I've been taking percocet 10/650's for 6 years because I crushed 2 vertebrae in my back. The doctor removed the extra rid men have on my left side and cut it up and fused it together to make me two new vertebrae and had to have 4 titanium screws a 4 inch titanium plate and a 1 inch circle in the middle of my spine put in my back to hold them together. It's a miracle that I can still walk. The only reason I can is because the 2nd best back surgeon in the world performed surgery on me. I was in a coma for 8 days and thank God everyday that I'm still here.
Regarding how long the drug stays in your system it depends on how much body weight you have, how long you've taken them, your metabolism and how many you take per day. Sometime's it takes to 4 days but, if you drink lots of water days before your drug test it should only stay in you system for around 24 hours or a few more. I assume you're wanting to know because you have to take a drug test. Or maybe you're just curious. I wish you the best of luck on passing your drug test if that's the case and rec emend you always find out how long the drug you're taking stays in your system before you consume another one that may cause you to fail it and possibly go to jail if you're on probation. yes... if you read my original post... my mom accidentally gave me my dad's generic percocet 5's 2 times...instead of giving my my hydrocodone 5s... it was a honest innocent mix up.. she had the bottles setting right beside each other, and even the generic percocet was oblong like a generic vicodin... totally innocent mistake.. not because i "abuse' drugs...

It does depend upon two items. 1. the strength or dose of the oxycodone you are taking and the frequency and 2. the testing method and its sensitivity.

I have had similar surgery, but lost two ribs and have no feeling from the hips down and spend most of my days confined to a wheelchair.
My answer is still as above, based on my credentials as a Senior Scientists and Director for a major pharmaceutical firm, however knowing nothing else I would concur with most replies that 4-5 days would be a good assumption (only).

......or they do have a prescription but would rather their employer not know, for fear they may lose their job. in my case I would rather not let any new employers know that I have a condition that requires a pain med because they may think I am unable to perform the job duties and just not hire me.

This is to Desperate, there might be a way you can combat the emotional pain that you are having in your stomach with anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills. I was having some of the same problems, but with a low dosage of the prescription 'Celexa' it helped me. Another thing you could try doing is getting out in the sun more and exercise-get your blood flowing and oxygen circulating through your body, both increases your body's natural levels of melatonin. I'm not saying go outside for a fast paced jog or run or to go into the gym and pump iron but instead take a nice stroll in the fall sun, adding some form of aerobics to your daily schedule might help your problem naturally, and cost you nothing.

As stated in my prior post, Oxycodone is detectable in a urine screen for approximately 4 days, after taking it.
However, there is no hard and fast rule for the time frame, because individual factors are going to have bearing on how long it is detectable, such as your own metabolism, activity levels, overall health and etc.

If that's all you're experiencing, you're very lucky. I was addicted taking up to 80-160mg of oxy a day. I had the shakes, sweats, diarrhea, vomitting, cold sweats, hot flashes, constantly uncomfortable. Lasted about a week straight then slowed down. Yes, you're having detoxing symptoms, just be thankful they're not that bad. Oxy is something you're not supposed to quit cold turkey, because it is a raw form of heroin in a pill form. If you cook it down, it's the purest form of heroin you can get. So detoxing is dangerous cold turkey. Good luck, and I wish you the best ! I'm loving my life sober now for 2 years !! But if you need it, then you need it. If you have to have it, just try to cut back. Not take too much daily! I wish you the best on your recovery !!
