I am 58 years old, suffering from IBS and doctor prescribed Colospa retard 200 (1 per day at night after dinner) and Hiact P (2 times per day). After taking these two medicines, I did not feel much betterment. Then I started taking only Colospa retard 200 once a day and after a week I am feeling better and feel like getting rid of IBS. Altogether, I am taking medicine for 5 weeks and doctor asked me to contact again after 6 weeks. Please give your advice.

Pain felt in abdomen (finger tip) right side of navel 6months back and today felt on almost whole abdomen but it is irregular. USG reports as hypoechoic liver lesion but doctor told that pain is not due t this. Had clospa retard, ursoft 300, tryptomer but pain is getting more severe, although bowel movement and appetite are normal. Blood tests showed raised levels of cholesterol and triglycerides but negative for hepatitis b&c. I could not get the right diagnose. Plz suggest

Colospa is for IBS (comes bcoz of stress) and tryptomer is an anti-stress tablet. Unless our stress level comes down, you cannot stop medication. Consult a good MD or Gastro Dr. for a better diagnosis.

I am a patient of IBS for long time and at the same suffering from gastric erosion, loose motion, abdomen pain, gas and reflux. Recently I was suffering from diarrhea and was prescribed Zimigrut 550 (3 times daily for 10 days) and colaspa retard twice daily for 20 days. What happens is that after completion of the course the problem starts and again I have to visit the physician. I there is any medicine which can be taken on a regular basis so that at least I can get some relief? I am now 70 years old.

I'm having pain in the right side of my abdomen. It's been about 3 years. First it was a small pain in my abdomen and then one day my respiratory tract was in pain and if I touch the right side of my lungs or chest, it's really painful.

I saw so many doctors. I have been diagnosed many times. My reports say everything is normal. But my whole right side is paining from my neck to the bottom of my abdomen.

Colospa retard was prescribed along with Rcifax 400, Prepro HS / vibact for my IBS which was diagnosed by a professor of Silchar Medical College 4 years back & I was feeling better & loose motion was totally vanished but if I discontinue taking colospa retard & Rcifax 400, symptoms will start up again & become worse... Now my question is how long should I take these medications?

Colaspa Retard has been the best medicine for my IBS. However in my recent visit to PGMIR calcutta the doc advised me to use Librax instead of Colaspa Retard which actually didn't work as a substitute for Colaspa Retard. Moreover upon discontinuance of Rcifax, my stool changes if I stop ingesting Rcifax & triggers loose motion which does not clear at times in the morning. I don't know how long I will have to take Rcifax for IBS D which doctors have confirmed. Note: Is there not any doctor who can prescribe the right medications in place of Rcifax?

I was advised to take colospa retard twice daily for 2 months. It really feels well while on it and rcifax or ciboz 400, but a few weeks after I started suffering from bowel obstruction and even going to the loo but nothing happens. So pls don't take it for longer times. If u wish to do so, don't do it without your doctor's permission. Sometimes it's necessary for the body to work by itself because colospa retard is a antispasmodic and shouldn't be taken regularly forever. I have gluten and dairy intolerance, along with inflammatory bowel disease.
