blue, oblong, v on one side, 5812 enscribed on other side - found in my younger sisters room - she does not have a script - parents want to know what it is before they confront her ## V 58 12 is a form of muscle relaxer. typically prescibed for patients with back pain. ## Completely INCORRECT This is not a muscle relaxer. V 5812 is from Qualitest Products, this is Salsalate 750mgs. Salsalate is a generic for Disalcid an anti-inflammatory drug that helps to reduce pain by reducing associated swelling and inflammation. Now, the reason your sister probably had it is that many people are of the mistaken belief that the V on it stands for Vicodin. Many people do not realize that it is just a company logo and does not stand for a drug at all. ## I found an oblong shaped blue pill that has 750...

can these 2 medicans be taken togeather safely/with out problems... if taken off them will it cause side effects?? please answer ASAP.. my husband is in prison and they have took him off his medications...HELP..SINCERLY MAGGIE ## Maggie, Both the medicines Indomethacin and Piroxicam are used to reduce pain caused by arthritis or other similar conditions. They are considered 'anti-inflammatory' medicinces. I know that there can definitely be some nasty side effects if someone is taken off Indomethacin abruptly - the body basically becomes dependent on it once somebody is on a regular regimen of it. I would definitely have a pharmacist verify this since it could possibly be considered abuse if they took away his meds. He could be dizzy, drowsy, and who knows what else. This doesn&...

Is anything out there to help/ ## Vioxx was the only drug that relieved my arthritis pain. Since it's off the market now, my doctor prescribed MOBIC, but after taking it 4-1/2 mos., on May 12th, I hemorrhaged severly and ended up in the hospital for 11 days; lost 15 lbs., had many blood transfusions, and was basically bedridden until mid-July. It's has caused several other medical problems, a few that even required surgery! I'm still fighting the battle, and my doctor says it will be a year before I'll get over this. Ultracet doesn't seem to relieve osteoarthritis pain; neither does Tylenol for Arthritis. I have a hard time sleeping, and Tylenol PM doesn't seem to do much for that. My doctor says I cannot take Ibuprophen, Aspirin, or any anti-inflamatories. But I...
