Aurobindo Adderall - I Think Its Counterfeit - Does Not Work (Page 2)

Updated

I think Aurobindo adderall is counterfeit.. I've Been on adderall for over 7 years and never ever had this brand and I must say IT DOES NOT WORK..... Its total crap. I have went to my pharmacist and talked to him about this this and he told me to contact the FDA. I sent them an email and called. Please do the same. People need there medicine and this is unfair. Since taking this medicine I have had stomach problem and I dont know what I'm taking. People who have taken adderall from different manufactures know this medication is a fake. Here is the food and drug administration information. fda.gov/AboutFDA/CentersOffices/OfficeofMedicalProductsandTobacco/CDER/ContactCDER/default.htm

Re: Mason (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

It's good to see someone getting the positive effects of Aurobindo like I have. Hopefully you will be able to continue getting those effects and your Pharmacy will keep a consistent batch of that brand in for you. Aurobindo has always been the only adderal that has been amazing for me these past 5 years. This month unfortunately I have been hit with a bad batch from aurobindo that has created nothing but negative horrible side effects. It has stopped me dead in my tracks. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it and hope that it was just a bad batch by the company. I'm trying to find out if it's something I can track down and make sure I don't receive the same batch next time I fill my prescription. Where do you receive your script from? I live in Tennessee and it seems every vendor brings in different batches so it's been difficult finding a consistent pharmacy to fill my script from.

Re: Myrnamouse (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Have you always taken Teva brand Adderall? I take aurobindo adderal which has always been amazing for me but this month I received a horrible batch with complete cloudy side effects. I have no energy and my heart rate is through the roof. How is your energy levels and Clarity on Teva? When I first started taking Adderall in 2012 I was prescribed Teva from Walgreens. It was amazing for two years and then started to not work at all. CVS started carrying aurobindo which I switched to and it was amazing. I've tried taking Teva a few times these past couple years but never felt the surge of clarity and energy that aurobindo would bring, so I stayed with them. After this last batch of adderal I'm looking at going back to Teva but have been curious how the effects are on people now? Would you say that you have great levels of energy and Clarity on the new Teva that you are describing? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I used to get my aurobindo adderal instant release Filled from CVS for years before they stopped carrying it. It has been an amazing medicine. I take the 30 mg round light orange u31 pill twice daily. After they stopped carrying it I've had to have mom-and-pop pharmacies order it in specifically, which has been a hassle. Last month I received a script that was a perfect for the first time in months. I was full of energy, completely alert, and had all the positive effects that adderal is supposed to bring. This month I had to go to a different Pharmacy because the last pharmacist I went to could no longer get any in stock through his vendor. So I found a different Pharmacy on the other side of town that was able to order it in from a different vendor.

Everything about this batch of aurobindo has been horrible. Instead of the usual rush of euphoric energy I typically feel that boosts me into full clarity and a want to conquer the day, I have been hit with nervous jitters, racing heart beat, complete brain fog, paranoia, and zero energy. Which is followed by complete exhaustion. I typically take halves of the medication throughout the day. I tried only taking quarters but still felt the horrible effects. It's stopped my routine dead in my tracks and I'm now trying to figure out how I'm going to get through the month. I had a similar experience three months prior from the 20 ml pills, which were given to me because of the pharmacy didn't have 30 mg in stock. I miss the days of having a consistent supply of my medicine. I've read about aurobindo having these effects on certain people and not being a good medicine for them but It has always worked amazing for me and i never had a problem. I know every brand affects everyone differently but there is definitely something wrong with their batches.

It makes me question now if I should keep trying to get my script filled with or aurobindo or try going back to Teva which I know has been not nearly as effective for me. What is it in this medication that is creating these negative effects? Do you think it's a filler creating these horrible side effects or just a uneven amount of chemicals that weren't mixed correctly in the batch? It would be amazing to find a manufacturer that can supply a consistent batch of adderall that gives me the focus, clarity, and energy boost that my body has been used to for so long. Also which ingredient is it that focuses on the energy boost and clarity that has made adderall such a great medicine? Any input would be great. I'm going to forward this message to whoever else I must in hopes of answers. Aurobindo has always been the perfect generic Adderall for me and I'm hoping to continue using them in hopes that this was just a bad batch. Which generic brand have you found that has given you the most constant results, as well as best positive effects along which I was referring? Thank you for your input.

Every brand effects someone differently. Aurobindo has always worked amazing for me until this month which I received a horrible batch which has given me nothing but horrible foggy side effects.

Re: Jesse (# 21) Expand Referenced Message

I got them filled at Kroger. I got fed up because they weren't doing anything. I ended up taking two 20mg IR sublingually and an hour later swallowed two more 20mg IR with some tums.

