I have a tub of Glucosamine Sulphate with expiry Jan 2013. Is it safe to use it still? ## From the information I've found, they just begin to lose potency after the expiration date, but aren't known to become dangerous. So, they may not be as effective as they were, when new. This is just a supplement, but the best thing you could really do would be to dispose of them and just purchase a new bottle. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I am having a packetof glucosamine 1500mg i With chondroitin 1200 mg 0f manufacturing dat 1/15 no expiry is written can i use this packet

I purchased artri help for pain of sciatic nerve. Would this help the pain? I got it at the swat meet in San Fernando ## Are you possibly referring to "arthri d-3"? This arthritis supplement reportedly contains the following list of ingredients (which in my opinion seems like it would be beneficial for reducing inflammation/pain): Vitamin C, D, Magnesium, NAG (N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine), Chondroitin Sulfate, Rice Flour, Tumeric Extract, Boswellia Serrata, Ashwaganda, Yucca (root), Bromelain, Evening Primrose oil, Perna Canaliculus (Green Lipped Mussel), Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate) I haven't researched each individual ingredient, but I know from my own experience that Turmeric, Bromelain, and Yucca, just in and of themselves are excellent treatment options. I am suffering from osteoarthritis of knee I am prescribed celadrin capsules and kondro acute tablets. please let me know how it works in the body and its side effects and precautions if any. ## Celadrin is actually an over the counter supplement that claims to help with joint lubrication. The only ingredients they actually list are Esterified Oils, but they don't specifically say what they are. This also means that the side effect profiles have not been studied, nor have any precautions, since it is not a prescription medication. Kondro Acute contains Glucosamine and Diacerein. The Glucoasmine is another supplement of a substance naturally found in the body. The Diacerein is used as an anti-inflammatory to help treat pain and swelling. I have been having knee problems and my doctor says I have slight cartilage damage which is probably due to osteo arthritis. I am not a big fan of meds, but heard that glucosamine sulphate can be helpful in these cases. My main concern is that I have a severe allergy to Sulpha drugs ( the antibiotics ) and was wondering if the two are related in any way. I would hate to have a reaction from it. As well are there any side effects from Glucosamine sulphate. Someone said it can be hard on your stomach. Is this true? Thank you ## Hello, Elle! How are you? It is a different compound and not a sulfa drug like those that usually spark allergies, so it should be fine, but double checking with your doctor would be a great idea. As listed by the FDA, it isn't known to cause many side effects,...
