Hello, I took 50mg to help me stop drinking alcohol and/or drink less. The first time I took it I became very dizzy, irritable and had a throbbing headache. I definitely didnt want to drink but I also don't want to feel like that again. Is it possible that the dosage is too high. Should I try taking a lower a dosage? Its been five days since I took it and Ive tried drinking and can only have one or two drinks and then I don't feel like drinking and thats just from that one 50mg pill. Several years of pain meds for back and neck joint deterioration. My Dr. has told me I will soon no longer receive pain meds. Due to a Government Mandate I will go thru a 90 day period where the meds will be slowly reduced. I will be given Naltrexone to help with with withdraws. Is this true? Is our Government sticking their nose into private people's quality of life? How is it possible to assume my joint deterioration problem has gone away? I was recently prescribed 50mg Revia. I'm currently in the 25mg period with 4 days to go until I begin the full dosage. Before this, I was taking 125mg L-dopa/velvet bean extract (800mg) plus 400mg 5-HTP on a daily basis for my depression. It does WONDERS for my depression but now I have to take this opioid antagonist and I'm wondering if there will be a drug interaction even though I'm taking dopamine. The first night, I took everything together and experienced dizziness, tiredness, insomnia, confusion, racing-thoughts, muscle spasms and increased thirst. I stopped taking the supplements and just take the Revia at night and haven't experienced anything but increased thirst and awesome sleep. I found a yellow oblong pill with 50 on one side and blank on the other with a line in the middle. I just wanted to know what this pill was. ## Honestly, if same pill, this pill is the devil if u don't know what it is and if you happen to be an addict. 10 minutes after taking 1, I had diarrhea liquid, non-stop projectile vomiting and going thru the worst withdrawls of my live. I have been court ordered to take the vivitrol shot & I'm about to get my 4th shot. I happy to be clean but I don't think the shot has anything to do with my sobriety. I am also diagnosed with hepatitis C. Since taking the shot I am always tired & I have ongoing cold symptoms. I also have something oily & very stinky constantly coming from my pores. I'm worried. Hi, I just had the 12 month implant inserted; for opiates. I had the vivitrol injection done on the 15th of this month and I'm also type 1 diabetic. My blood sugars have been over 600 since the injection. I've talked to 4 different pharmacists, the maker of vivitrol and the fda and I have been told that my body and the shot are not working well together. Well I have an appointment on 2-11 at a sub clinic which the Dr that gave me the shot advised probably would be the best for me. Well today I got a call from the sub clinic telling me in order for them to see and treat me I would have to test dirty for pain pills. So the nurse pretty much told me to take something a day before I come in. I am diagnosed of having a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. And my doctor prescribed me with a supplement that milk thistle is the main ingredient but that certain brand is difficult to find or not available in many pharmacies. Naltrexone can help reduce alcohol cravings, but it won't actually stop you from drinking, neither will the Lexapro. While it can worsen the side effects that the FDA lists, such as the dizziness, drowsiness, headache and nausea, you can still drink if you choose. It's just like quitting smoking, you have to help the medication work, it can't do everything on its own. My husband sufer from hepatitis B an liver disease. His swelling stormac, he can't go to toilet as udual. Am worried. Any clue to that pls ## Your husband needs to seek medical attention immediately. Given his medical conditions, he may be in full liver failure and could be going into kidney failure, as well. Not going to the bathroom regularly, coupled with the bloating could signal that his body is no longer processing out the waste and toxins that is needs to get rid of frequently. Is he on any medications?

I am currently on suboxone and have been on it for 7 years. I'm interested in switching to vivatrol (naltrexone). What I would like to know is can I switch without having to wait 2 weeks ?? I was a long time opiate patient and suboxone saved my life, but people have started stealing suboxone and this has happened to me. I figure they can't steal an inj. so maybe the shot would be better but I'm scared of the 2 week wait I keep hearing about. ## Hello, Pam! How are you? Due to the fact that there is an opiate in the Suboxone, yes you will most likely have a waiting period, before you can start the Naltrexone. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including diarrhea and abdominal cramping. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi I was currently on Suboxne 1 mg I was told I can start naltrexone I took them 12hrs apart my last dose of naltrexone was 48hrs ago I went into horrible withdrawal. I want to start my suboxne back is that OK? ## As a nurse who has worked in drug and alcohol rehabs since 2001, I would say that you were given very bad instructions. You should wait at least 2 weeks after your last dose of Suboxone before you start the Naltrexone.

DLC (P 64.3, L 18.6, M 7.1, E 9.7, B 0.3), Platelets - 206. My doc advised me to take STAMLO 5mg & ECOSPRIN AV 75. I am a smoker, non-vegetarian and alcoholic (occasionally). Is it harmful for me take alcohol along with the usage of these medicines?

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate blocker, so if you aren't already in full withdrawal when you take it, it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. You may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and possibly seizures. The best thing to do would be to seek medical attention.