HOLY CRAP! 6 hours later I had the most horrific, non-stop, 250 bpm panic attack i've ever had in my entire life. Bad, Bad mistake!! Thank god I had prescribes xanax on hand. After taking 2mg of xanax, about 3 hours later I calmed down. I was sure I was a goner. These auro pills are definitely NOT counterfeit. Maybe super-potent with a delayed onset. NOT counterfeit. In hindsight I think I'll stick with caffeine. Maybe get some bronkaid. Amphetamines are nothing to mess with. What a traumatic experience!!

BTW Jesse I got them at Kroger.

Re: Mason (# 25) Expand Referenced Message

Yup. That's exactly what I'm experiencing. It's been four days now and I'm pushing through. Trying to allow my body to adjust because I need to make them work. Once I get past the initial grogginess in the morning and lack of energy, I am able to move forward and keep going. It is definitely an extreme dose that I'm having to constantly check my pulse. I took soma muscle relaxers the first two nights so I could sleep but it made the cloudy grogginess even worse in the morning. Now day four I'm feeling like my body is adjusting. I'm going to contact my pharmacist so I make sure that I don't get the same batch next month. I will still stick with aurobindo because in my opinion it works amazing for me unlike any other one.

I now go to Walgreens as they still use Teva. I make sure I ask for the manufacturer BEFORE I let them fill my rx. I'm surprised the FDA still lets them sell it. There are tons of fees and document for bogus meds.

Re: Mason (# 25) Expand Referenced Message

Agreed. I got it for the first time yesterday. I take only 10mg IR. Well, they must have had their 10 and 30 batches mixed. I didn't feel anything at first, but then a haze came over me and I thought sh*t it's going to make me tired, which happened with Teva a couple of times (please note, the Teva of the last few months has been good). I got home and felt a surge of very nervous, jittery energy. It was very uncomfortable. Then came the typical stimulant bowel evac, followed by shortness of breath, pounding racing heartbeat, and a total panic attack. I later began to calm, but another surge came over me and the symptoms repeated. I also developed a migraine. I have been on the internet for 6 hours posting things nonstop, writing emails. I took the pill at 4pm 6/28. It is now 6:45 am 6/29 and I CANNOT AND HAVE NOT SLEPT. My heart is beating very hard but not racing. My feet have also been sweating? I did a line of methamphetamine once and stayed awake forever. I feel like this was similar with added panic and anxiety and terribly uncomfortable symptoms. I'm calling my provider in a couple of hours and flat out refuse to take another pill. There must be a massive amount of amphetamine in these 10mg pills. I almost went to the ER. I'm filing a complaint with the FDA. You really think India cares about poisoning us?

Re: Kelly (# 29) Expand Referenced Message

I'm having the same exact negative physical effects and no therapeutic effect at all. I knew it couldn't be just me and I have seen others posting the same. I posted details here in other threads. It's so bad there is no way I can take this and function I will have to do without for the next 3 weeks. I'm prescribed 10 mg, 2x/day.

Re: Penny (# 30) Expand Referenced Message

Penny if you feel as terrible as I do then I feel sorry for you. I managed to finally sleep, but upon waking I felt like a truck ran me over. I still have a bad headache. Like you, I refuse to take one more pill. I called the manufacturer and filed a complaint. The FDA is useless so I was only able to leave a message. I notified my pharmacy and left a message for my provider. I need to find out, if I turn the medicine over to my provider, if I can get a new script. I called a different pharmacy and they have TEVA. This is the worst reaction I've ever had to a medication and I still don't feel completely normal. I will never ever take any medicine by them. They have a shotty history. Shame on the FDA, another useless government agency.

Re: Bunsen Honeydew (# 18) Expand Referenced Message

I'm sure you know Aurobindo was taken off the US market by the FDA from 2006-2013 because of active ingredients 50% or less and contaminants.

Re: Kelly (# 31) Expand Referenced Message

Yes me too. I'm going to keep a few for the record and give the rest back to the pharmacy. I have a long relationship with them going back several years and no issues so I'm thinking that having almost an entire month left will raise a red flag so that they will look into it. I'm also going to see if there is a way to have them tested for correct ingredients in type and amount, I would really like to know what I was putting into my body.

Do you still have them? There's a lab that can test them.

Funny how people will say what doesn’t work. Of course I find that helpful, but what about sharing which generics people have had success with....and, yes....I know we are all different.

Re: Carolyn P (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

Wallgreens here is the only chain that carry Teva. That’s all I will buy too. The little M tables are awful as well. They don't feel weak like Aurobindo, just like an inconsistent strength.

Counterfeit from a pharmacy? Unlikely. The potency of ingredients in the chemical compound is not the same as brand name .
