I had one vicodin the night before a drug test and this was my first time taking one in a week. Will it show up in my urine test?

i have a doc app friday and i took a half of vicondin this evening will it show up in my urine

i am prescribed lortab 10/500mg 4 times per day. i recently had to take a urine drug test for court due to a divorce. Somedays I take more and some days less depending on my pain. If I took 8 tabs the day before before 7pm and 2 tabs at 6am would they know if I am overusing.

I am taking a pre- employment drug screen 10 panel for a medical job with a well-known Corp. I have chronic djd and occasional migraines. I have been seeing. PM M.D. for. 3 plus years. I take (prescribed) norco 5 &(7.5 for extra pain) any where from QD - QID.. rarely the later. If I don't take at least 1 in a 12-16 hour period...I begin the withdrawel symptoms, which as anyone who uses this med even as prescribed for consistent time ( months; years) knows is quite uncomfortable. I have know for about 6 weeks in advance about our group being taken over by this Major Medical corp so I began a weening process. I am stuck at no less than 1-2 in a 24 hour period, meaning I have been waking up at 4 am and will take a 1/2 (2.5 mg) then take the other 1/2 around 7:45am. By about 6-7 pm my body tells me to take a 5mg. So I do and I'm comfortable until that 4 am wakes me up. I have been in this mode for over a week. The previous weeks I had tapered 2-3 tabs in 24 hours @ spacedIspaced intervals. It is Sat. a.m. and the drug test is Wed 9 a.m. I don't abuse but this companys manual that we were all given states: no person shall be permitted to possess or have in their system any illegal or controlled substance. I took what I am planning my last one at 12:30 today Sat until After the drug test Wed. I am still planning on disclosing my meds list on the form and not chancing it being out of my system on "time" just for the test. I am 49. 5' 3"... very physically fit and dring plenty of H2o every day. Im wondering do I have to put myself through this or is it just going to show up positive because it doesnt matter whether its been 10days, 5 days, 3 days, or 24 hours. I even had my PM MD write a letter/ statement verifying that I take 7.5 up to 4 x day for *listed conditions and diagnoses. My PM M.D. has not once drug tested me in the 3 plus years I have been their patient and I signed a contract in the very beginning. I regularly Rf the rx at practically the same time and same pharmacy every month..sometimes a week or so past the 30 day supply rule. I am the angle of compliance!. What resultscan I expect from weds test....half of our staff discussed this that we all take one or more controlled drugs for our various ailments. I seem to be the only one really concerned. Am I overly analyzing and worrying. I have been at my present medical job 9 year years and am a college degree'd person..you don't get straight A's..honors and still continuing your education at night college while working full time days to better yourself (RN school) if yoy are abusing drugs. Its too bad they don't have all the details. So I am concerned. Any and all suggestions and comments welcome ASAP. Thanks :)

Don't be fooled in the year 2014 on this topic. If one is in pain management, they are using the highest and newest technology available and looking for nano-grams and of course; hydrocodone comes out as another drug in testing but will prove there was that given drug in the system up to seven full days now! This is not something one can do anything at all to get out of the system in 48 hours anymore so forget that. The best is a little over 78 hours if one is jogging miles a day, has fast matab and all the things a drug addict or person in real pain will not have or be doing.

This drug is used in the States to treat acute or chronic pain only and in pain management is for chronic for diseases like cancer, MS, Parkinson's or other serious illnesses and is not addictive in those patients but there is tolerance that can be taken care of. Those not in need will become addicted in ten days and either go broke, get sick or eventually into trouble or death so never do it even for a one time thing because it harms you, those in real need and the doctors. It makes you a burden on the entire system until we go with the Portugal Plan which is the only drug plan that works since war on drugs failed by 1975 after Nixon not Reagan started it.

That being said; in parts of Europe this drug is often used to treat depression since it is an antidepressant but not classified that way in the States or Canada. The dangerous ingredient in it is being lowered and will eventually be taken out and replaced with less dangerous things. It was placed in there to kill addicts but that is not public info online or even known by most doctors in the States but in Germany they sure know it.

Best advice is if one wants to get high, buy booze if legal age.
