Help - False Positives
UpdatedI have been a Methadone patient for nearly 8 years and took about 2 months to get clean upon starting treatment. For nearly 7 years I've been at monthly take-homes. I've never used again nor had another dirty drug screen. Let me say this b/c I think it's part of the problem I'm about to address. I switched to a Crossroads treatment facility about 2 years ago due to moving and have had numerous issues here. The latest is that I had two dirty screens; the 1st showed up suboxone big I didn't confirm it at my counselor's suggestion since I'd never been dirty before. The reason I chose not to it b/c he said nothing could be mistaken for this substance in a drug test. And since they also dose suboxone at this clinic I thought they may have mixed up the drug test with someone else's. Then I trat again and come back with a false positive for amphetamine and muscle relaxers - I have no idea why. Over the past two months I've been sick and been on Amoxicillin, prednisone and albuterol, in addition to daily fish oil, Advil (many days) and simivastin (cholesterol meds). The 2nd test was done orally by the way. I am so upset and at a loss for words. They won't let me pay for blood testing - I thought about going to my regular doctor and getting him to do a blood test, requesting testing on the specific substances. What upsets me so bad is that I had to phase down a level and now I have zero confidence my next screen will come back clean. Seeking any advice and/or explanation that might be able to help me...
