Glucosamine Sulphate related to Sulpha drugs?

I have been having knee problems and my doctor says I have slight cartilage damage which is probably due to osteo arthritis. I am not a big fan of meds, but heard that glucosamine sulphate can be helpful in these cases. My main concern is that I have a severe allergy to Sulpha drugs ( the antibiotics ) and was wondering if the two are related in any way. I would hate to have a reaction from it. As well are there any side effects from Glucosamine sulphate. Someone said it can be hard on your stomach. Is this true? Thank you ## Hello, Elle! How are you? It is a different compound and not a sulfa drug like those that usually spark allergies, so it should be fine, but double checking with your doctor would be a great idea. As listed by the FDA, it isn't known to cause many side effects,...
