I Got Off Opiates In One Day With No Withdrawals

I was fighting cancer and ended up hooked on opiates. I had been taking oxycontin, dilaudid, percocet, hydromorphone, you name it, for years. I needed to keep taking higher and higher doses because i had developed a resistance to the drugs and they stopped working. A few years into my fight i caught a break and my cancer went into remission. I started to recover and most of the bone pain issues began to fade. I didn't need the opiates anymore but I was hooked. I went to the doctor for a cessation plan and he gave me a taper down schedule from long acting oxy to short acting percs then finally tapering to nothing. It was going to be a slow, painful, draw down. I started the plan and quickly came unglued at the seems. I had been fighting a painful cancer for years and now I had to deal with a horrible withdrawal. I fought with it for a while and went back to the doctor and explained that I just couldn't deal with anymore pain and suffering. He suggest methadone or soboxone. If i took either of these drugs i would be throwing in the towel and just accepting that i will always be taking theses nasty drugs. I didn't want that, i want off. I did some research on the internet and found a drug called Ibogaine. At first I thought it was just another scam. I read all kinds of posts about bad experiences people had with the drug. Not to mention, its illegal in the US. I wasn't about to give up on it that easily. So I found a reputable clinic in Costa Rica that treats hundreds of patients a year and contacted them directly. There are other clinics i found in Mexico that were legitimate but i chose Costa Rica for some specific reason that i cannot discuss here.

The clinic was a medically supervised operation with nurses and cardiologists on staff to make sure things were safe. My research showed that trying to use ibogaine by myself would be a sure way to get a negative result and would be extremely dangerous. The doctor told me that if I passed their preliminary medical reviews I could be treated with ibogaine and in one 24 hours procedure be free of my addiction to opiates with no withdrawals or cravings. At first I didn't believe it was possible. But to make a long story short. I flew to Costa Rica and checked into the center . The first day they did ekg's and watched all my vitals. The nurses were nurses from the countries main hospital and were in uniform. It wasn't some half baked operation. They stayed with me 24/7 never leaving my side for 3 days. The second day they allowed me to begin to feel withdrawals and once I started to sweat they began the treatment. They administer 1 ibogaine pill every hour for a seven hour period. In the first hour, after the first dose, the symptoms of withdrawal completely faded away never to return. (I swear) The second hour through the 7th hour, I experienced mild hallucinations that looked like a replay of my life's memories. It was wild, at no time was my thought process impaired. I had perfect clarity through the whole process. It was amazing. At hour 7, i feel into a dream state and remained there for another 7 hours. That experience would require a huge description that I must skip here. It was the most peaceful thing i had ever experienced in my 50 years on this earth.

It wasn't scary or anything but it was intense. Once I woke from the dream state I felt kind of crappy for a day but at no time did i have any withdrawal symptoms or cravings. On day three I felt great. I had energy and was drug free for the first time in years. I spent a few days with the staff in Costa Rica and then flew home. The effects of the ibogaine stayed with me for months . I didn't feel any depression or anything for the following year. It was amazing. There is so much more that i could share about my experience but I just want to let others know that there is an alternative to the typical painful draw down and all the jonesing that goes with it. I got off the drugs in one day and that's a fact. It was a trip, literally, but i only had to deal with it for a single day and then i was free...I did the NA thing and the counseling and the acupuncture and the biofeedback and the diet and I removed the stress from my life to try to get off the opiates and all those things "helped "but in the end Ibogaine worked like a charm and i was in and out of the clinic in 7 days. Make no mistake Ibogaine wont fix an addictive personality. Its not going to cure that definition of addiction. It cures the part that gives you the withdrawal. It gets you off the drugs and stands you up and dusts you off. At that point you can choose to be drug free or return to misery. Don't think its a magic bullet cure for addictive behavior, its not. But if there was such a thing as a magic bullet ibogaine would definitely be it, in my humble opinion. I would never suggest that this is for you. And I'm not trying to push a product. I'm simple telling people that I found a real alternative that worked for me. I met others at the clinic that had similar out comes. An airline pilot, Stanford graduate in code writing, a contractor working on a high speed rail, a junky from Oahu. All these people knew about this and i had no idea... Thank God I found it. Its been 24 month since my treatment and i am clean and feel good. I'm not giving anyone advice. Please don't take my word for anything, research it for yourself. That's what i did.

Roxi I knew about this treatment 10 years ago . Its a shame that people don't know about it. I was hooked on opiates after a back surgery and when the doctor moved me to methadone I found myself hooked even worse. When my back finally got better I went to Mexico and had an ibogaine flood and in 5 days I was home totally clean with no withdrawals. Methadone and soboxone are a joke. Just the industries way of keeping you hooked .
