issue until on this medication. ## Lisinopril is commonly used to help lower blood pressure. These could be the signs of a serious adverse reaction, you need to contact your doctor immediately. ## I have constant anxiety. Feeling of doom. Cough. Body tingles. Trouble sleeping because of the anxiety. ## The Lisinopril can cause this, it is rare, but highly possible. My doctor recently had me try it and I experienced severe problems, as well. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? There are other medications you can try. ## After starting Lisinopril my husbands pers...

I have come to think the extreme anxiety depression heart palpitations and tingling in my left fingers are related to the 20 mg lisinopril I started just over a year ago. I also take amlodpine and warfarin ...I cant believe it took me so long to suspect this. I will speak to my doctor but also want to see what those who quit lisinopril have to say about the weaning period and side affects while cutting down and quitting . Please advise. This is horrible beyond anything I have ever experienced. Please help if you can ! ## Sorry, I just saw this post with more details. In this case, since you are on several medications, it is hard to say which one might be causing your symptoms, if they are due to a combination of them, or if they may be unrelated. As to stopping Lisinopril, sometimes if ...

Can some one tell me what to expect when weaning off of 20 mg Lisinopril...am down to 15 mg now no effects but now trying to go to 12.5 and today is first day and seem to be having some effects of being hot and feeling like i want to panic. I have been on it for 14 months for blood pressure . can any one advise how to wean off I just plan on 2.5 mg cuts every 10 days or so unless I get better advice ? ## Why are you stopping it? Has your doctor approved your doing so? If you were taking it for high blood pressure, you shouldn't stop without a physician's approval, because if it's the only thing controlling your blood pressure, it will become elevated, again, even if you taper off of it slowly. Are you monitoring your blood pressure and heart rate?

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE INFO ABOUT CYNAPRIL? SUPPOSEDLY A NATURAL DRUG? I have two enlarged adrenal glands with a benign tumor on my let adrenal. This cause my blood pressure to spike to numbers like 239 over 130 at times I COULD NOT EVEN TALK ON THE PHONE WITHOUT HAVING IT SPIKE. Naturally after seeing the infomercial about Cynapril I wanted to try it. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE TRIED IT AND WHETHER IT WORKS? I'M ON A LOT OF MEDICATION AND DON'T WANT DRUG INTERACTION... ## Were you perhaps referring to Lisinopril? It is also available under the name brands Prinavil, Zestril, and Qbrelis. It is used to treat high blood pressure and may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, hypotension, and increased urination. As to whether or not you would experience a drug ...

I too just received the refill for my Mom's 10 mg Lisinopril tabs from Lupin Pharmacy, and have discovered they are half the size of the ones she has been taking for years. She is 93 years old, is very feeble, and uses a walker to get around. I am extremely concerned about whether or not to give her these new pills as I have read all the side effects people are experiencing. If she was to get dizzy or lightheaded the results could be disastrous. Does anyone have an alternative to this brand that may still be the same as the old larger Lisinopril tabs? ## I started the new pills a few weeks ago. I ended up in the hospital with blood pressure 201/103 which is stroke and heart attack level. Something is wrong with these pills. I have taken lisinopril for many years and never had any iss...

I've been taking lisinopril 20mg for more than 20 years. I have had side effects that come and go, such as coughing, lightheadedness, and dizziness. But now I have lightheadedness and dizziness all the time. Frequent urination, legs are weak, sometimes when I am walking I feel like I am going to pass out; and ED problems. I spoke with my doctor and he told me to stop taking it. I stopped taking it one week ago. My bp is 135/75. My question is how long will these side effects last before they go away? Thanks. ## Hello, Luis! How are you feeling? After being on it for so long, it may take a month, or so, before these effects go away and for you to start feeling better. As reported by the FDA, you may also start experiencing some rebounds effects, such as elevated blood pressure and he...

My 50 lb dog ate Lisinopril tablet. Will it hurt her? ## I'm sorry, but I don't know what most human medications will do to animals. Many human medications are also used in dogs and since Lisinopril is used to help lower blood pressure, it could have an effect on hers and may make her ill. Have you contacted a vet? You should definitely watch for signs of problems, such as lethargy and vomiting. ## My dog about 80 pounds got my bottle of lisinopr/hydrochloride hiazide tab 20-25mg. Not sure how many he ate but by counting I think it was about 3. ## Useless site...Severe lack of info...should not waste time in emergent situation to get any help with this particular problem.

I have a very bad case of dry mouth. I think it is the lisinopril that is causing it. It is the only common denominator. I started having this issue in March. I have researched dry mouth over and over again, and the only factor that includes me is a side effect from the medicine. No other cause of dry mouth affects me. I am diabetic, but my numbers are always good. So I have a few questions: 1. Are there any cases of dry mouth caused by lisinopril? 2. Can someone be taking a medicine like lisinopril for a while (two years) before the effects show up? 3. If I go off the lisinopril, how long until the dry mouth goes away? 4. If I go off the lisinopril is there an alternate hypertension medicine that will work? Thank you for your time. ## Hello Rob, According to the NIH dry mouth is listed...

I started taking lisinopril a couple of years ago. I never really got the cough. However I got acid reflux that was debilitating. I was prescribed pantoprazole for that. I hate the long term side effects and was looking for an alternative - and wondering how I suddenly got reflux. I stopped the pantoprazole two weeks ago and am coping with apple cider vinegar. After some research it seems that lisinopril can cause stomach issues. So I stopped that yesterday and am drinking hibiscus tea instead. Has anyone else had acid reflux disease as a result of lisinopril? ## Hello, Gerdie! How are you doing? Most prescription medications can cause acidity issues as a side effect, according to the FDA. They can often be mitigated by making sure to take them with food, or by taking an antacid with th...

Does anyone know if these two products are safe to take together? I asked this question before I ordered it and was assured it was ok. However, I just took my first dose and read the back label (I know....I should have doubled checked first). It states it's 'not intended' for people with high blood pressure! Ugh! Now I'm trying not to stress out so my BP level won't go up. Any information would be helpful! ## I am sorry, I really understand your concern. Being a heart and blood pressure patient myself, I have found myself in that same boat a few times, sometimes it is iffy knowing what we can and can't take. However, from what I can find, the NIH reports TruVision as being a manufacturer, not the name of one specific product. They make several natural supplements...

white pill ## What does 20/12.5 mg mean? ## The pill you have is Lisinopril (20 mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg). To answer your question, the two numbers simply stand for the milligram of each ingredient. These two drugs are respectively a combination of a diuretic and an ACE inhibitor, to control hypertension. You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you. ## can this pill be cut in half if too strong ## I would check to see if there is a score line on the pill. I have been taking Sandoz lisinopril 40mg oval pink pill for many years imprinted with E104 and my BP has been stable. Now the pharmacy changed it to the round lisinopril 40mg pink pill imprinted with same E104. My blood pressure is not being maintained now it fluctuates all over the place. I take it daily. Are there different fillers or inactive ingredients that is not agreeing with my system? I am a registered nurse so I know this is not the norm. ## Hello, Veletta! How are you? Actually, fluctuations are normal and you should see them, especially if you have caffeine, engage in physical activity or etc. For instance, if you're working and on your feet all day, it should be slightly higher than it is later, when you're home and at rest. This is true for any active person. The ...
