I visited a doctor about my knee pain and he told me that i am suffering from arthritis. He advised me to take these tablets: glucosamine, mathylsulfonylmethane & diacerein and calcize. I took at least a month worth and it seems i got red spots all over my back. So please advise whether I can continue to take these tablets? I can not see the same doctor because i am working abroad.

@Peter,

I agree with Susanna that you should take a break from the medication, because it sounds to me like you may be having an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients present in those tablets. If you are allergic to shellfish, then I would strongly recommend stopping the glucosamine, as it is derived from shell fish. On the contrary, I think that MSM is an excellent supplement and most individuals tolerate it well! :)

Do you know what might be causing the arthritis? Perhaps typing on a computer too often without taking breaks? This is more often becoming a common cause of arthritis related conditions, so I thought I'd ask.
