I have my doubts about this one as well, if it is as you describe.

The genuine Alprazolam tablet, which would be a generic for Xanax, is yellow and has the stylized R followed by the numbers 039 all separated by score lines on one side.

Learn more Alprazolam details here.

Is there any chance you could share an image of it?

Pharmaceutical Expert Says:
There are no side effects from a "fake" Xanax. If it is "fake" as you claim, then the pill itself probably contains additives like hydrochloride, sulfur, and yellow coloring thrown together with a pill-stamp of R039. It is HIGHLY unlikely that you found a "fake" Xanax pill. Pharmaceuticals are very difficult to manufacture to be a fake; this would take an extremely skilled chemist to create a fake Xanax pill. Pharmaceutical companies make generics for a reason, some people are allergic to the Brand Name pills because of the additives they put in the pill. A Generic version of the pill has been stripped down to just the main ingredient of Alprazolam HCl (Xanax).

When you see a fake pill, you will know when you see it. They are very easy to spot.

A fake Xanax pill would have discoloration (fading), spotting, badly shaped lettering (imprints), and would have no taste. So, I’m 100% sure that you don't have a fake Xanax pill. As I previously said; there are no side effects to a fake pill, it would be like taking a placebo (sugar pill).

What color is it? The generic Xanax that have an r on it but its like a ribbon are round and they are white, peach, or blue! But they also make klonopin with that same r on it and they are round and the color is yellow or pink or white! Call poison control k!

I am written 90 r039 every month, they are 2 mg xanax or alprazolam - bottom line they are moderate in the way they affect me maybe you are different, but my word, they are legitimate. Some love them, I prefer the green ones myself but yellow r039 are preferred by many.

2 mg alprazolam pills are imitated often in some areas because of black market demand.
If it is fake, yet pharmaceutically active, it could be phenazepam, a somewhat unregulated benzodiazepine. I've heard of instances where illicit users unknowingly took a fake 'bar' with rohypnol in it.
Don't take it if you're not sure what it is.

All u have to do is taste a little piece of the pill (alprazolam has a very bad butter taste) you really can't mistake the taste for anything else.

The yellow scored xanax bar gg249, fake, made me very, very drowsy, I passed out for about 2 hours and had sever anxiety for about 7 hours, family around me said I looked awful. So,bit can definitely have side effects. Maybe different for individual and location of origin.
